Abstract

This research aims to analyze the level of the society’s awareness of halal-certified chicken meat, and estimates the values of society’s willingness to pay for halal-certified chicken meat. There are 102 female married moslem respondents in Pedurungan sub-district, Semarang, who were selected using accidental sampling. This study uses several independent variables namely in-come, education, age, chicken meat consumption, awareness of the importance of halal-certi-fied products, and number of family members. The dependent variable in this research is value of respondent’s willingness to pay. The results of observations was tested using the regression model of ordinary least square. The results of the analysis showed that 96 out of 102 respond-ents stated that they were willing to pay for certified halal meat at a range of Rp 36,500.00 to Rp 39,000.00 per kilogram. The variables that influenced respondents’ willingness to pay were: income, education, consumption of chicken meat, halal awareness of products, and number of dependent family. Those variables influenced consumer’s willingness to pay positively and significantly. Meanwhile, the variable age affected significantly at a negative direction.

Abstract

The study purpose to determine the effect of difference in feeding period (starter – finisher) and protein level meat – bone ratio and protein mass of breast and thigh of pelung chicken from 1 to 11 weeks old of age. The material used was 1 week old chickens pelung with sex between male and female are not distinguishability (mixture) of 96 tail-weight 49.92 +0.35 grams (0.701% CV). Feed used in this study are corn, rice bran, fish meal and broiler concentrate so CP 112. Research using experimental design using Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments ie T1 = treatment by administering Coarse Protein (PK) 18% for 3 weeks and PK 15% for 7 weeks; T2 = treated with PK 18% for 5 weeks and PK 15% for 5 weeks; and T3 = treatment with PK 18% for 7 weeks and then given PK 15% for 3 weeks and each of 8 replicates for each treatment. The parameters observed were feed intake, and feed rate. The results showed that the difference in length of feeding period and protein level no significant effect (P> 0.05) against the ratio of meat and bone mass of the thigh meat protein, while the mass of the protein significantly affect breast meat (P <0.05).Key words: pelung chicken, meat - bone ratio, the mass of the chest and thigh meat protein.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of inclusive values ​​in Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah learning at Muhammadiyah University of Kuningan. This qualitative research or case study, namely an in-depth investigation, was carried out through a field research procedure (field research) that used descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people, observable behavior, and emerging phenomena. The research subjects or informants were Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah students and lecturers. The data collection technique is observation, and the data analysis uses an inductive thinking approach. The results of the research show that at the Muhammadiyah University of Kuningan, AIK learning activities have not fully implemented inclusive values, one of which is that non-Muslim students are still obliged to take part in Islamic courses and activities. Therefore, this study suggests that lecturers and students can apply inclusive values ​​through Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah learning activities so that through the introduction of religious learning, students can implement them in their daily lives, both inside and outside of the university environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the amount of income generated from native chicken farming businesses in Payungan Village, Kaliwungu District, Semarang Regency, as well as the factors that influence the income of native chicken farmers in the same area. The research employs a quantitative approach, using the formula of total revenue minus total costs, and analyzes the ratio between production output and the expenses incurred by the farmers in Payungan Village, Kaliwungu District, Semarang Regency. The population is considered unlimited, so the researcher applied a random sampling technique with predetermined criteria. A total of 30 respondents were selected from Payungan Village, Kaliwungu District, Semarang Regency. The data processing and analysis revealed that the average income from native chicken farming in Payungan Village, Kaliwungu District, Semarang Regency is Rp. 5,080,000. The factors influencing household income from native chicken farming include fluctuations in market prices and the quantity of chickens sold or harvested. Based on the analysis of the production-to-cost ratio, the study concludes that household native chicken farming in Payungan Village, Kaliwungu District, Semarang Regency is feasible and worth continuing.
