Abstract

ABSTRACT Unavailability of clean water in accordance with water quality standards and the lack of knowledge of local Keramasan village communities to manage water that is safe, it is necessary to do a workshop / training design and processing of drinking water. The workshop aims to open insight, improve the knowledge and skills of the community in drinking water treatment training for the residents of Keramasan Kertapati. The service method is carried out by conducting training on the design of water filter devices, which are then channeled to ultra violet sterilizers to kill or kill pathogenic microorganisms in water so that the water can be drunk directly. The results of this service are expected to help the community to get water that is suitable for consumption independently and to provide understanding and improvement in the quality of health for the community

Abstract

Production reliability plays an important role in maintaining operational efficiency and product quality in manufacturing industries, particularly in injection molding machine systems. However, machine failures often cause downtime, defective products, and increased maintenance costs. This study aims to analyze failure modes in injection molding machines using the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method to improve production reliability at the South Sumatra Palm Oil Processing Industry. The research employed a quantitative descriptive-analytical approach, using observations, interviews, documentation, and maintenance records collected during August 2025. The analysis focused on critical machine components, including the mold, heater band, cutting system, hydraulic pump, and thermocouple. The results showed that the mold failure coded M1 had the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN) of 140, followed by the cutting failure C1 with 120 and the mold closing failure M2 with 108. Pareto analysis indicated that approximately 60% of operational disruptions were caused by four dominant failures. The proposed preventive maintenance and inspection strategies are expected to significantly reduce operational disruptions and improve production reliability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of understanding, motivational factors, perceived impacts, and barrier factors related to halal certification adoption among pempek business actors in Palembang City using a statistical descriptive of 97 respondents. The analysis included validity and reliability testing using IBM SPSS Statistics v.26, followed by descriptive statistical analysis. The results indicate that respondents demonstrate a high level of understanding of halal certification, particularly regarding its conceptual meaning and business benefits. Motivation to obtain certification is primarily driven by the intention to enhance Muslim consumer trust and strengthen market credibility rather than by external incentives. The perceived impacts of halal certification are largely associated with increased consumer trust, improved product quality, and expansion of customer base, while financial gains are viewed as secondary outcomes. Although overall barriers are categorized as moderate, certification costs and administrative complexity remain the most significant constraints, especially for micro-scale enterprises. The findings suggest that halal certification functions as a credibility-based competitive strategy supported by strong normative awareness, yet constrained by structural and institutional challenges. Strengthening procedural simplification and institutional support mechanisms is essential to enhance sustainable halal certification adoption among micro and small food enterprises.
