Abstract

Consumptive behavior is the behavior of buying goods that are less necessary to fulfill personal satisfaction so that someone no longer distinguishes between needs and wants. The offers presented by e-commerce can be a risk for Udayana University students because they see it as an opportunity to tend to buy goods that may not be essential. When viewed physically, women tend to have more needs than men. So consumptive behavior must be accompanied by an understanding of the knowledge of managing money well. Financial literacy is very useful for students to avoid consumptive behavior. This study aims to see the effect of the use of e-commerce and financial literacy on the consumptive behavior of Udayana University students. The number of samples used in this study was 400 samples. The analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis techniques and Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis. The results of this study indicate that the use of e-commerce has a positive and significant effect on the consumptive behavior of Udayana University students. This means that there is a unidirectional relationship between the variable of e-commerce use and the variable of consumptive behavior. Meanwhile, financial literacy has a negative effect on the consumptive behavior of Udayana University students. This means that there is a non-unidirectional relationship between the literacy variable and the consumer behavior variable.

Abstract

Bali Province is a world-renowned tourism destination that significantly contributes to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of the region. However, the COVID-19 pandemic led to a severe economic downturn, causing negative economic growth. This study aims to examine the simultaneous and partial effects of tourist visits, local revenue (PAD), and investment on the GRDP of Bali Province. The research utilizes secondary data from nine regencies/cities in Bali over a six-year period (2018–2023). Data analysis is conducted using panel data regression with the Eviews 12 software. The results indicate that tourist visits, PAD, and investment collectively influence the GRDP of Bali Province. Partially, tourist visits and PAD have a positive and significant impact on GRDP, while investment has a negative but insignificant effect. The findings suggest that optimizing tourism potential, improving infrastructure, maximizing the potential of each region to increase local revenue, and exploring investment opportunities beyond the tourism sector—while supporting both domestic and foreign investment are essential to boosting Bali’s GRDP.

Cooperatives play a strategic role in driving the economic growth of their members, particularly through capital support and the utilization of digital technology. The Kuta Mimba Cooperative provides capital loans and has developed an e-commerce feature called My Merchant on the Kuta Mimba Mobile Application to support its members who are Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) actors. This study aims to: 1) examine the direct influence of capital loans and e-commerce utilization on MSME production; 2) examine the direct influence of capital loans and e-commerce utilization on MSME income; and 3) examine the indirect influence of capital loans and e-commerce utilization on MSME income through MSME production. This study employs a quantitative method using path analysis, direct effect testing, and the Sobel test (for indirect effects). The respondents consist of 66 cooperative members who use the My Merchant feature and have received capital loans. The results show that capital loans do not have a direct effect on MSME production, while e-commerce utilization has a positive and significant effect on MSME production. Capital loans have a positive and significant direct effect on MSME income, whereas e-commerce utilization does not have a direct effect on MSME income. Indirectly, capital loans do not influence MSME income through MSME production, while e-commerce utilization has a positive and significant indirect effect on MSME income through MSME production.

Abstract

Small and Medium Industries (SMEs) have become a crucial pillar of Indonesia's economy and have proven to be key drivers of economic resilience during times of crisis. According to data from the Department of Industry and Trade of Bali Province, the food and beverage SMEs in Denpasar City have the highest number of business units, totaling 1,002 units. However, the declining consumer interest in food and beverage SMEs has led to a decrease in their income. Capital, labor, the use of digital payment systems, and the adoption of e-commerce are expected to increase the income of food and beverage SMEs in Denpasar City. This study is a quantitative research involving a population of 1,002 food and beverage SME units. It aims to examine the effect of capital, labor, the use of digital payments, and e-commerce on the income of food and beverage SME actors in Denpasar City. The sample consists of 91 business units selected using a non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The findings indicate that capital, labor, the use of digital payment systems, and e-commerce have a simultaneous and significant effect on the income of food and beverage SME actors in Denpasar City. Furthermore, each variable capital, labor, digital payment usage, and e-commerce individually has a positive effect on income. The implication of this research is that increasing capital, adding labor, and promoting the use of digital payment systems and e-commerce can enhance the income of food and beverage SMEs in Denpasar City.
