Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic outbreak which has led to the enactment of a central government policy for employees to work from home, both private employees and government employees, so that all systems and parties related to licensing. The delay in the process and the ship's operation to a halt and the ship's departure. This makes company leaders to look for solutions in dealing with these situations because the company is experiencing a decline in revenue, which has an impact on the income of each employee as well. The purpose of this study is to analyze and examine whether a decrease in income will have an impact on employee performance and company operations. The method used in this research is the method of Structural Equation Model (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of the findings in this study are a partial decrease in income has a positive effect on employee performance and company operational performance but is not significant. Leadership style partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and company operational performance.

Abstract

Ships are chosen as the main means of sea transportation, because the delivery of goods can be carried out in large quantities, and the costs incurred are smaller than other means of sea transportation. A container ship is a ship specifically designed to transport containers. On container ships, it is inseparable from the problem of tying container cargo such as, how to carry out container cargo tying on the MV ship. Tanto Tenang, and what causes the implementation of container cargo tying not to be in accordance with procedures, which are often found on container ships, especially regarding cargo lashing tools. The method used by the researcher is a qualitative method. The research data were obtained from primary data and secondary data, while data collection was obtained from observations, interviews, descriptive and literature. In the study on the analysis of the implementation of container cargo tying on the MV ship. Tanto Tenang based on lashing equipment standards, in the implementation it has not been in accordance with the Standard Operational Procedure, because in the implementation it is hampered by tools that are less supportive, the lack of lashing equipment for loading containers is one of the main causes. Because in its implementation, lashing tools are often lost and lacking. In container lashing, the lashing gang factor that does not understand the Standard Operational Procedure, cargo lashing is also another cause of the imperfect implementation of lashing on the ship. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the main cause of the cargo lashing process is due to lack of training for the lashing gang and the ship's crew themselves as well as the lack and loss of container cargo lashing equipment.

Abstract

Mualim jaga memiliki peran penting dalam mengolah gerak kapal pada saat berlayar untuk menghindari hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan untuk menghindari bahaya-bahaya tubrukan. Perumusan masalah yang diambil penulis dalam skripsi ini adalah pelaksanaan dinas jaga untuk mencegah terjadinya bahaya tubrukan di MV. Dumai Line 8 optimalisasi penggunaan alat-alat navigasi untuk mencegah terjadinya bahaya tubrukan dan upaya yang dilakukan dalam kondisi darurat dinas jaga. Dengan metode penelitian kualitatif yang mengahasilkan data deskriptif, pelaksanaan dinas jaga dapat digambarkan secara jelas dan nyata karena data diperoleh dari interview secara langsung serta ditunjang metode kepustakaan yang memberikan gambaran lebih jelas mengenai gambaran yang lebih jelas mengenai informasi yang disampaikan.

Abstract

Kegagalan start pada main generator kapal merupakan masalah serius yang dapat mengganggu operasi pelayaran dan meningkatkan risiko kecelakaan di laut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis mendalam terhadap faktor-faktor penyebab kegagalan start pada Main Generator di MV Seagreen No. 5, serta untuk memahami dampaknya terhadap fungsi sistem navigasi dan potensi risiko navigasi. Selain itu, kami menyelidiki dampak langsung dari kegagalan start Main Generator terhadap operasi sistem navigasi kapal, seperti gangguan pada radar, GPS, dan peralatan navigasi lainnya, serta potensi risiko navigasi seperti penurunan kemampuan manuver kapal dan peningkatan risiko tabrakan dengan objek lain di laut

Abstract

This study investigates the development of marine engineering literacy focusing on emerging green propulsion technologies including LNG, methanol, ammonia fuel systems, and hybrid electric propulsion. The research examines how marine engineering curricula can effectively integrate alternative fuel technology knowledge while maintaining traditional thermodynamic and mechanical engineering foundations. Through curriculum analysis and competency assessment across maritime academies, the study identifies critical literacy components required for future marine engineers to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot sustainable propulsion systems. The research addresses the urgent need for skilled marine engineers capable of supporting the maritime industry's transition toward IMO 2050 decarbonization targets. Findings offer comprehensive recommendations for updating marine engineering education to encompass green technology literacy.
