Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop augmented reality learning media with a problem-based learning model and analyze the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of augmented reality learning media with a problem-based learning model in improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This research uses the research and development method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The sampling technique used is a random assignment, namely random sampling, where the experimental and control groups are chosen randomly from a lottery. The first lottery that came out was used as the experimental class, and the second lottery was used as the control class. Data collection techniques in this research used interview techniques, questionnaires, and tests. The results show (1) augmented reality learning media with a problem-based learning model is suitable for use, (2) augmented reality learning media is very practical to use, (3) understanding of mathematical concepts of students who receive learning with augmented reality media is better than students with conventional learning, and there are significant differences. (4) The augmented reality-based learning media developed is effective in use. The findings imply that the augmented reality learning media with a problem-based learning model can be an alternative and innovative media in assisting the student’s comprehension on mathematical concepts

Abstract

The 2006 Pangandaran tsunami was one of the most significant natural disasters in Indonesia, causing major damage to coastal infrastructure and extensive social impacts. This study aims to reconstruct the 2006 Pangandaran tsunami using topographic data from DEMNAS and bathymetry data from BATNAS by applying it to a fine grid size (nested model). The other purpose is to determine the validity of the model that has been made if verified using a comparison with the results of field surveys and calculations of Aida numbers. The research method used is by using topographic data from DEMNAS and bathymetry data from BATNAS as well as using earthquake mechanism data from Global CMT. Furthermore, it is simulated using COMCOT software version 1.7 as well as by creating a nested grid of 4 grids.  The obtained simulation results are then verified using field data and Aida numbers. The results of this study show that the earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 Mw caused the movement of tectonic plates which resulted in a decrease and increase in sea level along the coast of Pangandaran. The simulation results have an Aida K value of 1.48 and an Aida

Abstract

This research uses a modified Research and Development (R&D) research and development model from Thiagarajan's Four D, namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The product of this research is a science literacy test instrument for junior high school science subjects in Pati Regency. Expert assessment by 4 assessors, including; 1 lecturer, 1 language expert, and 2 junior high school science teachers. The testing carried out by experts is instrument evaluation, the results of testing the validity and reliability of the scientific literacy test instrument for junior high school students. The test instrument developed obtained language percentage results of 86%, very good, 87% very good in construction, and 89% good in material. The expert validity assessment in developing scientific literacy test instruments produced a v'Aikens index test result of 0.8120, which is included in the high validity criterion. The results of the reliability test show an average size of 0.684 which is included in the ICC criteria for good reliability. development of scientific literacy test instruments as a whole is valid and can be used as a reference by teachers.
