Abstract

Abstract: This article discusses a survey in S1 Studies English Language and Literature Unsoed about students’ perceptions of the factors that influence the national education system in Indonesia. There are 7 respondents in the survey consisted of 5 women and 2 men. They were respondents as doing research for a thesis under the guidance of the author deals with international standard junior high school in Purwokerto. Data were collected between 2009 and 2011 through in-depth discussion to find out their views on the national education system. The results showed that most respondents have similar views about the national education system in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran dan efektivitas pendidikan berkualitas dalam pengentasan kemiskinan di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada tiga provinsi termiskin: Papua Pegunungan, Papua Tengah, dan Papua Barat. Menggunakan metode literature review deskriptif-kualitatif, studi ini mengkaji 57 sumber ilmiah terakreditasi (periode 2020–2025), laporan BPS, TNP2K, serta lembaga internasional terkait SDGs. Hasil analisis menunjukkan korelasi negatif yang kuat antara rata-rata lama sekolah dan tingkat kemiskinan; setiap peningkatan satu tahun pendidikan berhubungan dengan penurunan kemiskinan sebesar 1,2–1,7 poin persentase. Namun, berbagai hambatan seperti keterbatasan akses, infrastruktur pendidikan yang minim, distribusi guru yang tidak merata, dan kesenjangan sosial ekonomi melemahkan dampak pendidikan di wilayah 3T. Program afirmatif seperti Beasiswa ADik, KIP, dan pendidikan vokasi berbasis lokal terbukti efektif meningkatkan partisipasi sekolah hingga 8% dan menurunkan angka kemiskinan sebesar 3–5% dalam lima tahun terakhir. Meski demikian, pelaksanaannya masih terhambat oleh manajemen anggaran dan minimnya pendampingan. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan akan efektif dalam mengurangi kemiskinan apabila terintegrasi dengan penguatan infrastruktur, pembangunan ekonomi lokal, serta kebijakan afirmatif berkelanjutan yang mendukung pencapaian SDG 1 dan SDG 4

Abstract

The differences in phonological systems between Indonesian and English systems are the central problems that university students often encountered in speaking practice. Students usually transfer the system of their own mother tongue to the target language. This article is intended to explore the problems of EFL students in Jenderal Soedirman University in speaking the target language correctly. The discussion focused on the typical mistakes that the university students made in phonological aspects. Analysis was given to problems in the aspect which occurred during their speaking class. It was hoped that this could become an idea of the EFL teacher to devise the materials for teaching students in tertiary level.
