Through a post-developmentalism perspective, this research uncovers how masculine and feminine binaries reinforce inequality in PAUD. The findings of this study indicate that children often reinforce inequality through understanding gender stereotypes, choosing the type of song, and selecting the song instrument that is constructed in early childhood education. It is hoped that this research will become a reflection for teachers and adults to be more gender sensitive. Abstract

Kata kunci: Post-Developmentalisme, Multikulturalisme, Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini AbstractThe purpose of writing this article is to reflect on the diversity that exists in early childhood education. The writing of this article uses a meta-analytical research methodology that integrates several research findings conducted in various countries. Through the perspective of post-developmentalism, this paper reveals how the practice in PAUD is often more focused on the cognitive side of children, without seeing the negative potential of children's diversity based on social, economic, gender, cultural, racial, and religious conditions. This finding is expected to be a reflection of teachers and adults being more sensitive to diversity which often shows injustice, whether it is done by teachers or children. So that PAUD is not only a place to stimulate children's development but also a safe, comfortable, and fun place. Keywords: Post- Developmentalism, Multiculturalism, Early Childhood Education

Abstract

This research aims to explain the practice of religious tolerance in early childhood education in Cirebon, Indonesia. Cirebon has a strong Islamic religious background, but is also diverse in terms of ethnicity, race, culture and religion. With a semi-ethnographic approach, this research was conducted in a Buddhist-based kindergarten which has religious diversity among its students. The research results show that there is ambivalence in the application of religious values, where the Puja Bakti ritual is considered as a way to teach moral values and goodness, but is also taught as a form of worship. Economic constraints are an important factor limiting schools' ability to provide appropriate religious education for all students. This research emphasizes the importance of inclusive and sensitive approaches to religious diversity in early childhood education, as well as greater financial support to create educational environments that respect all faiths.
