Abstract

Teenager girls are at risk of suffering from iron nutritional anemia. Anemic teenage girls also have less vitamin C intake. Anemia has an impact on learning achievement, ease of infection and impact when pregnant in the future. The study aimed to find out the effect of giving Fe and vitamin C tablets. The research design was a one-group pre-post test, using 41 Health Analyst female students from Tanjungkarang Health Polytechnic, which were determined by random sampling. Blood added tablets containing 60mg Fe, 400mcg folate, and 500mg vitamin C tablets were given once/week for 17 days (3 tablets). Hb levels were measured before and after supplementation using a digital analyzer MINDRAY BC-3600. Data collection was conducted from August-September 2020. The proportion of Hb <12mg/dl decreased from 20 (48,78%) at before to 16 (39,02%) subject after supplementation. The mean Hb level before supplementation was 12,15mg/dl, MCV 80,11fL, MCH 25,85 lpg and MCHC 32,22% and after supplementation, the mean of Hb was 12,05mg/dl, MCV 79,83 MCH 26,45, and MCHC 33,07.  The results of statistic test showed that supplementation had a significant effect on Hb levels (p-value=0,000)  MCV (p-value=0,000), MCH (p-value=0,000), and MCHC (p-value=0,000). Supplementation can reduce the proportion of anemia and improve the erythrocyte index. Another research with longer duration time and nutritional education combination is needed to confirm the increasing of  nutrient intake (Fe, vitamin C) and Hb level.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPada akhir Maret tahun 2020, di Desa Cipadang  terdapat 16 orang dengan pengawasan kasus covid-19 (ODP) dan meningkat menjadi 84 orang pada 14 April 2020. Social distancing dan penggunaan masker belum dilaksanakan masyarakat di Desa Cipadang. Di sisi lain, Cipadang merupakan lokus stunting di Pesawaran. Tujuan kegiatan adalah terdistribusinya bantuan, meningkatnya kesadaran warga untuk pencegahan covid 19 serta pengetahuan kader tentang pemberian makanan seimbang pada baduta di Desa Cipadang.  Pengetahuan kader tentang pemberian makanan seimbang bagi baduta meningkat dengan nilai rata-rata dari 63,53 menjadi 71,18. Uji paired t test berpengaruh pada tingkat pengetahuan kader (p=0,000). Penyuluhan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan kader secara bermakna. Penggunaan masker dan praktek social distancing telah dilaksanakan oleh kader posyandu dalam kegiatan posyandu maupun pada saat berinteraksi dengan orang lain. Pendampingan kader diperlukan untuk menjamin penerapan pemberian makanan seimbang bagi baduta di Desa Cipadang. Kata Kunci: Pencegahan Covid-19, Makanan Baduta, Desa Cipadang  ABSTRACT At the end of March 2020, in Desa Cipadang there were 16 people with surveillance of the Covid-19 case and increased to 84 people on April 14, 2020. Social distancing and wearing of masks have not been implemented by the community in Desa Cipadang. On the other hand, Cipadang is a stunting locus in Pesawaran. The purpose of the activity is the distribution of aid, increasing awareness of residents for the prevention of Covid 19 and knowledge of cadres about giving balanced food to baduta in Desa Cipadang. The knowledge of cadres about providing balanced food for baduta increased with an average value from 63.53 to 71.18. The paired t test affected the cadres' level of knowledge (p = 0.000). Education increase cadres' knowledge significantly. The use of masks and social distancing practices have been carried out by posyandu cadres in posyandu activities and when interacting with other people.. Cadre assistance is needed to ensure the implementation of balanced feeding for baduta in Cipadang Village. Keywords: Prevention of Covid-19, Diet for Baduta, Desa Cipadang

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pembelajaran tatap muka (PTM) pada satuan pendidikan di Bandar Lampung dimulai 14 Maret 2022 dengan tetap menerapkan protokol kesehatan covid-19 untuk mencegah penularan covid. Pelaksanaan puasa ramadhan yang jatuh di awal bulan April 2022, berisiko menurunkan asupan gizi anak. Hal ini dapat menurunkan imunitas tubuh, sementara virus covid-19 masih berkembang di masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan guru dan orang tua murid tentang pangan sebagai imun booster. Metode yang digunakan adalah edukasi lewat virtual maupun tatap muka serta praktek mengolah sosis modifikasi. Edukasi dilakukan secara virtual melalui media grup WhatsApp dan secara tatap muka. Beberapa pertanyaan diajukan peserta edukasi pada saat edukasi tatap muka maupun lewat media grup WhatsApp. Nilai rata-rata pengetahuan tentang pangan sebagai imun booster meningkat sebesar 23,34 point (46,10%) dari 50,62 pada pre-test menjadi 73,96 pada post-test. Berdasarkan uji paired t test, edukasi dan praktek mengolah sosis modifikasi berpengaruh pada tingkat pengetahuan guru dan orang tua murid  (p=0,000). Edukasi tentang gizi dan kesehatan pada institusi pendidikan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pangan sebagai imun booster pada orang tua murid dan guru Kata Kunci: Kapasitas, Guru, Orang Tua Murid, Pangan, Imun Booster  ABSTRACT Face-to-face learning (PTM) at education units in Bandar Lampung begins March 14, 2022 while continuing to implement the Covid-19 health protocol to prevent Covid transmission. Implementation of Ramadan fasting which falls in early April 2022, risks reducing children's nutritional intake. This can reduce the body's immunity, while the Covid-19 virus is still developing in society. Community service activities aim to increase the knowledge of teachers and parents of students about food as an immune booster. The method used is counseling via virtual, face-to-face and demonstrate of processing modified sausages. Education is carried out virtually by WhatsApp group and face to face. Several questions were asked by counseling participants during face-to-face counseling or through the WhatsApp group media. The average value of knowledge about food as an immune booster increased by 23.34 points (46.10%) from 50.62 in the pre test to 73.96 in the post test. Based on the paired t test, counseling and the practice of processing modified sausages had an effect on the level of knowledge of teachers and parents (p=0.000).
