Abstract

In the telecommunication industry, network infrastructure holds a major role to deliver excellent service and achieve higher Continuity of Service to the customer. The demand of capacity and broadband speed in good quality (Internet, video on demand, wireless broadband, etc) has brought a fundamental change in the infrastructure and must be prepared by provider in deploying fiber optic backbone as part of a reliable system with the lowest attenuation. Factorial Design and Analysis of Experiments were used to get exact results that attenuation is determined by related components such as fiber optic brand, type of splicer, type of fiber termination and the location placed. Power Budget analysis is needed in deploying all the communication system, besides Operation and Maintenance activities in managing and monitoring the quality in real time mode. So when there is a fault in the system, it could be warned and recovered immediately. This gives signs to all telecommunication industry parties (provider, vendor, and regulator) to give mutualism contribution in providing reliable services to the customer.

Abstract

Tight competition in the broadband industry has forced the provider to have a good product propotition and strategy in the market, including market segmentation and type of services delivered based on customer’s expextation and intention to buy. This research aims to make a product proposition based on two major criteries in fixed broadband service, which are speed and price of the product, by looking into the competition in existing market (competitor’s product). As many players in Indonesia have created very tight situation, the will be launched product should have an attractive matter or differentiation in order to compete and get a “buy in” of the customer. In the research, some analysis was conducted across all the propositions by spreading questionnaires to respondents in urban area especially in Jakarta and Bandung, thus the provider can create product with an appropriate specifications to answer the needs of customers on their affordable price to buy. Some close-ended questions in the questionairres were scaled and performed by basic statistical approach methods. The result shows that product with affordable price is still become the choice of respondents in each segment (low, medium and high income). Price list per speed which is fitted to any segments is also suggested in this research. The result of the research can also be used to develop the product as a differentiation to be the choices and preferencesof customers.

Abstract

Perancangan Prototype Kanopi Pelindung Jemuran Berbasis Internet Of thing dirancang untuk memudahkan masyarakat dalam proses penjemuran pakaian atau makanan secara efektif. Saat ini banyak masyarakat yang mendapatkan masalah pada proses penjemuran, hujan yang turun secara tiba-tiba membuat masyarakat kesulitan dalam proses pengangkatan jemuran. Oleh sebab itu dirancang prototype kanopi pelindung jemuran berbasis Internet of thing yang terintergrasi dengan aplikasi blynk dengan memanfaatkan tiga sensor yang dipasang yang berfungsi untuk memonitoring dan mendapatkan data cuaca. Yaitu : sensor hujan berfungsi untuk mendeteksi turunnya hujan, sensor cahaya berfungsi untuk mendeteksi gelap atau cerahnya cahaya dan sensor suhu yang berfungsi untuk mendeteksi perubahan suhu. berdasarkan kesimpulan data yang didapatkan dari ketiga sensor tersebut, pengguna dapat memutuskan untuk menutup atau membuka kanopi yang digerakkan menggunakan motor servo. Sehingga proses penjemuran dapat dilakukan secara efektif.. Kata kunci:  Internet of thing, Blynk, Kanopi, Monitoring cuaca, Jemuran.

Abstract

Penggunaan printer dan tinta cartridge untuk mencetak data dalam bentuk teks ataupun gambar masih sering digunakan. Printer yang sering digunakan akan membuat tinta cartridge cepat habis, biasanya pengguna printer akan memesan kepada toko melalui aplikasi e-commerce. Toko akan mengirimkan melalui gudang barang, namun seringkali terjadi kesalahan barang antara yang dipesan dan diterima user. Hal ini dapat mempengaruhi kepuasan user, oleh karena itu penting bagi toko dalam melakukan cek manual terhadap barang yang yang akan dikirim. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, dibuatlah sebuah model machine learning menggunakan Python dan Convolutional neural network yang dapat mengklasifikasikan citra hasil tangkapan kamera ponsel fokus pada penelitian ini mengklasifikasikan citra tinta cartridge HP 680 black color dan tri color. Dimulai dengan mengumpulkan dataset yang sudah ada berdasarkan pengalaman penulis yang pernah bekerja sebagai checker pada gudang barang. Kemudian langkah preprocessing agar citra siap untuk diinputkan kedalam model, lalu membuat arsitektur model dan melakukan pelatihan. Di akhir penelitian akan dilakukan evaluasi untuk melihat akurasi dari prediksi pada citra data test.
