This research was conducted in the kontunaga sub-district divided into two groups namely the intervention group and the control group with a total sample of 50 samples. The research method used is quasi experiment with Independent sample t-test analysis test. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of giving local papaya to second trimester pregnant women on the quantity of breast milk, this is indicated by the value of P <0.05, which is a very significant effect.

Abstract

Background: Hemoglobin (Hb) is a protein molecule containing iron from red blood cells and myoglobin in the muscles which functions to carry oxygen from the lungs to all body tissues and brings back carbon dioxide from all body tissues to the lungs to be excreted from the body. Hb level during pregnancy is very important because it affects the condition of the mother and fetus. If the Hb level of pregnant women is low, it can cause anemia. Symptoms of anemia are dizziness, pallor, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and decreased appetite. One of the foods that are good for pregnant women to consume is corn. It contains vitamins B1, B6, B9, B12, Biotin and pantothenic acid to metabolize carbohydrates, coenzymes, increase endurance, overcome nausea and vomiting, Hb formation and prevent anemia. Objectives  : This study aimed to determine the benefits of corn in trimester I pregnant women against complaints of pregnant women in trimester I. Methods : This research was a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest two group design approach in Lohia District, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi in 2020 with simple random sampling and the subjects in this study consisted of 20 in intervention and 20 in controls. The data collection technique was done by using an observation sheet to record the Hb measurement results. The t-test was used as a sample analysis test to determine the benefits of corn. Results : The results showed that in the first trimester of pregnant women, there was a significant increase in Hb levels after being given corn (Zea Mays) with P value = 0.000 <α = 0.05. Conclusion : The benefits of giving corn to trimester I pregnant women against complaints of trimester I pregnant women

Abstract

There are physical and psychological changes during pregnancy experienced by pregnant women. Anxiety often increases before delivery, especially in the third trimester. During pregnancy, COVID-19 can contribute to a woman's mental health issues. Anxiety is often experienced regarding previous birth and delivery, fear of becoming infected with COVID-19 and transmitting it to others, and information obtained from social media regarding the susceptibility of pregnant women to COVID-19. Anxiety will impact decision making, especially concerning the selection of maternity health care facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was a quantitative analytical study with cross-sectional design through survey methodology that was conducted July-November 2021 in the work area of 3 Community Health Centers (Betoambari, Katobengke and Kadolomoko) at Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi. 72 pregnant women in the third trimester who were recorded in the MCH book were selected as the study samples through probability sampling technique. This study aims to determine the relationship between anxiety of pregnant women and the type of maternity health care facility during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected using HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale) questionnaire. The results of data analysis using the Chi-Square test obtained a p=0.001<α=0.05. There was a relationship between anxiety of pregnant women and the type of health care facility during the COVID-19 pandemic. Women with severe anxiety chose Private Practice Midwife (16.6%), women with moderate anxiety chose CHC (15.2%) and women with mild anxiety chose hospital (12.5%) as a maternity health care facility during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Nausea and vomiting occur in 60-80% of primigravidas and 40-60% occur in multigravidas (Mahdika, 2016). Nausea and vomiting in pregnant women if not treated immediately will result in a very weak mother's body, pale face and decreased frequency of urination so that body fluids decrease and blood becomes thick (hemoconcentration). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the combination of aromatherapy and acupressure at point P6 (Nei Guan) for emesis gravidarum at the Waara Health Center, Muna Regency. The design of this study used the Pretest-Posttest with control design. The study design used pre- and post-tests in the intervention group (pregnant women with emesis gravidarum who were given a combination of aromatherapy and acupressure at point P6) in the control group (pregnant women with emesis gravidarum who were given acupressure at point P6). The bivariate test obtained a value of 0.001, namely α> 0.05 so that Ha was accepted, namely there was an effect of giving a combination of point P6 acupressure with Lemon aromatherapy on emesis gravidarum in primiparous women.

Abstract

SEHAT (Holistic Acupressure Touch to Overcome Emesis Gravidarum) training for Posyandu cadres in supporting the health of pregnant women was held in Kondongia village, Lohia sub-district, Muna district on October 15–17, 2025. This activity aims to improve the skills of Posyandu cadres in performing acupressure as a non-pharmacological complementary effort to overcome emesis gravidarum. The implementation method includes socialization, theoretical and practical training, and direct assistance in the field. The results of the activity showed an increase in cadre skills. Before the training, 85,71% of cadres were in the category of unable or unskilled in performing acupressure techniques. After the training, cadre skills increased with 33,33% being able to perform acupressure with little guidance and 66,66% being able to do it independently and correctly. A positive impact was also seen in the condition of pregnant women who were the targets of assistance, where there was a significant decrease in the frequency of emesis gravidarum. Before acupressure, 49,33% of pregnant women experienced mild and 20% severe emesis gravidarum, while after the intervention, only 14,66% experienced mild, 4% severe, and 68% did not experience emesis gravidarum. These results indicate that acupressure is effective as a simple complementary therapy that can be taught to Posyandu cadres to improve the comfort of pregnant women and support holistic maternal health.
