Abstract

Laundry business is a business that is engaged in laundry services. In the midst of busy activities, laundry is an alternative to washing clothes which is currently being used by many people, especially by urban residents. With so many customers' interest in utilizing the laundry business, laundry business actors have expanded their business by providing kilo washing and dry cleaning services. Utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is currently growing rapidly so that many business sectors of the community need it to facilitate the operation of their activities, one of which is the laundry business. The Community Service Implementation Team of Universitas Indraprasta PGRI offers an information system based on Rapid Application Development (RAD) that can be used by Beladies Laundry Kiloan business actors to make it easier for business actors and their employees to record transactions so as to minimize data loss that can cause losses. So, there is a need for training in the use of the information system offered so that Beladies Laundry Kiloan employees can optimize the use of the information system.

Abstract

Logical Fallacies are the flaws that occur within an argument. Logical fallacies on hortatory exposition text happen because it involves invalid argument as the main point of this text. This research aims to discover types of logical fallacies that mostly found in hortatory exposition text written by the students of SMA N 54 Jakarta. This research took the logical fallacies from 80 texts written by the eleventh graders. Those logical fallacies were then classified into the classification of logical fallacies by Seyler. The result obtained were described using qualitative method with descriptive analysis as the main tool in interpreting the data. The result of this research discovered that begging the question is the type of logical fallacies that mostly found in the text of hortatory exposition of SMA N 54 Jakarta students.

Abstract

Pengajaran dan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris telah berubah dari metode konvensional di mana siswa dapat berada dalam kondisi pembelajaran tatap muka dengan guru dan teman-temannya, kini menjadi modern dengan bantuan teknologi yang melibatkan berbagai platform seperti Quizizz yang dapat di akses secara gratis dan mudah digunakan. Media Quizizz sudah sering digunakan pengajar dalam proses pembelajaran maupun penilaian secara daring.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pandangan mahasiswa Teknik Informatika terhadap penggunaan Quizizz sebagai media pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Desain penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menjabarkan data yang diperoleh, metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioneryan memanfaatkan google form. Selain itu, dilakukan wawancara kepada beberapa responden mahasiswa untuk mendapatkan analisis data yang lebih komprehensif untuk memperkuat hasil kesimpulan kuesioner. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Quizizz diterima secara positif di kalangan mahasiswa karena efektivitas, kelayakan, dan kemudahan penggunaan, serta dapat meningkatkan motivasi mereka. Maka, penggunaan Quizizz dapat menjadi salah satu media pembelajaran dan penilaian pembelajaran bahasa inggris pada tingkat universitas

Abstract

The implementation of education from the Early Childhood to Higher Education levels, has undergone online learning for the past 2 years since the Covid 19 Pandemic. With the increasing percentage of complete vaccine recipients, it opens up hope for schools, students, and parents to return to face-to-face schooling. The purpose of this study was to see the readiness of elementary school students to participate in Face-to-Face Learning (PTM) during the Covid 19 pandemic which was seen from two aspects, students' understanding of health protocols and student motivation. The survey was conducted on 30 elementary school students in 2022 where face-to-face learning began to be re-enforced, then the analysis was carried out qualitatively by describing the results of the survey and interviews. From the survey results it appears that elementary school students are ready to take part in Limited Face-to-Face Learning in terms of their understanding of health protocols and learning motivation. This research is expected to be a reference in preparing Face-to-Face Learning during the current Pandemic.

Abstract

Banyaknya kasus kekerasan seksual tidak hanya mengancam para remaja namun juga anak-anak. Semakin bertambahnya kasus kekerasan seksual terhadap anak sangat meresahkan masyarakat. Masyarakat menjadi resah dan khawatir akan keamanan yang ada di lingkungan sekitar anak-anak mereka. Lingkungan keluarga dan sekolah merupakan tempat yang esensial untuk pencegahan kekerasan seksual. Namun pemahaman mengenai seksualitas pada siswa sekolah dasar masih sangat minim sehingga para guru kesulitan dalam penyampaian informasi tentang pendidikan seksual pada anak. Dengan permasalahan di atas maka diadakannya pengabdian masyarakat dengan judul “Pemanfaatan video animasi bagi para Guru SD IT As Shof Depok untuk memberi pendidikan seks pada anak SD”. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan guru SD tentang pendidikan seks pada anak. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pretest, pemaparan materi, post test dan evaluasi kegiatan. Berdasarkan hasil pre test dan post test menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan terhadap pengetahuan para guru sebelum dan sesudah sosialisasi tentang Pendidikan seksual pada anak. Selain itu pemaparan materi dengan menggunakan media video animasi dianggap lebih menarik dan lebih mempermudah pemahaman para guru SD. Untuk kedepannya video animasi tentang pendidikan seksual pada anak ini akan digunakan oleh para guru SD IT As Shof untuk melakukan sosialisasi kepada para orang tua/wali murid sebagai bentuk kerjasama antara sekolah dan lingkungan rumah.

Abstract

This research aims at showing morphological and syntactical errors in English Department students’ essays. Besides, this research also focuses on seeking factors affecting the errors, which include interlanguage error and intralanguage error. The data of this research were 30 English essays written by English Department students in Jakarta. The data was analyzed using error analysis to describe syntactical and morphological errors found in students’ essays and the factors affecting the errors. The results show that the most dominant errors were inflectional errors (120 or 66%) in morphological level and tenses errors (52 or 41%) at the syntactical level. The analysis also revealed that there were 93 or 79% intralanguage errors in morphological level and 102 or 81% intralanguage errors in the syntactical level. These findings imply that the teacher of English as a foreign language (EFL) should be aware of errors made by the students and the cause of errors in writing.Keywords: writing; EFL; morphology; syntax; error analysis.

Abstract

The importance of vocabulary is expected to be a provision for individuals in developing the ability to communicate and socialize in a global society. The first step A new language is absorbed, indeed, by enriching vocabularies of the new language before finally learning the rules and the context. The introduction of vocabulary can be started with simple vocabulary until, it forms a sentence or paragraph. One of the efforts to enrich vocabularies is through interactive learning, one of which is the use of Wordwall web applications. Wordwall is a web-based application that can be used as learning media such as interactive quizzes, pairings, random words, and anagrams. From the field observations, it appeared that the interest in learning English by students of Informatics study program is very high, but they have difficulty expressing their thoughts in English due to the lack of vocabulary. Regarding this, research was designed in the form of a class action research. The research was conducted in three cycles in which the first cycle was before using Wordwall and another two cycles were conducted after using Wordwall. Each cycle provided data in a form of students’ scores.  The results of this study revealed an increase in vocabulary understanding after conducting learning and tests using the Wordwall Web Application.

Abstract

Kemajuan di bidang teknologi informasi komunikasi menuntut guru tidak hanya untuk  dapat  menggunakan  perangkat  pembelajaran  berbasis Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK),  tetapi  lebih  dari  itu melalui  penguasaan  software  tertentu  diharapkan  pula  guru  dapat  membuat  media pembelajaran  yang  bersifat  interaktif,  agar  dapat  digunakan  untuk mengeksplor pengetahuan itu sendiri. Tidak semua guru di sekolah telah memanfaatkan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) secara maksimal, di mana sebagian besar guru hanya menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis TIK kurang dari empat kali dalam satu bulan dan belum sepenuhnya menguasai perangkat lunak presentasi. Meskipun demikian, TIK memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi dalam proses pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pelatihan yang dapat memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada guru tentang cara menggunakan TIK dalam pengajaran. Sasaran  dari  kegiatan  ini  yaitu  guru-guru SMK Mutiara yang terletak di Tapos, Depok. Setelah melakukan sosialisasi dan pelatihan dari pemanfaatan Microsoft Office untuk media pembelajaran, kegiatan  ini  membangun  dan  meningkatkan  media pembelajaran  dalam  penggunaan  aplikasi  Microsoft  Office  yang  nantinya  membantu para guru merancang media pembelajran serta siswa-siswa dalam pengerjaan tugas.
