Abstract

Suffering is the reality of religious people, so suffering is an important theme of almost all religions. The negative and depressed color of suffering invites religions to discuss it. Christianity does not see it as fatalistic, but regards suffering as the constitutive reality of all humans. All human beings must suffer, but faith makes humans have a different perspective in reacting to it. This paper wishes to examine the theme of suffering with hermeneutic studies. The research model used in this paper is a qualitative model with as much as possible using hermeneutics by comparing several texts and understanding about suffering, both in Christianity and in other religions. The expected goal of deepening this theme is to find a more comprehensive understanding of suffering as a Christian believer, and finally be able to unite spiritual suffering in the light of Christ who also suffered, so that eventually he also rose with Christ. Life is not to suffer and die silly. Life is also not filled with the solitude of the cross merely, because God created man clearly not to make him suffer.

Abstract

Idealism is a philosophical paradigm which views that the reality that exists in natural life is not an essential truth, but only a description of the ideas that exist in the world of ideas. Idealism is oriented to ideas, to the soul, to spirituality, to ideals, to norms that contain absolute truth. The ideal nature contains absolute, genuine, pure, and holy. This paper wants to explore how to apply the flow of idealism in the world of religious education. Why is this important? The Law on the National Education System (Undang-Undang Sisdiknas) orders that every student receive religious education according to their beliefs. Religious education is certainly an education about ideals, because it talks about God as the Supreme Ideal and encourages humans to have an ideal spiritual life. This paper is important to contribute some basic things in the perspective of idealism. Idealism assumes that knowledge is something that arises and is born from events in the human soul. The purpose of religious education in this perspective is thus to create human beings with noble personalities and have a higher and ideal standard of spiritual life and have a sense of responsibility to society.

This paper seeks to explore the moral dimension of the education system. The research used studies from various texts and writings related to the theme of morality and education in Indonesia. Moral education has the consequence that humans need training to recognize the truth and the nature of their human abilities, namely free will, conscience, and reason. Abstract

Abstract/Abstrak: The theme of koinonia is the central to Surabaya Dioces's basic direction. The terminology of koinonia itself is an absorption from the Greco-European culture. All things that are good in the teachings of the Church often experience sociological and philosophical obstacles when they are communicated to the people. At this point, a new way of dialogue is needed in an effort to find a bridge for the growing faith of the people in the Surabaya diocese. This paper is a study to explore gotong-royong as a typical Indonesian form of koinonia. Awareness of collective work and respect for other human beings as has existed in the practice of gotong-royong in Indonesia could be a starting point for the expansion of koinonia in the Surabaya diocese. This paper uses a qualitative method by using a research on texts regarding koinonia in the Catholic Church and mutual cooperation in Indonesian society, until finally a common ground is found in its practice in the Diocese of Surabaya. ). The coinonia model is usually taken from the story of the early church in Acts. The main characteristics of the early church were: fellowship, listening to the Word, solidarity, breaking of bread, and witnessing the faith. This way of living together is what makes them liked and multiply. Fellowship (koinonia) is thus expected not to become a foreign import concept at all to be carried out and fought for together with the practice of gotong royong. Abstract

Abstract: GerejaChurch life is bound up in a sense of togetherness. All members of the Church are bound together in one family in the faith. This research focuses on examining the idea ofCoinonia (communion) initiated by Ignasius of Antioch. The primary source is taken from Ignatius of Antioch's letter to the church at Ephesus. Ignatius of Antioch's letter to the church at Ephesus is an entry point to understanding how the church at that time fellowshipped and united. It turns out that the challenge of unity has existed since ancient times, and continues to this day in different forms. This research uses text analysis methods. Excavating documents and writings from Ignasus Anthiokia as one of the Church Fathers needs to be explored to capture how post-apostolic post-apostolic post-apostolic ideology was understood and practiced. This article seeks to contribute to the exploration of the theme of koinonia initiated by the Church Fathers, and to draw out its relevance for the appreciation of communion today. The conclusion that can be drawn is how important it is to maintain a sense of unity in faith as a form of koinonia amidst today's current of individualism, while remaining open to a variety of thoughts. Keywords: Coinonia (togetherness), Ignatius of Antioch, Ephesus. Abstract

This study aims to describe the importance of developing Pancasila’s character for prospective Catechist and Catholic Religious Teacher students to minimize the culture of cheating and at the same time to meet the needs of students, namely having superior character. This study uses a qualitative method with a purposive sampling technique, namely an informant selection technique using certain criteria. The data collection technique uses the interview method and in the data collection process, documentation is included as evidence of the implementation of the research. The results show that Pancasila's character is essential for students. One of them, Pancasila becomes a guideline in acting and becomes a noble value that must be preserved which will then become the identity of students. The challenges for students in appreciating the values of Pancasila are mostly coming from within the students themselves and various influences from outside the students themselves. Therefore, the results of the analysis show that Pancasila’s character development is needed for prospective Catechist and Catholic Religious Teacher students. This character development will be a solution to meet the needs of students in having superior character as provisions in their mission as Catechists and Catholic Religious Teachers.
