Abstract

Increased economic activity accompanied with environmental pollution. The objective of the study was to analyze the effect of per capita GDP on CO2 emissions and to prove the hypothesis of the Kuznets environment curve. Method for analyzing data by using multiple linear regression with quadratic equation. The results show that GDP per capita has a positive and significant influence on CO2 emissions, as well as the square GDP per capita has a negative and significant influence on CO2 emissions, so the Kuznets Environment Curves hypothesis can be proven.

Abstract

Arise among scholars about whether the pros and cons of fiscal decentralization to reduce corruption or whether it exacerbates corruption. Facts in Indonesia show that the fiscal decentralization or regional autonomy would exacerbate corruption because there is no public control, there is no state institution that is able to effectively control the local government, and the failure of legislative control functions in the local area. It is necessary to revise Law No. 32 of 2004, the  stablishment of the KPK in the local or district area, and reversed burden of proof application.

Testing the elasticity of Tax Elasticity Analysis by Billboard, Advertisement Tax Effectiveness with the analysis of the effectiveness, the proportion of Tax Analysis with Billboard proportions, and for testing the correlation of Advertisement Tax through a t-test.Test results simultaneously indicates that GDP, the number of industry and population simultaneously affect tax revenue Billboard in the city of Semarang. Regression analysis showed that the population of tax effect on Billboard, while other free variables such as number of industry and GDP per capita has no effect and is not significant to the growth of Tax Billboard in the city of Semarang and the results of other analyses such as Elasticity, the effectiveness, the proportion and the correlation of the Advertisement Tax has very close relationship on a PAD, so that if a Billboard Tax rises then the PAD also rose, by contrast Tax Billboard down then the PAD will also go down.

Abstract

This study aim to analyze  factors which having an effect to open-unemployment level in Central Java Province at 1990 to 2011. Ordinary least squares (OLS) will be used as regression model with the dependent variable, open-unemployment level and four independent variables, that are domestic regional gross product, inflation, province minimum wage, and the number of alphabetist. The result show that province minimum wage and the number of alphabetist influential manifestly and significantly to the open-unemployment level. In future, province minimum wage policy need a depth monitoring, so as to persistent over the market equilibrium and the labor welfare guaranteed. The value of province minimum wage which came near 100% indicate the high education quality of society in that region. This case need a special attention from government to create job demand in formal sector to anticipate the castaway potential resource which is the one of development support. Key Words: Open-Unemployment Level, Domestic Regional Gross Product, Inflation, Province Minimum Wage, Number of Alphabetist, Time Series

Abstract

This study has three aims.  The first aim is to determine variations in the performance  of child welfare by the provincial government to give attention to the rights of children by using PPGs (Province Performance Gaps).  The second aim is to determine variations in child welfare in each province according to the dimensions of health, education, and protection.  The third, to determine the income distribution, female literacy rates, and government expenditure on education and health sectors for the child welfare.  The first step on calculate PPGs is derived the expected values for each of the eighteen child-welfare variables using OLS regression analysis.  The second step, WINOCENT provides a convenient measure of a multidimensional phenomenon, in this case children’s welfare. The last aim, this study  identify income distribution, female literacy rates, and government expenditure on education and health sectors  to test for their salience in determining provincial variations in child welfare that were proxied by WINOCENT using OLS regression analysis.  The results of the analysis showed, that only the female  literacy rate in accordance the  theory, this has positive impact and statistically significant on the child welfare.

Abstract

High population growth could be a serious barrier to regional economic development. In general, if productivity in each sector of the economy is very low, there will be a high unemployment level in that society. The purpose of this study is to analyze the partial and simultaneous influences of population, labor, unemployment, and poverty on economic growth. The type of data used is panel statistic data from 11 regencies and municipality in Sulawesi Tengah province of Indonesia during the 2011-2019 period with 99 observations. The regression model with fixed effect approach was used to analyze the data panel. The results reveal that labor and unemployment do not significantly affect economic growth, whereas population and poverty significantly affect economic growth in positive and negative ways, respectively. The partial results of the test imply that the increase in population must be coherently supported by the specialization of the workforce through an increase in the length of school each individual. These implications can be realized through the construction of educational infrastructure. Poverty reduction can be implemented through the improvement of the education level of the people. It is expected that good education will generate more new experts to increase industrial productivity, which in turn will increase the output
