Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago country which consist of several large islands and thousands of small islands. According to the latest data, a total of 17.504 islands exist in Indonesian, which 6.000 are inhabited islands. Small islands with an area of ??less than 2.000 m2 do not have sufficient clean water sources or even none at all. Many solutions have been developed regarding the clean water crisis, which one is to provide a distilling seawater into clean water or what the local government calls the desalination system. However, it did not work effectively because the cost of equipments maintenance was quite expensive. In this study, a water transportation for distributing portable desalination machines or systems and other logistical needs between island is designed. Due to the lack of adequate docks and loading facilities on many islands, the researchers took the initiative to design a Hovercraft, an Amphibious Ship to simplify the distribution and loading process on land. The design process is carried out using the sister ship method by considering the size of the object to be distributed so that the length = 13.2 m, Width = 6.7 m, Aluminum material, with a total weight = 19 tons, Speed ??= 50 knots, and the design refers to the Carrier type of Hovercraft. Based on these data, the total lifting capacity is 1909.44 HP and the thrust is 695.61 HP.

Abstract

Mandangin Island is one of the islands in Sampang Regency which has an area of 1650 km 2 with a population of around 3000 people. Most of the people on this island, the majority of whom work as fishermen, generally travel around 12.2 km to Sampang City to buy daily necessities by boarding traditional wooden boats at the Tanglok Sampang port. According to information conveyed by the Head of the Sampang Regency Transportation Service, most or almost all of the passenger ships that dock at Tanglok Port are traditional wooden ships whose actual function is to transport goods, not passengers, which are quite old. The Transportation Department considers the existing ships to be less safe and comfortable and therefore require refreshing. Besides that, wood as the main material in nature is decreasing in quantity so the price is increasingly expensive. The method implemented in this community service is to carry out a fiber glass boat operational training program for traditional boat operators. With this activity, it is hoped that the continued use of fiber glass boats can begin to be used and reduce the use of wooden boats which are relatively more expensive.

Abstract

Sampang Regency has tourism potential, one of which is the Klampis Reservoir in Kedundung Village. Reservoir with an area of approximately 1 hectare is a catchment area that has not been properly optimized by the community. This condition is exacerbated by the presence of wild plants that disturb the view. So that this research provides an innovation in the form of a source boad suggestion. To support the facilities, an analysis of the factors of tourist interest in visiting is carried out in order to synchronize the needs of the community with the invasion given. The method used is SPSS to improve quality and improve the quality of a variable. This method uses analysis of questionnaire data. This study uses 30 questionnaire samples to strengthen the results of the analysis. The purpose of this study is to find out the factors that most influence the sustainability of the tourist village area through the means of bounty boad. The results of the research on factors that can influence are the availability of facilities and infrastructure with an average total value of 500.

Abstract

Minimizing ship noise and vibrations is crucial due to  potentially severe consequences, such as communication problems, sleep disturbances, stress, and structural damage. To address this, effective dampers are necessary. Many soundproofing materials now utilize natural fiber waste to replace synthetic materials, which are harmful to environment. One underutilized natural fiber is tofu dregs, which contain fibers suitable for sound absorption. This study investigates using tofu dregs as a composite material in sound-dampening applications. Composites are materials engineered from two or more substances with different properties to create a heterogeneous mixture. In this research, sound-dampening composites were developed using tofu dregs combined with carbon black and talc duco. The study found that the composite containing 60 grams of tofu dregs, 60 grams of talc duco, and 50 grams of resin achieved a sound absorption coefficient of α = 0.19. Meanwhile, the composite with 60 grams of tofu dregs, 50 grams of carbon black, and 50 grams of resin achieved a higher sound absorption coefficient of α = 0.24. These results indicate that the tofu dregs and carbon black composite offer superior sound absorption compared to tofu dregs and talc duco composite, demonstrating potential of tofu dregs as an eco-friendly soundproofing material.
