Abstract

Edi Sarwono1, Imam Suyanto2, Harun S. Budi3   Abstract: The use of methods of inquiry in improving mathematics learning about shape on Elementary School fifth grade students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of methods of inquiry in mathematics learning especially in the shape of material in elementary school fifth grade. This study uses classroom action research method. Research was conducted in three cycles. Results show, the use of inquiry method can improve learning outcomes of the mathematics abaut a shape.   Keywords: Inquiry Metod, Learning Matematic, a shape.   Abstrak: Pengunaan Metode inkuiri dalam peningkatan pembelajaran matematika tentang bangun ruang pada siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas pengunaan metode inkuiri dalam pembelajaran matematika khususnya pada materi bangun ruang di kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukan, penggunaan metode inkuiri dapat meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran matematika tentang bangun ruang.   Kata Kunci: metode inkuiri, pembelajaran matematika, bangun ruang

Abstract

Harmonics is a phenomenon in electric power systems that causes quality problems where the current or voltage waveforms of the supply will become distorted so that it can cause overheating in each magnetic core in the electrical equipment. This enlargement of the harmonics triggers the enlargement of power losses in the core due to the eddy currents it causes. This will reduce the input energy so that the efficiency of the tool decreases. Harmonic distortion of the sinusoidal waveforms of voltage and current needs to be investigated and these harmonics are generally triggered by nonlinear loads, one of which is LED lamp. LED lamps are one of the nonlinear loads that use rectifier components in them. In this research, we have tested the voltage harmonic content, current harmonic, on 3 brands of LED lamps and used the IEEE 519-2014 standard as a reference in setting the maximum harmonic voltage and current limits. Measurements in this study were carried out using the HIOKI 3197 brand Power Quality Analyzer. From the test results showed that the total harmonic distortion (THD) voltage on various brands of LED lamps did not exceed the IEEE 519-2014 standard limit which is a maximum of 5% because the largest harmonic voltage is 2, 9%. While the total harmonic distortion (THD) of current in various brands of LED lamps has the largest THD value of 170.6%.

Abstract

Light Emitting Diode lamp or LED lamp is one of the energy saving lamps nowadays widely used by consumers. However, LED lamp has contained harmonics caused by the rectifier circuit inside the lamp. Harmonics cause a quality problem in power system. As the harmonics present in current or voltage, the waveforms are distorted. Harmonics can lead to overheating in magnetic core of electrical equipments. In this paper, several tests are carried out to investigate the harmonic content of voltage and currents, and also the level of light intensity of the two brands of LED lamps. Measurements in this study are conducted by using HIOKI Power Quality Analyzer 3197. The test results show that the total harmonic distortion or THD of voltage on various brands of LED lamps did not exceed 5% as in compliance to the limit of IEEE standard 519-1992. The largest harmonic voltage is 2.9%, while maximum harmonic current for tested brands of LED lamp is 170.6%. The use of low pass filter in the form of LC filter was proposed. Based on experimental results, the application of LC filter at input side of LED lamp has successfully reduced THD current in the range of 85%-88%.

Abstract

Pesticide sprayer tools that are widely used by farmers are still using hands or fossil fuel machines, so they are still classified as traditional and ineffective methods. Some of the weaknesses of the traditional method include less practical, fossil fuels that will run out and the impact on the environment. Solar energy from the sun can be a solution to these problems. Solar panels are devices used to convert sunlight into electrical energy. In this study, a monocrystalline 30W solar panel was used as a tool used to capture sunlight. By utilizing solar power as an energy source sprayer and pump so that it can take advantage of the hand pressing the lever and refilling it manually. In addition, preferring solar power over fossil fuel engines can reduce the use of fossil fuels and further strengthen renewable energy that will not run out and is environmentally friendly. In this study, solar panels were installed above the head to maximize the capture of sunlight and also protect the head from the heat of the sun. The results showed that the battery energy required to spray the difference in battery percentage from 10 liters to 6 liters of liquid volume was 4% and from 6 liters to 2 liters of liquid volume was 6%.

Abstract

Alat penyemprot estisida yang banyak digunakan oleh petani masih menggunakan tangan atau pun mesin berbahan bakar fosil, sehingga masih tergolong cara tradisional dan tidak efektif. Beberapa kelemahan dari cara tradisional tersebut diantaranya kurang praktis, bahan bakar fosil yang akan habis dan dampak terhadap lingkungan. Energi surya yang berasal dari matahari dapat menjadi solusi permasalahan tersebut. Panel surya yang merupakan alat yang digunakan untuk mengkonversi sinar matahari menjadi energi listrik. Dengan memanfaatkan tenaga surya sebagai sumber energi sprayer dan pompa sehingga dapat menggantikan tangan yang menekan tuas dan mengisi ulang secara manual. Selain itu dengan lebih memilih tenaga surya dibandingkan mesin bahan bakar fosil dapat mengurangi penggunaan bahan bakar fosil dan lebih memanfatkan energi terbarukan yang tidak akan habis serta ramah lingkungan. Pada penelitian ini panel surya dipasang di atas kepala untuk memaksimalkan penangkapan cahaya matahari dan juga melindungi kepala dari panas sinar matahari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa energi baterai yang dibutuhkan untuk penyemprotan memiliki selisih persentase baterai dari volume cairan 10 liter ke 6 liter adalah 4 persen dan dari volume cairan 6 liter ke 2 liter adalah 6 persen.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tantangan dalam implementasi regulasi pemagangan di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada pemenuhan hak-hak peserta magang. Meskipun regulasi mengenai pemagangan telah diatur dalam berbagai peraturan perundang-undangan, masih terdapat kendala signifikan seperti kurangnya pemahaman mengenai hak dan kewajiban peserta magang, lemahnya pengawasan, serta ketidakpastian terkait besaran uang saku. Selain itu, masih terdapat praktik eksploitasi dalam program pemagangan yang tidak diimbangi dengan perlindungan hukum yang memadai. Pembaharuan dalam sistem regulasi, penguatan pengawasan, serta peningkatan transparansi dan akuntabilitas dalam pelaksanaan pemagangan menjadi langkah penting untuk memastikan perlindungan hak peserta magang dan meningkatkan kualitas program pemagangan di Indonesia.

Abstract

Penerapan teknologi tepat guna merupakan salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan kapasitas produksi pada usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM). Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan teknologi tepat guna berupa alat pemeras ampas singkong terhadap peningkatan kapasitas produksi kue tradisional pada UMKM di Desa Meteseh. Singkong merupakan bahan baku utama dalam pembuatan kue tradisional, namun proses manual dalam pemerasan ampas singkong seringkali memakan waktu dan tenaga, serta menghasilkan jumlah produksi yang terbatas. Dengan menggunakan alat pemeras otomatis, diharapkan proses pemerasan dapat dilakukan lebih cepat dan menghasilkan volume ampas yang lebih optimal, sehingga kapasitas produksi dapat meningkat. Uji performa alat pada kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan membandingkan kapasitas produksi sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan alat pemeras singkong. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan pelaku UMKM, serta pengukuran langsung terhadap waktu dan hasil pemerasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan alat pemeras singkong meningkatkan kapasitas produksi hingga 40% dibandingkan metode manual, sekaligus mengurangi beban tenaga kerja dan waktu pemrosesan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan teknologi tepat guna berupa alat pemeras ampas singkong mampu meningkatkan waktu produksi menjadi 30 menit perproses, dimana proses manual membutuhkan waktu 3-4 jam. Teknologi ini dapat diterapkan secara luas pada industri kecil lainnya untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan keberlanjutan usaha.

Abstract

This study discusses the legal protection and legal certainty provided by the state to internship participants in employment relations in Indonesia. Although internships aim to improve the competence of prospective workers, their practices are misused by companies as a form of disguised employment relations without fulfilling the normative rights of participants. Through a normative legal approach and analysis of applicable laws and regulations, this study highlights the significance of strict regulations, effective supervision by the Manpower Office, and the need for policy reformulation so that the rights and positions of internship participants are truly protected by law.

Abstract

This development research aimed to develop, assess the feasibility, determine student responses, and evaluate the effectiveness of virtual reality-based electrical motor rewinding learning media in enhancing electrical equipment repair competency at Vocational High Schools. Using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate), the study was conducted at State Vocational High Schools 5 Batam, State Vocational High Schools 7 Batam, and S State Vocational High Schools Teladan Batam. The subjects were 11th-grade students specializing in Electrical Power Installation. Data was collected via interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Expert judgment validated the instruments, and Cronbach Alpha confirmed their reliability. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and t-tests. The study yielded Virtual Reality based electrical motor re-winding learning media, a guidebook, and job sheets. Feasibility tests showed "very feasible" ratings from both material experts (93%) and media experts (83%). Student responses in the experimental group were "very good" (87%). The media proved effective in improving competency, with experimental group post-test scores significantly higher than the control group. The media demonstrated a "moderate" effectiveness level with a gain score of 0.47, and a t-test value of 0.000 indicated that Ho was rejected and Ha accepted, confirming its effectiveness in enhancing electrical equipment repair competency.
