Abstract

This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) about essay writing skills on a short story. The objective of this research was improving essay writing skill based on personal experience on a short story using Quantum Teaching Model at class X B students of  SMA  Negeri  1  Girimulyo  Kulon  Progo.  The research procedure includes cycle I with once meeting and cycle II with once meeting. The Quantum Teaching Model implementation using TANDUR framework can improve creativity and independent of students’ learning. The average score that was reached before action research process was 57,14. At the end of the cycle I the average score reached 70,28, so the increased score was 13,14. The end of cycle II score reached 79,19 so the increased score was 8,91 from cycle 1 and fulfill Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), that is 75.

Abstract

Research aims were 1) describing the learning process of Indonesian language using picture media in order to improve skill of writing slogan or poster; 2) describing the improve of learning result after the using picture media in writing lesson of slogan or poster. Research method: this research was done in two cyclus, cyclus I and cyclus II. Data was retrieved from observation, test, field, and documentation. Results: The result shown1) In the cyclus I, the writing lesson of slogan or poster by using picture media makes the student become active to follow and focus than before. In the cyclus II, the ability of the student to write slogan or poster look improve than before. 2) The scoring analysis shown that the skill of write slogan or poster of the student improve 67,21 score compare with pra cyclus. In the cyclus I has 78,33 score and in the cyclus 2 improve become 92,77. In the cyslus I, the aspect of properly content of slogan or poster with theme has 9.3 score; the aspect of use short, clear, effective and full of meaning the language has 7,67 score; the aspect of properly word and the variation has 6.67 score; the aspect of persuasive slogan or poster has 7.67 score; the aspect of slogan or poster with good creativity and attractive content has score 7.34; the aspect of sentence arrangement of poster or slogan and idea improvement has 8.33 score.In the cyslus II, the aspect of properly content of slogan or poster with theme has 9.67 score; the aspect of use short, clear, effective and full of meaning the language have 8.33 score; the aspect of properly word and the variation had 8.66 score; the aspect of persuasive slogan or poster had 10 score; the aspect of slogan or poster with good creativity and attractive content had score 9; the aspect of sentence arrangement of poster or slogan and idea improvement has 10 score.Research aims were 1) describing the learning process of Indonesian language using picture medias in order to improving skill of writing slogan or poster; 2) describing the improve of learning result after the using picture media in writing lesson of slogan or poster. Abstract

This study aimed to describe (1) describe an increase in the activity of students in writing a text message using the method described MIND MAPP and (2) capacity building students in writing a text message using MAPP MIND method class VIII C SMP Al Islam Cipari Cilacap. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) is carried out in two cycles.The subject this study were all students of class VIII C SMP Al Islam Cipari which amounted to 37 students.Objects this study is subject to the basic competence Indonesian write a brief news text, solid, and clear.The instrument used is observation sheet, interview guides for teachers and students, student worksheets, and documentation. Data were analyzed qualitatively based on the reflection of each cycle of action. The results of this study indicate that the Mind Mapp learning methods can enhance the activity of class VIII C SMP Al Islam Cipari Cilacap on the process of learning to write news text. This is evident from the increased activity of students in each cycle. Students' creativity in writing a text message on pre-cycle  40.54%, the first cycle 67.56%  and the second cycle 89.16%. Attention students in teacher attention on pre-cycle  37.83%,  the first cycle 72.97%, and the cycle II 83.73%. The activity of students in group discussions on pre-cycle  43.24%, the first cycle 67.56%  and the second cycle 86.48%. Cooperation with well in discussions pre cycle group at 45.94%, the first cycle 64.86% and the second cycle 89.18%. Mind Mapp learning methods to improve the ability to write a text message class VIII C SMP Al Islam Cipari Cilacap. It can be seen from the aspect of the content of the idea on pre-cycle 29.72%, the first cycle 56.75%  and the second cycle 94.59%. The accuracy of the contents of the organization pre-cycle 37.83%, the first cycle 70.27%  and the second cycle 89.18%. The accuracy of grammar, pre-cycle 35.13%, the first cycle 62.16%  and the second cycle 89.18%. The use of structures and vocabulary in pre cycle 32.43%, the first cycle 64.86%  and the second cycle 89.18%. The use of the spelling of text in pre-cycle  35.13%, the first cycle 67.56%  and the second cycle 91.89% Thus, the use of Mind Mapp method can increase the activity and the ability writing text news.

Abstract

The purposes of the research are to describe (1) increased the activity of students in writing the discourse description using cooperative learning model type TAI  and (2) increase students’ skills in writing discourse descriptions using cooperative learning model type TAI XI Lukis 1 SMK Negeri 3 Kasihan Bantul. Kind of this research is classroom action research which is held in two cycles. The research subject is all XI Lukis1 SMK Negeri 3 Kasihan Bantul students that contain 26 students.  The object of this study is subject to the basic competence  Indonesian write patterned narrative discourse description, descriptive, expository, and argumentative. The instrument that will be used is observation sheet, students, and teacher interview, test, and documentation The achievement data are analyzed in a qualitative way based on the reflection of every action cycle. The results of this study indicate that the TAI type of cooperative learning model can improve student learning activities in class XI Lukis 1 SMK Negeri 3 Kasihan Bantul on the process of learning to write discourse description. This is evident from the increased activity of students in each cycle. Students’ creativity in writing discourse description on pre-cycle 46,6%, cycle I 57,7%, and cycles II 69,23%. Students attention in paying attention to the teacher in pre-cycle 57,7%, the cycle I 69,23%, cycle II 76,9%. The attitude of the students in pre-cycle 65,38%,cycle I 73,1%, cycle II 84,6%. The students being active in a group discussion in pre-cycle 30,7%, the cycle I 38,5%, and cycle II 73,1%. Well cooperative in a group discussion of pre-cycle 53,8%, the cycle I 61,5%, and cycle II 92,3%. TAI type of cooperative learning model can improve the ability to write a description discourse of class XI Lukis 1 SMK Negeri 3 Kasihan Bantul. It is able to be seen from the aspect of idea contents in pre-cycle 26,92%, the cycle I 57,69%, and cycle II 92,30%. The idea organization accuracy in pre-cycle 38,46%, cycle I 69,23%, and cycle II 84,61%. The language order accuracy in pre-cycle 34,61%, cycle I 61,53%, and cycle II 84,61%. The use of vocabulary in pre-cycle 30,76%, the cycle I 65,38%, and cycle II 84,61%. The use of texts spelling in pre-cycle 34,61%, cycle I 69,23% and cycle II 92,30%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of observing skill of television teen movie Ganteng-Ganteng Serigala, drama text comprehension on eighth-grade students, and prove the existence of a positive and significant relationship between observing television teen movie Ganteng-Ganteng Serigala and comprehension of Majalah Dinding drama text on eighth-grade students of SMP 2 Kretek Bantul. This study uses ex-post facto design. Eighth-grade students of SMP 2 Kretek Bantul are the population of this study. The class population in SMP 2 Kretek Bantul consists of 74 students. An objective test instrument is used to collect the data. It is used to retrieve the data of observing skill of television teen movie and to retrieve the data of drama text comprehension. The instruments of observing skill of television teen movie and drama text comprehension were consulted first to the expert in order to be worthy to use in collecting data and then tested on 29 students. The data from these trials were analyzed by using SPSS 19.0. The data analysis techniques are testing requirements analysis, namely the linearity test, normality test, and test hypotheses. The results showed that: (1) the level of observing skill of television teen movie on eighth grade students of SMP 2 Kretek Bantul belongs to the medium category; (2) the level of understanding drama text of eighth grade students of SMP 2 Kretek Bantul is also in the medium category; (3) there is a positive and significant relationship between observing skill of television teen  movie  Ganteng-Ganteng  Serigala  and  comprehension  of  Majalah Dinding drama text of eighth grade students in SMP 2 Kretek Bantul. This indicates by the r-value of 0.567 in a significance level of 5%. Based on the interpretation of r value according to Arikunto, the value is included in the medium category. Thus, observing skill of television teen movie do not give dominant effect on drama text comprehension. In other words, the habit of observing television teen movie gives a little contribution to  the understanding of the drama text.

Abstract

The Effectiveness Of Using Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition (CIRC) Model In  Reading Skill Of Biography Text Comprehension The Students Grade VII SMP N 1 Jetis Bantul. The purpose of this research is to prove the effectiveness of using  Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC)  in learning model than the using communicative method in reading biography text comprehension. This research did in SMP N 1 Jetis Bantul. The kind of research is Quasi-Experimental with the population of 192 students. The sample with cluster random sampling. Grade VII F is to experiment, and grade C is to class control. The analysis technique with t-test, normality test and homogeneity test. The result of this research shows that there is a significant effect on the achievement of reading biography text using CIRC model than the achievement of reading biography text using the communicative method.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the use / application of Jigsaw II cooperative learning in enhancing the ability of quantitative data analysis courses students of educational research 5th semester,  Indonesian Language and Literature Teaching, FKIP, Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta. Data action type of cooperative learning of Jigsaw II is collected by observation. Data on the student's ability quantitative analysis of the data collected by the testing techniques. Student response data on cooperative learning of Jigsaw II is collected by interview. The analyzed data is qualitative data is data from the learning process of planning, action, reflection to assign actions I. Based on the results of research and discussion since the first cycle to cycle dengan III can be concluded that cooperative learning of Jigsaw model II (1) improve the ability to apply the formula of quantitative analysis in the course of educational research. Increased ability  proved that (a) the competence of the central tendency meenerapkan formula of 60%, 75% to 90%; (B) the competence to apply the formula of correlation analysis with a standard deviation of 72%, 84%, to 84%; (C) the competence to apply the formula of correlation analysis with a deviation of 40%, 66%, to 85%; (D) the competence to apply the formula of correlation analysis with the original data of 40%, 68%, to 88%; € competencies and comparative analysis with t test of 56%, 64% to 80%. (2) can improve the quality of learning characterized by increasingly effective student learning time with the group and the more effective in assessing the quality of the students themselves

Abstract

This paper contains a study of hegemony in the novel Para Priyayi by Umar Kayam and other forms of hegemony are held by the ruling group. Theory is used to analyze data is the theory of the formation of culture to dominant, residual, and emergent developed by Williams (1989). The results of the study showed that the hegemony contained in the novel The Priyayi is hegemony groups as the dominant group or groups hegemonic to civil society. In the days before World War II, the hegemony committed by the Dutch Government by way of consensus: member high salaries to employees goverment and implement controls to sanction every effort to government employees who read and hang out with people or groups of emergent movement. During the time of World War II hegemony committed by the Japanese government to control strict, militaristic, and miserable priayi and civilians. There is the time of independence, hegemony committed by groups or emergent movement. At era New Order hegemony committed by the military as the dominant group prioritizes strict and authoritarian control. Form of hegemony committed by the dominant form of political hegemony of language, education, and mass media. In the face of the hegemony of the priayi group acts as a group subordinate rulers as dominant hegemonic group.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan profil pelajar Pancasila dalam buku bahasa Indonesia SMP kelas VII dan SMA kelas X. Data penelitian berupa kata, frasa, kalimat, paragraf, dan wacana yang memuat penerapan Profil Pelajar Pancasila pada buku ajar Bahasa Indonesia SMP kelas VII dan SMA kelas X. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian merupakan peneliti yang dibekali teori mengenai Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Selain itu, peneliti dilengkapi dengan instrumen berupa kartu data yang memuat Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Instrumen tersebut divalidasi dengan validasi konten oleh pakar (expert judgement). Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan teknik pemeriksaan teman sejawat melalui diskusi atau Focus Group Discusion (FGD). Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di dalam buku bahasa Indonesia jenjang sekolah menengah terdapat penerapan Profil Pelajar Pancasila meliputi dimensi (1) beriman, bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, dan berakhlak mulia, (2) berkebhinekaan global, (3) bergotong royong, (4) mandiri, (5) bernalar kritis, dan (6) kreatif.Kata kunci: bahasa indonesia, buku, penerapan, profil pelajar pancasila
