Abstract

This study aims to increase interest in learning mathematics using a realistic mathematics approach on grade V SDN Pondok Jaya 3 Tangerang Selatan. This type of research is a collaborative classroom action research. The results showed that the realistic mathematical approach can increase interest in learning mathematics in grade V SDN Pondok Jaya 3 Tangerang Selatan. Increased interest has met the criteria indicated by the score of questionnaire interest in student learning has increased from before the action of 49% with low category, the first cycle of 58% with the category of moderate and on the second cycle of 85% with high category.

Abstract

This research is determine the increase in students' concentration in study mathematics at SDN Wanasari 01. The subjects in this study were 36 elementary school students. This research method is classroom action research which consists of four components, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the study, that in cycle 1 the process of learning mathematics was said to be not good enough, because most students still lacked concentration on learning. In addition, the teacher's use of the picture and picture model has not been fully implemented at every meeting. Meanwhile, in cycle 2, students' concentration in mathematics has increased.

Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate the influence of the Let’s Read and Kipin School 4.0 applications on the reading interest of fourth-grade students at Insan Madani Integrated Islamic Elementary School during the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. This research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design, utilizing a pretest posttest control group design. There are three groups: experiment group 1 (Let’s Read), experiment group 2 (Kipin School 4.0), and a control group (using only reading books). The sample was taken through simple random sampling, and the instrument used was a questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using t-tests after performing normality and homogeneity tests. The results show that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, indicating a significant influence of the applications on reading interest. The average posttest score for experiment group 1 is 74.30, for experiment group 2 is 70.67, and for the control group is 61.24. With a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, there is a significant difference between the average scores of the experimental and control groups. The conclusion of this study indicates a positive effect of the Let’s Read and Kipin School 4.0 applications on students' reading interest compared to traditional methods.

Abstract

Improving students' mathematics learning outcomes requires the application of learning models that make students active, innovative, and creative, as well as effective and enjoyable, one of which is the PAIKEM model (Active, Innovative, Creative, Effective, and Enjoyable Learning). This classroom action research aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes through the application of the PAIKEM model. This research was conducted in an elementary school in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The research design followed the Kemmis and Taggart model, which consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection in two cycles. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, tests, and documentation, with the research subjects being fifth-grade students. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the PAIKEM model succeeded in significantly improving students' mathematics learning outcomes. This was indicated by an increase in classical learning completeness from 85% in Cycle I to 100% in Cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the PAIKEM model is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes in elementary schools.
