Abstract

ABSTRACT Advances in science and technology have an impact on improving the quality of life of the elderly and life expectancy, along with this, the number of elderly population has also increased. Efforts to improve the quality of life of the elderly in Indonesia could be through home care and aging institution services. The purpose of this study is determine differences in the quality of life (physical, psychological, social and environment domain) of the elderly who live in aging institution and staying at home. Study sample consisted of 38 elderly who lives in aging institution Warga Mas Titian Ridho Ilahi in Batang Angkola Tapanuli Selatan and 38 elderly who stay at home in district of Batang Angkola Pintupadang I Tapanuli Selatan. The statistical test used was the Mann Whitney test. Obtained no difference in physical quality (p=0,085) and environmental quality (0,0157) of elderly people living at aging institution and staying at home, there is a statistically significant difference in the quality of the psychology (p=0,029) and quality of social (p=0,032) of elderly people living at aging institution and staying at home, overall, there are differences in their quality between the elderly living at aging institution and staying at home (p = 0.027). Based on the results of this study are advised to continue to improve the services of psychology in the form of increased productivity, provide information to the elderly and access to health services, especially in the elderly living at aging institution. Abstract

Education in Indonesia in the last decade has reaped many problems including the weak character of the young generation where the success of a nation can be seen from the character of the younger generation. Seeing these problems, there needs to be some breakthroughs, one of which can be done through character inculcation that is applied in schools through classroom learning and other activities such as extracurricular activities. This research method is qualitative with the type of descriptive research, namely the type of research that examines data that can describe complex and concrete social realities. This study uses data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, library methods and the use of documentation. The analysis in this study uses interactive data analysis from Lexy Moleong with the pre-field stage, the implementation stage, the data analysis stage, the conclusion stage and the reporting stage. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of extracurricular Islamic Religious Education in MTs EX PGA UNIVA Medan there were 13 extracurricular Islamic Religious Education. (2) extracurricular activities in MTs EX PGA UNIVA Medan are essentially many activities. However, in this discussion, only PAI extracurricular activities were taken which presumably had a stake in the formation of student character, for example the types of PAI extracurricular activities namely introduction of the holy book, worship, social activities, habituation of noble character and the inculcation of religious historical values. Through this activity students can learn to develop communication skills, collaborate with others, discipline and other characters.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri penerapan Filosofi Hamoraon Hagabeon dan Hasangapon Etnik Batak Toba yang diterapkan perempuan Batak Toba dalam lingkungan rumah tangganya dan menganalisis partisipasi perempuan Etnik Batak Toba dengan cara yang dilakukan Perempuan Batak Toba dalam meningkatkan perekonomian rumah tangganya diĀ  kota Rantauprapat Kelurahan Bakaran Batu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya adalah melalui observasi,wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan filosofi Hamoroan Hagabeon dan Hasangapon pada Perempuan Batak Toba masih sangat minim pada rumah tangga Perempuan usia berumur muda. Namun, Perempuan Batak Toba yang berusia tua sangat kental akan penerapan Filosofi Hamoraon Hagabeon dan Hasangapon pada rumah tangganya. Kaitan filosofi Hamoraon Hagabeon dan Hasangapon memberikan motivasi untuk Perempuan Batak Toba terjun kedalam dunia pekerjaan untuk membantu dan memperbaiki ekonomi keluarga. Dengan membantu perekonomian keluarga perempuan Batak Toba di Kelurahan Bakaran Batu menerjunkan diri dengan cara ikut bekerja. Adapun cara yang dilakukan perempuan Batak Toba untuk membantu perekonomian rumah tangganya dengan bekerja sebagai guru SD, Buruh Tani, Pedagang Warung dan Pengusaha. Cara tersebut merupakan upaya perempuan Batak Toba dalam membantu perekonomian rumah tangganya sekaligus membantu memperbaiki pendapatan suami di rumah tangga.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the learning innovations implemented at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah (MDTA) An-Nuur and its impact on improving the quality of education. Learning innovation is an effort to improve and develop learning methods and strategies to be more effective and efficient in achieving educational goals. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the learning innovations implemented at MDTA An-Nuur, such as the use of technology in learning, the application of active learning methods, and the development of competency-based curriculum, can significantly improve the quality of education. Students showed an increase in learning motivation, critical thinking skills, and understanding of subject matter. This study suggests that learning innovations continue to be developed and adjusted to student needs and technological developments to achieve better quality of education.
