Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan kualitas hadis-hadis Nabi yang matannya oleh sebagian orang Islam di Indonesia dan berbagai belahan dunia lain cenderung dipahami mengandung ajaran intoleransi antar umat beragama. Serta memaparkan pemaknaan hadis-hadis tersebut melalui penerapan metode pemahaman hadisyang digagas oleh Ali Mustafa Yaqub. Penelitian studi kepustakaan dengan metodi analisis konten dan deskriptif analisis dan dipadu dengan pendekatan takhrij hadis, penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan-temuan sebagai berikut: Pertama bahwa kualitas hadis intoleransi pada bagian klausa pertama adalah ḥasan lighairih, sedangkan pada bagian klausa kedua berkualitas ḍa’īf. Adapun penerapan metode Ali Mustafa Yaqub dalam memahami hadis intoleransi antar umat beragama bahwa secara historis hadis tersebut muncul pada saat abi dan umat Islam hendak mengepung Yahudi Bani Quraiẓah atas pengkhianatan mereka terhadap kesepakatan perjanjian damai. Maka jelas, kontek hadis teresebut adalah dalam kondisi perang. Dengan demikian, hadis tersebut tidak dapat diamalkan pada saat kondisi damai.

Abstract

According to experts, a hadith is a saying or action of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. In fact, the meaning of Hadith is conveying something, namely news from one person to another. Writing this journal uses a qualitative method with a library research method by looking for sources from journals, papers and books. Hadith is the second source of law after the Qur'an and Hadith is a complement to the Qur'an, the function of hadith is as a correct interpretation in the application of Islamic law. Hadith is the first reference or main source of law in Islam. Hadith also provides a view of human life.

Abstract

This article examines the position of Shaykh Nawawi al-Bantani in the tradition of hadith studies in the Nusantara by focusing on his biography, educational background, works on hadith, and his role in the development of Islamic scholarship. This study employs a qualitative approach through library research, utilizing the works of Shaykh Nawawi al-Bantani and other relevant scholarly sources. From a biographical perspective, Shaykh Nawawi al-Bantani is recognized as a Nusantara scholar who played a significant role within the Islamic intellectual networks of the nineteenth century. His educational experience in pesantren and in the scholarly circles of Mecca provided a strong foundation for shaping his understanding of hadith. His works demonstrate a consistent use of hadith in discussions of jurisprudence and ethics, following the classical scholarly tradition. Through these writings, his ideas were widely disseminated and became important references in pesantren education. His contribution to hadith studies is evident not only in his scholarly productivity but also in his influence on the formation of hadith teaching traditions in the Nusantara. Therefore, Shaykh Nawawi al-Bantani can be regarded as one of the key figures in the historical development of hadith studies in Indonesia.

Abstract

Kajian hadis di Indonesia mengalami perkembangan yang signifikan melalui kontribusi para sarjana kontemporer, salah satunya M. Syuhudi Ismail. Ia berupaya menjembatani metodologi hadis klasik dengan perspektif analisis modern, sehingga melahirkan pendekatan yang kritis dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada studi kepustakaan terhadap karya-karya utama Syuhudi, seperti Hadis Nabi Menurut Pembela, Pengingkar, dan Pemalsunya dan Kaidah Kesahihan Sanad Hadis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Syuhudi menekankan pentingnya keseimbangan proporsional antara kritik sanad dan kritik matan, menolak pengabaian hadis secara total, serta mendorong penafsiran rasional yang tetap relevan dengan realitas kontemporer. Kontribusi intelektualnya berperan besar dalam membentuk perkembangan studi hadis di Indonesia, meskipun gagasan-gagasannya belum sepenuhnya diterima di kalangan pesantren tradisional.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the innovative contributions of the Central Hadith Study Institution (PKH) in strengthening the quality of Hadith studies within the context of State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN). The research employed a qualitative method using a descriptive-analytical library research approach. Data were collected through a systematic review of relevant literature and documents related to Hadith studies in PTKIN. The findings indicate that PKH plays a significant role in developing the ecosystem of Hadith studies in PTKIN through methodological innovations in Hadith scholarship.
