Abstract

PT X is a carbonated soft drinks distributor company in Surabaya. Up till now, this firm is using a manual system for payroll cycle, which is no longer adequate because it cannot fulfil the need of payroll information. The information obtained was often inaccurate and to get it, it needed a lot of time and human resource. Therefore, a computerized accounting information system which could fulfil the need of the firm about some accurate and prompt information that could minimize the mistakes occurred in the firm was designed. This research was a descriptive research through a case study. The qualitative data used was from the internal resource, in the form primary data obtained from the research source. The methods used were introduction study, field study including observations, interviews and documentations. The results of this study produces output design, input design, database design, control of input and output, analysis and discussion of the conceptual design of a Data Flow Diagram and ERD data modeling and physical design of the design of output, input, database, control the output and input. It is expected that the cycle of accounting information systems are computerized payroll and wage, salary data and information on wages can be obtained in a timely and accurate, and can minimize the errors that occur so as to improve internal control.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan self-efficacy siswa melalui pembiasaan penuliasan daily journal. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa di Lembaga kursus Platinum Education Mojokerto terlihat antusias dalam menulis daily journal tersebut. Dimana tahapan pelaksaan yang dilakukan pada kegiatan ini meliputi tahap survey awal, tahap analisis kebutuhan pelatihan, tahap penyusunan desain dan pengembangan modul pelatihan, tahap pelaksanaan dan pengendalian pelatihan, dan tahap evaluasi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berkontribusi pada model penulisan daily journal dalam meningkatkan self-efficacy pada siswa kelompok usia sekolah dasar dengan penggunaan media yang baru dan menarik minat siswa dalam mengungkapkan gagasan mereka. Hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan pendampingan ini menunjukan adanya peningkatan rasa kepercayaan diri siswa (self-efficacy) setelah menerapkan media daily journal di kegiatan pembelajaran yang berlangsung.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengajarkan bahasa Inggris kepada anak-anak dengan cara yang menyenangkan dan interaktif melalui penggunaan emoji. Melalui metode "Your Day in Emojis," anakanak akan diajak untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas sehari-hari mereka menggunakan emoji, sehingga mereka dapat belajar kosakata baru dalam konteks yang familiar. Sasaran pada program kegiatan masyarakat ini adalah siswa-siswa Platinum Education Mojokerto yang memang memiliki minat dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Adapun pelaksana program ini adalah mahasiswa dan dosen pada prodi S1 Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris UNUSA yang terlibat aktif dan menyeluruh sejak perencanaan hingga pelaksanaan kegiatan. Hasil dari program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah terciptanya dampak yang sangat positif dari penggunanan emoji yang menjadikan pengalaman belajar siswa-siswa Platinum Education lebih menyenangkan dan efektif.

Abstract

Reading is an important skill to be mastered by the learners. How and when a child learns to read is one of the key educational milestones. Positive communication between the teacher and the student facilitates the easy acquisition of reading comprehension abilities (Ramsa Rawian, 2021). Reading calls for specialized training as well as deliberate effort (Ericsson, 2008). It is not a simple undertaking to teach English to young learners. In order to keep students interested and motivated in the teaching and learning process, teachers must employ effective teaching strategies (Ayua, 2017). Therefore, a study on the theme of how effective reading strategies for young learners are employed in this research is conducted. Library research was done as a method to enrich the insight and answer the question. Some reading strategies are advised to be applied in teaching reading, such as emergent literacy, the Mnemonic Technique, Read-Aloud techniques, Deciphering techniques, and the Language Experience Method.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini mengkaji pengembangan penalaran kuantitatif dan matematis dalam persiapan Seleksi Nasional Berbasis Tes (SNBT). Sebagai sistem seleksi yang baru, SNBT memerlukan siswa untuk memiliki kemampuan analisis dan pemecahan masalah yang baik. Kegiatan ini menyoroti berbagai kesulitan yang dihadapi siswa, seperti pemahaman konsep dasar, manajemen waktu, dan penyelesaian soal yang tidak rutin. Metode pembinaan yang efektif meliputi peningkatan pemahaman konsep-konsep dasar, pelatihan dalam penalaran logis, serta pemberian latihan soal yang menantang. Selain itu, pendekatan pembelajaran kolaboratif dan evaluasi berkelanjutan diterapkan untuk mengasah keterampilan siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pembinaan yang terstruktur dan berkelanjutan, dengan penekanan pada strategi penyelesaian soal serta motivasi, terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kesiapan siswa menghadapi SNBT.

Abstract

Critical thinking is a cognitive skill that must be achieved by a student in higher education. By having critical thinking, especially in a language class, a student must understand the language and the message it brings to be communicated fluently and it will be a good asset for their future, especially to face the world of work. To foster students' critical thinking, a teacher is required to give them fairly complex questions with suitable questioning techniques. Asking the right technique is a good way to trigger critical thinking. This research uses a qualitative approach and focuses on indigenous teachers who have studied abroad as a subject. The teacher was chosen because, based on theory, overseas have felt a better critical thinking environment, have adapted and absorbed ways to be active in the classroom. This study aims to determine the types of questions and questioning techniques used by teachers to trigger critical thinking students. The results showed that the teacher used high-level cognitive questions namely the types of analysis (25, 3%), synthesis (21%) and evaluation (20, 3%). Then the questioning technique that most teachers use is the decomposition type (25%). It can be concluded that the teacher can foster students' critical thinking by providing high-level questioning techniques and questions with high cognitive levels

Abstract

The activity of making macrame bags was carried out through training and product marketing. This was done to increase the income of productive age students and to increase sales of macrame bags through social media in Mayangan Village, Jogoroto District, Jombang Regency. The method of assisting community service activities used the ABCD approach (Asset Based Community Development). The result of the activity of making macrame bags for alumni students of Islamic boarding schools in the Jogoroto sub-district was to increase the income of students who were of productive age and could increase sales of macrame bags on social media.
