Abstract

The empowerment of farmers in the application of the Legowo range must be increased. Farmer empowerment that has been applied in agricultural activities, especially in the cultivation of lowland rice is not appropriate and optimal. Therefore, farmer empowerment that includes knowledge, attitudes and skills must be improved to increase farmer productivity and income. This study aims to improve the empowerment of farmers in the application of the Legowo row system. This research was conducted in March-July 2020. The research location was determined intentionally in Babakankaret Village, Cianjur Regency, Cianjur Regency, West Java Province with a sample of farmers who cultivated lowland rice. Determination of selected population areas intentionally with the following criteria 1) potential area for lowland rice farming and the majority of the population involved in lowland rice, 2) farmer groups that have received the SL-PTT (Integrated Crop Management Field School) program, and 3) time, energy and cost constraints. The number of respondents was 49 farmers from three groups of farmers. Data collection is done through observation, questionnaire distribution, interviews, and literature studies. Descriptive analysis is used to explain farmer empowerment, regression analysis is used to find out the factors that influence each indicator in individual characteristics and counseling support for farmer empowerment in implementing the legowo line system, while W Kendall's analysis is used to determine priority issues made into counseling material or topic for increase the empowerment of farmers in the application of the Legowo row system. The results of the analysis show that the level of farmer empowerment is included in the medium category, and the area of ​​land from individual characteristic factors and the frequency of counseling from extension support has a significant effect on farmer empowerment. In designing strategies to increase the empowerment of farmers in the application of the Legowo row system, this is done by providing counseling to increase the frequency of counseling as well as providing suggestions for utilizing cultivated land to implement the Legowo row system.

Abstract

Urban Farming is growing rapidly and becoming as a part of the solution for food insecurityand malnutrition problems of urban citizen. But, the facilitation and development of urbanfarming have not been able to overcome problems and pressure faced by urban farmers mainlyaccessibility to agroinput yet. Objectives of this research were to 1) identify the problems ofagroinput, 2) to know accessibility of farmer to agroinput, 3) to analyze the policy implicationto the development of urban farming. The research used an explanatory survey method.Sampling method used waspurposive stratified random sampling. Availability of agroinput andfarmer’s accessibility were quantified using Likert’s Scale. Respondents were member offarmer’s group of paddy agribusiness, sheep, and processing of agriculture products. Thisresearch was conducted in the villages of Situ Gede and Margajaya for intra-urban, and PasirBuncir and Pasir Eurih of Tamansari for peri-urban.The observed variables are land, water,seeds/seedlings, fertilizers, pesticides, technologyas well as labor.Results of the study:1)agroinput that are difficult to access by farmers are land, labor, feed concentrate, fertilizer, andseed.Paddy land ownership in peri-urban is less than 0.2 Ha and in intra-urban areas are landlessfarmers. Outside labor is difficult to access because of itslimited amount or availibility and thewages is relatively expensive. Feed concentrate for sheep rarely available and not affordablebecause it’s expensive. Limited accessibility to agroinput for urban agribusiness and itsproblems and challenge will bring changing policy implication for developing urban farming,mainly for facilitation, development of urban agribusiness model, empowering institusional, andregulatory.

Abstract

Perubahan perilaku konsumsi masyarakat Indonesia sebagai dampak dari adanya pandemi seperti dalam hal mencari informasi, menggunakan, maupun membeli barang maupun jasa. Penggunaan teknologi informasi dalam perdagangan dan jasa salahsatunya dengan memanfaatkan e-commerce untuk mengakses peluang pasar yang lebih. Sistem penjualan konvensional cenderung minim akan informasi khususnya dalam hal persaingan harga pasaran.Para petani padi di Kabupaten Cianjur masih menggunakan sistem konvensional dalam menjual hasil panennya. Pengkajian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat preferensi petani padi (Oryza sativa L.) dalam penggunaan platform e-commerce sebagai sarana pemasaran, menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi preferensi petani padi (Oryza sativa L.) dalam pemilihan e-commerce, menentukan strategi dalam  meningkatkan preferensi petani padi (Oryza sativa L.) dalam pemanfaatan e-commerce sebagai sarana pemasaran.Berdasarkan hasil pengkajian dari 63orang sampel responden, menjelaskan bahwa tingkat preferensi petani padi terhadap penggunaan e-commerce sebagai sarana pemasaran berada kategori rendah (7%).Faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap preferensi petani padi (Oryza sativaL.) dalam pemanfaatan e-commercesebagai sarana pemasaran secara signifikan yaitu kesesuaian dengan kebutuhan (Sig.0,05).
