Tulisan ini mengungkapkan manajemen strategik dalam pengelolaan Pesantren Madinatul Ulum mulai dari merumuskan program, melaksanakan serta mengevaluasi apa yang telah dikerjakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Pesantren Madinatul Ulum dalam pengelolaannya sudah cukup baik, dapat dilihat dari tumbuhnya pesantren-pesantren MUB cabang dibeberapa tempat di kota Bandung. Pesantren menerapkan manajemen strategik dalam pengelolaannya melalui proses formulasi strategik yang berisi rumusan-rumusan program yang akan dilaksanakan yang disesuaikan dengan keadaan sumber daya yang ada serta dipengaruhi juga oleh lingkungan sekitar. Implementasi atau proses pelaksanaan program-program yang telah dirumuskan pada tahapan formulasi strategik untuk memastikan program terlaksana dengan baik. Evaluasi diadakan dalam tiga tahap diantaranya evaluasi pendek dilakukan setiap hari oleh pengurus dan asatidz, evaluasi menengah dilakukan setiap satu bulan sekali oleh pimpinan dan pengurus inti, serta evaluasi untuk jangka panjang dilakukan secara menyeluruh dalam setahun sekali. The purpose of the authors do research at Pesantren Madinatul Ulum is to know the strategic management in the management, ranging from how to formulate the program, implement and evaluate from what what has been done. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. The technique that is done in collecting the data is through the whole interview to the leadership or assistant leadership and board members, observation, and study documentation. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that Madinatul Ulum Pesantren in its management is good enough, it can be seen from the growth of MUB pesantren in some places in Bandung city. Can be seen from the birth of santri-santri who memorized al-qur'an and has been able to provide benefits to the outside community that is by applying the knowledge he has gained. In this case pesantren apply strategic management in its management through strategic formulation process which contains formulation of program that will be implemented that adapted to existing resource situation and also influenced by environment. The evaluation is held in three stages such as short evaluations conducted every day by the board and asatidz, intermediate evaluation is conducted once a month by the head and core management, and long term evaluation is done thoroughly once a year.
