Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan hasil dari program pengabdian pada masyarakat di wilayah Madiundengan subjek penelitian tanaman obat keluarga (TOGA) untuk dijadikan ramuan herbal.Pelaksanaan program IPTEK bagi Masyarakat (IbM) ini bertujuan untuk: (1) memberipelatihan tentang cara pengelolaan produksi ramuan herbal yang lebih higienis danmenarik dengan teknik CPOTB; (2) memberi pelatihan penggunaan teknologi tepat gunaimpulse sealer dalam pengemasan produk; dan (3) memberi pelatihan manajemen usaharamuan herbal.Program ini dilaksanakan dengan sasaran ibu-ibu PKK di wilayah RT58 danRT59 RW 14 Kelurahan Mojorejo,Kecamatan Taman, Kota Madiun.Program ini sudahberjalan sesuai dengan rencana (70%) mulai dari proses observasi, sosialisasi, pelatihandan pendampingan secara terus menerus. Beberapa produk telah dihasilkan dari programini. Namun demikianh hasilnya masih belum sempurna karena terkendala oleh waktu danperlengkapan yang belum didapatkan.Katakunci: CPOTB, TOGA, ramuan herbal

Abstract

Arthur’s unresolved problems and many lies make Arthur a psychopathic figure. The purpose of this article is to describe how the main character turns his crying into laughing for expressing madness in Joker movie. The theory used by the researcher in this article is the psychoanalysis theory of Sigmund Freud (1856-1939). The method used is qualitative research with data collection techniques using documentation techniques, then the data is analyzed using 6 steps with Creswell's theory (2009). The result is found that the deeds performed by the main character in the Joker, Arthur Fleck, lead to a defense mechanism, namely Displacement. It reveals the form of causes in traumatic experience in his childhood physically and socially. The trauma lets him respond any triggers by laughing as he kills people, and the symptom shows the reaction of murdering is his own tortured experience imitation to others.

Abstract

The aim of this research focuses on typesof code mixing that used by Carla Yules on YouTube Podcast. The method of this research used qualitative research. The data of this research were taken from Carla Yules Video YouTube Podcast. The researcher used documentation techniques to obtain data. The researcher in analyzing data using “Flow Model” theory of Miles and Huberman. The result of this research, the researcher used Muysken’s theory. The researcher found out three types that appeared in Carla Yules YouTube Podcast. There are Insertion, Alternation, Congruent lexicalization. Insertion has the highest percentage.Congruent lexicalizationhas the lowest percentage.

Abstract

The development of technology nowadays makes most of people have Youtube account including beauty vloggers. They often share the information about make-up products that they use in their captions. Sometimes, they mix some languages in their captions, for example from Indonesian to English. Therefore, the focus of this research is to analyze the use of Indonesian-English code mixing done by Lifni Sanders. In this research, the researcher tried to answer 2 research questions. First, the researcher found out the types of code mixing found in the data of the research. Second, the researcher analyzed the context of code mixing which appear on Lifni Sanders Beauty Campaign in The Female DailyNetwork Video YouTube Channel.In order to answer the first research questions, the researcher applied the theories proposed by Hoffman (1991). In the second questions, the researcher applied the theories proposed by Holmes (1992).Furthermore, in this research the main sources of the data were Lifni Sanders Beauty Campaign in the FemaleDailyNetwork Video Youtube Channel.The researcher applied purposive sampling strategy in order to collect the data. Based on the analysis, there were 183 cases of code mixing. The researcher concluded that there were 149 cases of intra-sentential code mixing and 15 cases of intra-lexical by the addition of Indonesian affixes {-nya}, {di-}, and{se-}. Besides, there were 19 cases of involvement in a change of pronunciation. The researcher found that there were 8 data included in the participant of interaction, 3 data included in the setting of interaction, 11 data on the topic of interaction, and finally 3 data included in the purpose of interaction.

Abstract

Code-mixing is the simultaneous use of statements or utterances in two different languages; the switch from one language to the other happens within a single sentence. There are three types of code mixing and seven reasons for code mixing. This is about phenomena code mixing that occurs in Indonesia Next Top Model. The objectives of this study are to categorize different types of code mixing and to explain why judges in Indonesia Next Top Model employ code mixing. This study used qualitative descriptive analysis as its research approach. The four judges of Indonesia Next Top Model are the subject of this study. The findings of this study are: The research's most prevalent code-mixing is 31 items of congruent lexicalization, with a percentage of 47,69, and the study's least dominant code-mixing is 16 items of insertion, with a percentage of 24,62. Then the reason of code mixing the most dominant reason is talking about a particular topic, the researcher finds 36 data used this reason and the lowest reason is interjection (insert sentence fillers or sentence connector) in this research 1 data is used this reason.

Abstract

Penguatan literasi bahasa Inggris sangat penting bagi siswa sekolah dasar untuk membentuk sumber daya yang berkualitas dalam membangun bangsa. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa Sekolah Dasar di kota Madiun sebagai upaya mendukung kota Madiun menjadi Smart City. Kegiatan abdimas ini menggunakan pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis budaya) yaitu dengan menciptakan buku cerita bergambar berbahasa Inggris berbasis kearifan lokal Madiun. Implementasi kegiatan ini bermitra dengan SD Kreatif Aisiyah Kartoharjo Kota Madiun. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam 2 tahap. Tahap 1 adalah kegiatan menulis buku History of Madiun yang ditulis oleh tim dan didukung oleh beberapa mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris. Proses penulisan buku melalui proses observasi, penggalian data budaya yang ada di kota Madiun, penentuan topik cerita, penulisan topik dalam cerita, editing buku, proses ISBN dan cetak buku. Tahap 2 adalah implementasi. Pada tahap ini kegiatan berpusat di sekolah mitra. Kegiatan meliputi; sosialisasi/bedah buku, modelling/demonstrasi teknik membaca dan memahami isi buku, dan pendistribusian buku di pojok baca buku dan perpustakaan. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukan; (1) Peningkatan minat siswa dalam membaca., (2) Pembiasaan budaya membaca sebelum pembelajaran dimulai, (3) Peningkatan pemahaman budaya dan kearifan lokal Madiun.
