Abstract

Background: Hemoglobin (Hb) is a protein molecule containing iron from red blood cells and myoglobin in the muscles which functions to carry oxygen from the lungs to all body tissues and brings back carbon dioxide from all body tissues to the lungs to be excreted from the body. Hb level during pregnancy is very important because it affects the condition of the mother and fetus. If the Hb level of pregnant women is low, it can cause anemia. Symptoms of anemia are dizziness, pallor, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and decreased appetite. One of the foods that are good for pregnant women to consume is corn. It contains vitamins B1, B6, B9, B12, Biotin and pantothenic acid to metabolize carbohydrates, coenzymes, increase endurance, overcome nausea and vomiting, Hb formation and prevent anemia. Objectives  : This study aimed to determine the benefits of corn in trimester I pregnant women against complaints of pregnant women in trimester I. Methods : This research was a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest two group design approach in Lohia District, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi in 2020 with simple random sampling and the subjects in this study consisted of 20 in intervention and 20 in controls. The data collection technique was done by using an observation sheet to record the Hb measurement results. The t-test was used as a sample analysis test to determine the benefits of corn. Results : The results showed that in the first trimester of pregnant women, there was a significant increase in Hb levels after being given corn (Zea Mays) with P value = 0.000 <α = 0.05. Abstract

There are physical and psychological changes during pregnancy experienced by pregnant women. Anxiety often increases before delivery, especially in the third trimester. During pregnancy, COVID-19 can contribute to a woman's mental health issues. Anxiety is often experienced regarding previous birth and delivery, fear of becoming infected with COVID-19 and transmitting it to others, and information obtained from social media regarding the susceptibility of pregnant women to COVID-19. Anxiety will impact decision making, especially concerning the selection of maternity health care facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was a quantitative analytical study with cross-sectional design through survey methodology that was conducted July-November 2021 in the work area of 3 Community Health Centers (Betoambari, Katobengke and Kadolomoko) at Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi. 72 pregnant women in the third trimester who were recorded in the MCH book were selected as the study samples through probability sampling technique. This study aims to determine the relationship between anxiety of pregnant women and the type of maternity health care facility during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected using HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale) questionnaire. The results of data analysis using the Chi-Square test obtained a p=0.001<α=0.05. There was a relationship between anxiety of pregnant women and the type of health care facility during the COVID-19 pandemic. Women with severe anxiety chose Private Practice Midwife (16.6%), women with moderate anxiety chose CHC (15.2%) and women with mild anxiety chose hospital (12.5%) as a maternity health care facility during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Defisiensi gizi dapat mengganggu pembentukan neuroblast yang berakibat pengecilan ukuran kepala janin sehingga terjadi microcephaly yang berkaitan dengan penurunan kecerdasan. Janin dalam kandungan ibu yang mengalami keadaan kekurangan nutrisi di usia kehamilan trimester II, berakibat proporsi badannya kurus. Upaya meningkatkan produksi ASI dapat dilakukan dengan melakukan perawatan payudara sejak dini dan rutin, meningkatkan teknik menyusui, asupan makanan yang dapat meningkatkan produksi ASI salah satunya mengonsumsi buah pepaya yang mengandung laktagogum.Sasaran Pengabdiankepada Masyarakat (PkM), yaitu kelompok wanita tani (mitra)dan Ibu hamilPosyandu“Bougenvil”.Tujuan PkM ini yaitumengadakan sumber air bersih untuk penyiraman tanaman pepaya,memperluas tempat pembibitan papaya, mengadakan penyuluhankepada mitra terkait cara pembibitan buah pepaya lokal dan edukasi kepada ibu hamil tentang manfaat buah papaya dalam kehamilan. Metode yang digunakan pretest dan posttest diberikan kepada mitra dan ibuhamil untuk mengetahui sejauh mana keberhasilan kegiatan ini  dilaksanakan. Hasil PkM menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan mitra menjadi 85% dan ibu hamil 86,7%.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini merupakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berbentuk pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pemilik UMKM Kenzy Profil dalam mendesain media komunikasi pemasaran terpadu (baliho/spanduk, brosur, banner dan leaflet) dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan hasil penjualalan produk batu alam yang diproduksi. Model kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah 1) pelatihan desain komunikasi pemasaran terpadu menggunakan aplikasi Canva; 2) transfer ilmu cara pemasaran yang efektif menggunakan media komunikasi pemasaran terpadu menggunakan media social online. Hasil kegiatan ini diperoleh informasi bahwa pemilik UMKM Kenzi Profil mampu mendesain media komunikasi pemasaran terpadu dengan baik dan memahami secara baik cara pemasaran yang efektif menggunakan media komunikasi pemasaran terpadu untuk meningkatkan hasil penjualan.

Abstract

The aim of this community service is to provide knowledge about how to make lecturer research results into community service results that are published in the National Journal indexed by Sinta. The service method used is an educational method with systematic implementation steps in the form of: activity preparation stage, activity implementation stage, activity evaluation and mentoring stage. After carrying out this service program, it is hoped that the participants will have the knowledge and expertise in converting research results into community service work published in the National Journal indexed by Sinta.

Abstract

Pos Pelayanan Terpadu (Posyandu) merupakan salah satu pelayanan kesehatan untuk memudahkan masyarakat mengetahui atau memeriksakan kesehatan terutama untuk ibu dan anak balita.. Kualitas dan kuantitas dari pembangunan kesehatan sangat ditentukan oleh keberhasilan petugas kesehatan dalam memberikan pelayanan holistik pada klien dalam rangka memenuhi sasaran yang ingin dicapai. Posyandu merupakan ujung tombak pelayanan kesehatan dan merupakan bagian dari pembangunan kesehatan yang diprogramkan oleh pemerintah yang bertujuan untuk mempercepat penurunan angka kematian bayi, angka kelahiran bayi, dan angka kematihn ibu , serta dalam rangka mempercepat terwuiudnya Norma Keluarga Kecil Bahagia Sejahtera. Secara teknis tugas kader yang terkait dengan gizi adalah melakukan pendataan balita, melakukan penimbangan serta mencatatnya dalam Kartu Menuju Sehat (KMS), memberikan makanan tambahan, mendistribusikan vitamin A, melakukan penyuluhan gizi serta kunjungan ke rumah ibu yang menyusui dan ibu yang memiliki balita. Produk Standar Antropometri merupakan pengembangan dari Lampiran PMK No.2 Tahun 2020 tentang Standar Antropomteri Anak yang berbentuk tabel. Adanya produk ini diharapkan memberikan solusi kepada kader dalam memberikan pelayanan khususnya dalam melakukan pengukuran antropometri kepada Balita dalam menentukan status gizi agar lebih efektif dan efisien. Kegiatan PkM dilaksanakan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Banabungi Kabupaten Buton pada Tanggal 24 Juli 2023 yang terdiri atas 2 orang dosen  serta 2 orang mahasiswa kebidanan Politeknik Baubau yang turut berpartisipasi. Sasaran PkM ini Kader Posyandu Mawar 3 yang berjumlah 5 orang.  Kegiatan PkM terdiri atas 6 tahapan, yaitu Pembukaan: diawali dengan salam kemudian pemateri memperkenalkan diri, menyampaikan tujuan dan sasaran serta membagikan lembar pre test yang kemudian diisi oleh kader Posyandu. Proses: pemateri menyampaikan materi dengan metode ceramah dan dibantu media handout dilanjutkan dengan diskusi serta tanya jawab. Evaluasi: pemateri memberikan lembar post test dan meminta kader Posyandu untuk mengisinya serta memberikan kesempatan untuk bertanya tentang materi yang belum dipahami. Refleksi: pemateri memberikan pesan dari kegiatan PkM yang telah dilakukan. Tindak lanjut: pemateri memberikan edukasi kepada kader Posyandu tentang manfaat produk yang ada. Penutupan: mengucapkan salam dan hamdalah. Hasil kegiatan PkM menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan kader Posyandu terhadap penggunaan Media Putar Antropometri Status Gizi Usia 0-59 Bulan pre test  25% menjadi 100% pada saat  post test.

Abstract

Background: Smartphone users in Indonesia mostly use smartphones to access mobile applications rather than mobile websites. As many as 82% of smartphone users in Indonesia access mobile applications while the remaining 9% of users each access mobile websites and websites via desktop. The majority of the population of smartphone users who access mobile applications come from productive age, namely 75% from 18-24 year olds and 79% from 25-34 year olds. The survey results prove that the development of information technology in mobile technology has developed rapidly. These technological developments have resulted in changes and developments in all fields, one of which is the health sector. Objectives: The aim of this research is to design and create Android-based anthropometry of nutritional status aged 0-59 months. which can be downloaded via the cell phone used by Posyandu cadres.Methods:.This research developed an innovative Android application to assess the nutritional status of boys aged 0-59 months using the Waterfall development method in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This approach starts from requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, to implementation and maintenance, which is carried out in a linear and gradual manner to ensure that each phase of development runs in a structured manner and produces effective and high-quality applications.Results: The research results show that this anthropometric application significantly increases the efficiency and effectiveness of Posyandu cadre service time. By reducing the need for manual recording and calculations, this application speeds up the process of assessing the nutritional status of children aged 0-59 months, reduces errors, and allows cadres to focus more on direct interactions with mothers and children, thereby improving the overall quality of services.Conclusions: Android-based Anthropometric Application for Nutritional Status Age 0-59 Months is a digital tools.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Anemia pada kehamilan merupakan anemia yang terjadi pada ibu hamil dengan kadar hemoglobin 11, 0 gram/ dL. Pergantian fisiologis sepanjang kehamilan, melalui kenaikan volume plasma yang lebih besar dibanding kenaikan sel darah merah, menimbulkan hemodilusi sehingga berisiko terjadi anemia. Komplikasi anemia dalam kehamilan bisa tingkatkan resiko morbiditas serta mortalitas ibu dan bayi , diantaranya abortus, persalinan prematur, Berat Badan Lahir Rendah (BBLR), sampai kematian ibu sepanjang ataupun setelah persalinan. Tujuan pengabdian ini  yaitu  memberikan edukasi ibu hamil dengan anemia tentang pemanfaatan jagung serta ubi ungu dalam bentuk cookies sebagai terapi  komplementer/ pengobatan pendamping. Program ini dilaksanakan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kampeonaho, Kota Baubau pada bulan Juni 2025 dengan sasaran 20 ibu hamil dengan anemia. Metode yang digunakan  yaitu melalui penyuluhan serta menggunakan Pre-Test serta melalui kuesioner. Hasil pengabdian  menunjukan bahwa kenaikan rerata pengetahuan partisipan dari 1, 40 ( Pre-Test) menjadi 1, 80 (Post-Test). Uji statistik menunjukan peningkatan signifikan antara pengetahuan saat sebelum serta sehabis penyuluhan (P-Value= 0,02 0,05. Kesimpulan:Terdapat pengaruh signifikan penyuluhan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan ibu hamil anemia tentang pemanfaatan jagung serta ubi ungu sebagai terapi komplementer dalam penanganan anemia dalam kehamilan. Kata Kunci: Jagung, Ubi Ungu, Cookies, Terapi Komplementer, Ibu Hamil, Anemia.  ABSTRACT Anemia in pregnancy is anemia that occurs in pregnant women with hemoglobin levels of 11.0 grams/dL. Physiological changes throughout pregnancy, through an increase in plasma volume greater than the increase in red blood cells, cause hemodilution so that the risk of anemia occurs. Complications of anemia in pregnancy can increase the risk of maternal and infant morbidity and mortality, including abortion, premature delivery, Low Birth Weight (LBW), to maternal death during or after delivery. The purpose of this community service is to provide education to pregnant women with anemia about the use of corn and purple sweet potatoes in the form of cookies as complementary therapy/accompanying treatment. This program was implemented in the work area of the Kampeonaho Health Center, Baubau City in June 2025 with a target of 20 pregnant women with anemia. The method used was through counseling and using Pre-Test and through questionnaires. The results of the community service showed an increase in the average knowledge of participants from 1.40 (Pre-Test) to 1.80 (Post-Test). Statistical tests showed a significant increase in knowledge before and after counseling (P-Value = 0.02 0.05). Conclusion: There is a significant influence of counseling on increasing the knowledge of pregnant women with anemia regarding the use of corn and purple sweet potatoes as complementary therapy in treating anemia during pregnancy. Keywords: Corn, Purple Sweet Potato, Cookies, Complementary Therapy, Pregnant Women, Anemia

Abstract

Background: Iron deficiency anemia is common in pregnant women and can cause premature birth, low birth weight, and labor complications. Corn and purple sweet potatoes are foods rich in iron, folic acid, and antioxidants. Objective: The study aimed to determine the effect of consuming corn cookies and purple sweet potato cookies on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. Methods: The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a pre-post test only with a control group. After the initial hemoglobin examination (pre-test) in the three groups, an intervention was given: corn cookies and purple sweet potato cookies for 14 days in the intervention group, and a repeat Hb examination in the 3 groups (Post-Test). The study sample was 30 respondents and was analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis. Results: The results showed a statistically significant difference in average hemoglobin (Hb) value after treatment between the three study groups, namely the purple sweet potato cookies group (19.40), the corn cookies group (16.30), and the control group (10.80). The results of the calculation of the nutritional value of corn cookies per serving (100 gr), obtained energy results of 171.2 Kcal, Protein 3.66 g, Fat 11.94 g, carbohydrates 14.26 g, and Iron (Fe) of 1.32 mg while the nutritional value of purple sweet potato cookies per serving (100 gr), shows energy of 180.1 Kcal, protein 3.18 g, fat 12.22 g, carbohydrates 16.14 g, and Iron (Fe) of 1.58 mg. Conclusion: Purple sweet potato cookies and corn cookies have the potential to increase hemoglobin levels in pregnant women.
