Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing and describing the influence of principals' leadership and school culture on teacher performance, either partially or simultaneously. To perform these tests, this research uses quantitative methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires and documentation, and the data obtained were analyzed through multiple regression tests which first tested the normality distribution of the data, symptoms of heteroscedasticity and multicollinearity. The results obtained from the research conducted stated that the data were normally distributed, there were no symptoms of heteroscedasticity and multicollinearity so that the test was continued with parametric statistical analysis. So it can be concluded that the principal's leadership partially has a significant influence on teacher performance. Likewise, school culture has a significant influence on teacher performance in partial testing. In simultaneous testing, it was stated that the principal's leadership and school culture had a significant influence on the performance of kindergarten teachers in the Banyuasin III sub-district, Banyuasin Regency. Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the influence of teacher motivation and competence on student learning outcomes at public elementary schools in the District of Sematang Borang Palembang. This research was conducted at a public elementary school in the District of Sematang Borang Palembang. The type of research used in this seresearch is quantitative research. The total population in this study was 100 teachers. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out in several ways, namely questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is a multiple regression model with the help of SPSS for Windows. The results of the study concluded that partially Motivation had a positive and significant effect on Student Learning Outcomes at Public Elementary Schools in Sematang Borang District, Palembang City and Teacher Competence had a positive and significant effect on Student Learning Outcomes at Public Elementary Schools in Sematang Borang District, Palembang City. Meanwhile, simultaneously Teacher Motivation and Competence have a significant effect on Student Learning Outcomes at Public Elementary Schools in Sematang Borang District, Palembang. In conclusion, teacher motivation and competence influence elementary school student learning outcomes. Keywords: Motivation, Teacher Competence, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of leadership behavior and work motivation of school principals on the quality of teacher teaching. This research was carried out at Public Middle Schools in West Prabumulih District which consists of 2 (two) schools, namely Public Middle School 9 Prabumulih and Public Middle School 4 Prabumulih. The time used to conduct this research is 4 (four) months, namely December 2023 to March 2024. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach. The population in this study was 116 people consisting of teachers, school principals, and community leaders. After calculating using the Slovin formula, the number of samples in this study was 90 people. Data collection techniques in this research are questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Instrument testing uses validity and reliability tests. Test the analysis prerequisites using the Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, and Linearity Test. Data analysis uses an Inferential Statistical Test, Multiple Linear Regression, t-test (partial), F-test (simultaneous), and coefficient of determination. The results of this research show that the principal's leadership behavior and work motivation together have a significant effect on the teaching quality of teachers in State Middle Schools in West Prabumulih District. A significance value of 0.00 was obtained, which means it is smaller than 0.05. The influence of all independent variables on the quality of teacher teaching is 92.2% and the remaining 7.8% is influenced by other variables not examined in this research. The conclusion is that the principal's leadership behavior and work motivation influence the quality of teacher teaching. Keywords: Leadership Behavior; Teaching Quality; Work motivation
