Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas tentang pengaruh model cooperative  integrated reading (CIR) terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa kelas VIII SMP N 1 Bumi Agung . Alasan penelitian untuk melanjutkan studi didasarkan pada kenyataan bahwa, selama praktik mengajar peneliti, ditemukan bahwa kemampuan membaca siswa rendah. Peneliti berkomitmen untuk menangani masalah siswa.  Masalah dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki pengaruh model membaca terintegrasi kooperatif pada keterampilan membaca. Penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan  kuesioner dan tes serta momen r-produk dan Kr21 digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh model cooperative  integrated reading pada keterampilan membaca. Oleh karena itu, hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima sementara hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak. Kesimpulannya menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh model membaca kooperatif terhadap keterampilan membaca.Kata kunci: efek, cooperative  integrated reading (CIR), membaca ABSTRACTThis research  discusses about the influence of the cooperative integrated reading (CIR) model on the reading ability of eighth grade students of SMP N 1 Bumi Agung. The research reason for continuing study was based on the fact that, during the researchers 'teaching practice, it was found that students' reading ability was low. Researchers are committed to dealing with students' problems. The problem of this research is to investigate the effect of cooperative integrated reading models on reading skills. This research is quantitative. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire and tests as well as the r-product moment and Kr21 was used to analyze the data. The findings show that there is an influence of the cooperative integrated reading model on reading skills. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted while the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Abstract

Abstract— Language has a central role in intellectual, social, and emotional development. Today, people are very easily ignited, angry, brutal, abusive, and vulgar without being able to control their lusts, such as demonstrators' rude behavior in demonstrations that are often aired on television. The value of local wisdom that polite, friendly, respectful, wise, and religious as if more and more eroded. As a civilized and dignified nation, such a situation is clearly unfavorable to the future of the nation, especially in the birth of future generations of the nation. Therefore, it takes education oriented to the character of the nation, which is not just pursuing the interests of thought, memorization, and logic but also need to pay attention and integrate moral issues and nobility character. Through language education and literature is expected to play a dignified nation character building as well as develop the potential of learners to be a figure of human Indonesia who believe and piety to God Almighty, morals, healthy, knowledgeable, intelligent, creative, and independent. Proverbs are (1) proverbs / groups of words or sentences that remain in their order, usually to define a particular purpose; (2) compact phrases, expressions, comparisons, parables, counsel, principles of life, or rules of conduct. Conservation of proverbs as a supporter of local wisdom and character education needs to be done. Conserving proverbs means preserving and protecting local proverbs and wisdom. Proverbs need to be conserved in various ways. Conservation of proverbs is useful as a supporter of local wisdom and character education. Character is a series of individual psychological traits that affect personal ability and tendency to function morally.   Keywords— Value of proverb wisdom, local wisdom, morals.  Abstrak— Bahasa memiliki peran sentral dalam perkembangan intelektual, sosial, dan emosional. Dewasa ini, masyarakat sangat mudah tersulut emosinya, pemarah, brutal, kasar, dan vulgar tanpa mampu mengendalikan hawa nafsunya, seperti perilaku para demonstran yang berkata kasar dalam berunjuk rasa yang seringkali ditayangkan di televisi. Nilai kearifan lokal yang santun, ramah, saling menghormati, arif, dan religius seakan semakin terkikis.  Sebagai bangsa yang beradab dan bermartabat, situasi yang demikian itu jelas tidak menguntungkan bagi masa depan bangsa, khususnya dalam melahirkan generasi masa depan bangsa. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan pendidikan yang berorientasi pada karakter bangsa, yang tidak sekadar memburu kepentingan pikir, menghafal, dan logika tetapi juga perlu memperhatikan dan mengintegrasi persoalan moral dan keluhuran budi pekerti. Melalui pendidikan bahasa dan sastralah diharapkan dapat berperan membangun karakter bangsa yang bermartabat sekaligus mengembangkan potensi peserta didik agar menjadi sosok manusia Indonesia yang beriman dan bertakwa kepada Tuhan yang Maha Esa, berakhlak mulia, sehat, berilmu, cerdas, kreatif, dan mandiri. Proverb  adalah (1) peribahasa/ kelompok kata atau kalimat yang tetap susunannya, biasanya mengiaskan maksud tertentu; (2) ungkapan atau kalimat ringkas, padat, berisi perbandingan, perumpamaan, nasihat, prinsip hidup, atau aturan tingkah laku. Konservasi peribahasa sebagai pendukung kearifan  lokal  dan  pendidikan  karakter  perlu  dilakukan.  Mengonservasi  peribahasa  berarti mengawetkan  dan  melindungi  peribahasa  dan  kearifan  lokal.Peribahasa  perlu  dikonservasi melalui berbagai cara. Konservasi peribahasa berguna sebagai pendukung kearifan lokal dan pendidikan  karakter.  Karakter  merupakan  serangkaian  ciri-ciri  psikologis  individu  yang mempengaruhi  kemampuan  pribadi  dan  kecenderungannya  berfungsi  secara  moral.   Kata Kunci— Nilai kearifan proverb, kearifan lokal, moral.

Abstract

Research on "Is there any influence of the Take and Give learning model on student learning outcomes in English subjects in class VI SD IT Qurrota'ayun belitang OKUT"? and The purpose of this study is to: find out whether there is an effect of "Take and Give learning model on student learning outcomes in English learning of students grade VI SD IT Qurrota'ayun belitang OKUT?". The method used in this research is the experimental method. Data collection techniques are through documentation, test techniques, instrument testing techniques and data analysis techniques. Data were analyzed using Data Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, Hypothesis Test. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that: (1) After analyzing the form of tests, it is known that the Take and Give learning model has a significant influence on the learning outcomes of English class VI SD IT Qurrota'ayun belitang OKUT. Based on the analysis of the data that has been done, the average student learning outcomes obtained in the experimental class are higher than students in the control class who are not treated. (2) Success in the learning process by applying the Take and Give learning model is very influential, because this learning model emphasizes the activeness of students to work together and speed and accuracy in learning activities so that learning outcomes increase.Keywords: Effect of Take and Give learning models, Student Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

Pulau Panggung Village, Semende Darat Laut Subdistrict, which is located in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province, the majority of people are Muslim and still highly respect the customs of their village In general, people still depend on their livelihoods from agricultural products, gardens, rice fields and casual laborers. There are still many people who find it difficult to work meet daily needs and finance education for children. Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit all capital cities and regions In Indonesia, the learning system began to change into an online or virtual system and all gradually use sophisticated tools such as cellphones, laptops and mobile phones there are many more, not to mention the use of quota packages to open internet and device applications on android so that many parents feel difficult to meet their child's learning needs. Now people really hope that there will be input assistance to increase knowledge in order to eradicate poverty and be able to generate new business as their side income.

Abstract

This research study aims to investigate the strategies employed by English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners to overcome speaking anxiety in the classroom. Speaking anxiety is a significant challenge faced by EFL learners, hindering their development of fluency and confidence in speaking. However, there is limited understanding of the specific strategies used by EFL learners to cope with and overcome this anxiety in the classroom context. This study adopts a qualitative research design, utilizing interviews and observations to gather in-depth data from EFL learners. The findings reveal a range of strategies employed by participants, including cognitive strategies (positive self-talk, visualization, and reframing anxious thoughts), preparation and practice, a supportive learning environment, gradual exposure and desensitization, and emotional regulation techniques. These strategies contribute to the effective management of speaking anxiety and the promotion of speaking proficiency among EFL learners. The insights from this study provide valuable implications for educators and practitioners, enabling the development of targeted interventions and instructional approaches to support EFL learners in managing their anxiety and enhancing their speaking skills. By addressing speaking anxiety effectively, language teaching and learning practices in the EFL context can be improved, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for EFL learners to develop their speaking abilities with confidence.

Abstract

Abstract: In Indonesian educational system, English is one of the compulsory subjects instructed at school. The student learn English for the first time formally when they are still in the kindergarten up to the university as a foreign language, the students finds the difficulties to learn the four skills of English which are listening, speaking, reading and writing, and English also have some aspects in learning such as: structure, vocabulary, and also grammar.The problem of this study was “Is it effective to use oblique technique to the eleventh grade students of SMA NURUL AMAL Palembang”. The objective of this study was to find out whether or not it is effective to use Oblique Technique to the eleventh grade students SMA NURUL AMAL Palembang. The writer used pre-experimental method. The populations of this study were all the eleventh grade students of SMA NURUL AMAL Palembang in academic year 2011-2012. The sample of this study was 42 students, taken by using cluster random sampling method. The written tests were used to collect the data. The data were analyzed through matched t-test.

Abstract

The aims of this research was to determine students' perceptions of the effectiveness of learning reading by using electronic books (E-books). The formulation of the problem in this research is focused on what is the students' perception about the effectiveness learning reading by using electronic books (E-books). This research used descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected by triangulation, namely observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The results of the data showed that students' perceptions about the effectiveness of learning reading by using electronic books (E-books) provide a good perception. Electronic books (E-books) are good learning media to be applied to students to help students learn to be more independent.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the effects and advantages experienced by teachers and students when utilizing interactive animation. The research problem in this study focused on the perceptions of teachers and students regarding the impact of interactive animation on enhancing students' abilities as well as the benefits associated with its use. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method, and data was gathered through triangulation using questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The data analysis revealed that animated videos facilitated easier comprehension of narrative texts for students. The videos effectively portrayed moving objects accompanied by sound, captivating students' attention and fostering their enthusiasm during the learning process. The students demonstrated active engagement and attentiveness to the storyline. Utilizing animated videos as a teaching tool for narrative texts was found to be an effective approach. Finally, it is essential for teachers to address the basic English skills of their students as they navigate the challenges associated with this teaching method.

This study examined the implementation and effectiveness of the Dictation Method in enhancing English writing achievement among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 31 Palembang. The research addressed two main questions: first, how students respond to the Dictation Method in their English learning; and second, how teachers implemented this method in classroom practice. Data were collected through surveys administered to 132 students across four classes, employing Likert scale analysis to gauge student perceptions.
