Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the factors of production that affect the income of farming businesses. The factors of production used are the cost of production used, land area and labor use. The data of this study were carried out in a primary and secondary manner. Primary data was conducted by interview with Granola Potato farmers in Sumber District, Probolinggo Regency while secondary data was obtained from related agencies. The data analysis method used uses quantitative descriptive methods. The results obtained from this study are (1) The total cost with the average production of potato harvests of 19,000 kg is Rp.57,205,000 generated by the Granola variety potato farming income of Rp.105,295,000. (2) Variables of arable land area (X1) and labor (X3) partially affect positively and significantly affect the income of Granola Potato farmers. Meanwhile, the variable cost of production (X2) has a negative and insignificant effect. (3) Variables of arable land area (X1), production costs (X2) and labor (X3) simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the income of Granola Potato farmers in Sumber District, Probolinggo Regency Keywords: Production factors: income: Granola potato farmers

Abstract

Traditionally, oyster mushroom cultivation uses a simple method, namely by utilizing wood sawdust that have undergone weathering as a planting medium (baglog). To support the growth and production of oyster mushrooms, need add nutrients such as rice bran and molasses to baglogs. This study aims to determine the growth and production of oyster mushroom plants by adding bran and molasses to baglogs. Based on the results of the study, the following conclusions are: 1) the addition of bran 20% per baglog gives the best results on the volume of mycelium, the diameter of the fruit hood, and the wet weight of the fruit, 2) the concentration of molasses does not affect all parameters and 3) the interaction of adding bran 30% per baglog with a molasses concentration of 360 cc per dough on the speed of appearance of pinheads and the wet weight of the fruit.

Abstract

Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L) is one of the horticultural plants that acts as a natural antioxidant. Shallot's productivity in Indonesia is relatively low. It is influenced by various factors, one of which is due to the attack of a soil-borne pathogen, namely Fusarium oxysporum. Symptoms of Fusarium oxysporum pathogen attack are yellow or pale green leaves and more elongated growth. Severe attack leads plant to death. Balanced fertilization and biopesticides application can prevent Fusarium wilt. This study aims to reduce and control Fusarium wilt disease. The research method used was the Split Plot Design method which consisted of two factors with the main plot, namely the application of suspension of microorganisms (S) which consists of two levels, namely fungicide application (S0) and Fobio application and the sub-plot, namely the application of various organic fertilizers (M) which consists of three levels, namely control (chemical fertilizer) (M0), chicken manure (M1), and Piensbio organic fertilizer (M2). Observation data for each treatment will be analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by the Duncan test (alpha 5%) if there were differences in each treatment. The results of this study, the main plot treatment, fungicide application (S0), showed an incubation period of 29 days and an average intensity of disease attacks of 4.2%. The treatment of subplots, a type of organic fertilizer (M), is unable to suppress the intensity of the attack and slow down the incubation period of the Fusarium sp on shallot crops. There was no interaction between the treatment of the main plots and the subplots on all the observation parameters.

Abstract

PKM Development of Coffee Farmer Ecosystem through Karangbayat Village Farmer Group with the Application of Electik Grinder Machine Technology PKM activities in the Karangbayat Village Farmers Group, Sumberbaru, Jember, are facing several problems. First, farmer groups only act as learning classes, causing obstacles in production activities. Second, farmers have difficulty selling their coffee harvest at a reasonable price because they depend on debt bondage/middlemen. Third, there is a lack of variety in coffee farming products because partners have not been able to develop quality coffee products. PKM's goal: to increase farmer groups into production units, buy farmers' harvests at fair market prices and produce quality coffee. Through the use of Electric Grinder and roaster machines, partners have succeeded in developing farmer groups in production and gaining knowledge in coffee processing
