Abstract

Background: Early marriage is a form of violence and violation of children's rights. Early marriage that occurs in Indonesia is a very complex dynamic. Geographically, culturally and religiously, the level of acceptance and practice of child marriage varies across Indonesia. Based on the Report on the Fulfillment of Children's Rights in the Special Region of Yogyakarta in 2017, the number of child marriages in the Special Region of Yogyakarta was 294, a decrease from 2016 which was 346 (a decrease of 15.3%). Early marriage has a big risk of experiencing various bad things. Objective: to find out what are the impacts of early marriage on women of reproductive age in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Methods: The data used in this study is secondary data from the Indonesian Health Demographic Survey (IDHS) issued by the BKKBN. The population in this study were all women of reproductive age whose data was recorded in the partner data in the 2017 IDHS report (Couples record). This research is an analytic study with a cross sectional approach. Data analysis was performed using Cremer's V and Contingency Coefficient analysis. Results: The results showed that there was an effect of early marriage on several dependent variables in this study which was indicated by p value <0.05. Some of these variables are education (p=0.002), Welfare Index (0.025), marital history (0.033). In addition, there is no significant relationship between the respondent's early marriage with employment, choice of contraceptive method, role in decision making, knowledge of reproductive health and knowledge of domestic violence.Conclusion: Reproductive health and sexuality education needs to be carried out strategically and systematically nationally and sustainably by involving various cross-sectors, starting from school education, community leaders, religious leaders and health workers. Appropriate and comprehensive teaching and education can help youth in making wise decisions regarding early marriage.

Abstract

The number of HIV/AIDS in Indonesia is more increasing and its distribution has been very complex. Now, HIV/AIDS is also attacking housewives, whose activity is mostly at home. In Yogyakarta, there are many obstacles to the practice of taking ARV, because of the less openness of HIV/AIDS sufferers, uncontrollable distribution and irregular consumption of ARV. The purpose of this research is to know investigate the relation between the knowledge of HIV/AIDS and the counseling of HIV/AIDS among housewives with HIV/AIDS in Yogyakarta. This research is quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. The sample is 47 housewives with HIV/AIDS. The data was collected through the interview using a structured questionnaire and analyzed by chi-square to know investigate the relation between the knowledge of HIV/AIDS and the counseling of HIV/AIDS. This research showed that the majority of respondents had less knowledge about HIV/AIDS (61.7%) and did not attend counseling (59.6%). The analysis between two variables using chi-square result p=0.000, it means that there was a correlation between knowledge of HIV/AIDS and the counseling of HIV/AIDS among housewives with HIV/AIDS in Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Family planning is part of the needs of the community, todays, by the government has given to the community. This condition was used by BKKBN as a trigger to improve toward independence. Yogyakarta Province (DIY) as the one province in Indonesia which has high number of active acceptors. In 2012, active acceptors has reached 34.373 (73.29%) of 47 339 couples of productive age (BKKBN 2012). This research aimed to know representation of KB independence in couples of childbearing age (EFA) in Yogyakarta 2013. This is a descriptive research with descriptive survey approach. The population of study was an active family planning participants with a sample size of 521. Sampling techniques was done by Probability Proportional to Size (PPS), while respondents were determined with random sampling technique. Data was analyzed using univariate analysis. In this study, contraception was widely obtained by couple of childbearing age with fully paying and health insurance total of 143 (52.2%) with the reason of having KB independence was because of economic factors at 128 respondents (46.7%). In conclusion, Independence KB in Yogyakarta can be represented that mostly KB is provided through paying full as the majority have a health insurance.

Abstract

The HIV / AIDS cases in Indonesia is increasing and the spread is very complex. This research is a quantitative study with analytical survey research methods. The population was 37 HIV / AIDS mothers taken by total population at IPPI Foundation Yogyakarta. Data were analyzed by Chi-Square and it was found that most respondents had good knowledge about HIV / AIDS (94.6%), and were well-informed about the use of VCT (81.1%). The results of the correlation (p value: 0.532) did not have the demographic significance of respondents with the use of VCT services, (p value: 0.065) had no significance of knowledge of HIV / AIDS with the use of VCT services, (p value: 0.048) utilization of VCT services. The results of the study can concluded that there is no association of predisposing factors with the use of VCT services. There is a relationship between knowledge about VCT services and utilization of VCT services. Based on the results, needed to maintain and further improve VCT services in improving the health status of mothers with HIV / AIDS

Abstract

The problem of population is important big issues and urgent, primarily related with aspects of the quality of population control, improving the quality of population and mobility of population, if its associated with the potential threat of explosion of population. The purpose of this study was to know factors associated with unmet need family planning among reproductive age couples in Yogyakarta. This study used descriptive method. The populations of this study were all of reproductive age couples in Yogyakarta. The sampling technique was done by probability proportional to size resulted on 779 respondents of reproductive age couples from 30 sub village in 30 village in Yogyakarta. The results of study showed that there was no significant relationship between respondent ages and unmet need, no significant relationship between wife education and unmet need, and no significant relationship between the number of children still live and unmet need.

Abstract

Alasan-alasan para ibu menghentikan pemberian ASI-nya, menurut hasil laporan Depkes RI 1990 yaitu ASI tidak keluar 32%, ibu bekerja 28%, pengaruh pemberian susu formula 16%, pengaruh suami dan saudara 24% dan keinginan dianggap modern 4%. Bayi yang tidak diberi ASI secara eksklusif sangat rentan terserang penyakit. Penyakit yang bisa disebabkan karena kegagalan pemberian ASI eksklusif antara lain meningkatkan risiko kematian, infeksi saluran pencernaan (muntah, mencret), infeksi saluran pernapasan, meningkatkan gizi buruk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang karakteristik dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi balita yang tidak mendapat ASI eksklusif di Dusun Mangir Tengah Desa Sendang Kecamatan Pajangan Bantul. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode penelitian natura1istik kuatitatif. Data-data penelitian dicatat melalui perekaman audio tape, pengambilan foto, catatan lapangan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah ibu-ibu yang memiliki balita yang tidak diberi ASI eksklusif. Pengambilan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian status gizi balita yang tidak mendapatkan ASI eksklusif termasuk dalam kategori baik. Pertumbuhan dan perkembangan balita yang tidak mendapatkan ASI eksklusif termasuk dalam kategori normal. Faktor- faktor yang memengaruhi balita tidak mendapatkan ASI eksklusif antara lain ASI tidak lancar, kerja pabrik, kuliah, bayi tidak mau minum ASI, payudara bengkak, puting lecet.

Abstract

Family planning is an effort to support the national policy of family planning program. One of indicators family planning programs is existing acceptors and Contraceptive Prevalence Rate (CPR). CPR is the percentage of devides used by fertile couple. The purpose of this research is to identify acceptors’ level of knowledge contraceptive devices at Puskesmas Sedayu I. This observational research used cross sectional approach. A method of the research is survey. The population in this research is acceptors of family planning in Yogyakarta. The sample in this research is 33 family planning acceptors in Yogyakarta. This research found that understanding acceptors about contraceptive devices are low (54,5%), acceptors aged between 21-35 years was the majority (24 respondents or 72,7%), understanding of description family planning devices was in average level at about (69,7%), understanding the type of contraception devices was average (36,4%), understanding of example the contracentive devices was great (63,6%), and understanding of benefi t the contraceptive devices was low (48,5%).
