Abstract

The titanus plant (Leea aequata L.) is a plant that used as traditional medicine. The stems and roots are used as astringent, anthelmintic, indigestion, jaundice, chronic fever and malaria. The leaves and twigs are used as an antiseptic and to treat wounds. Steroids are secondary metabolites that have a compound structure that quite diverse. Steroids have a pharmacological effect on lowering cholesterol and anticarcinogenic. The objective of the research to determine the steroid levels in titanus leaf extract (Leea aequata L.). The analytical method used is qualitative with reagents Lieberman-Bouchard and quantitative uv-vis spectrophotometry with wavelength of 423 nm. The results of the qualitative analysis of the positive samples contained steroid compounds. The Results quantitative content of ethanol extract of titanus leaf 30.8889 mg/g, and quantitative results ethyl acetate extract content of titanus leaves 72.2649 mg/g. Validity test results obtained linearity test r=0.9994, RSD of ethanol extract 0,2852% and ethyl acetate extract 8,1120%, recovery of 101% ethanol extract and 103.667% ethyl acetate extract, LOD 2.2078 and LOQ 7,3593. SPSS analysis results p=0.000 (p<0.05). Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that uv-vis spectrophotometry can be used to determine total steroid content of titanus leaf extract (Leea aequata L.).

Abstract

Quality health services are health services that can satisfy every user of health services in accordance with the level of satisfaction. Satisfaction will occur if the expectations of the patient can be met by the services provided by the hospital so that it needs to be considered continuously the satisfaction and expectations of the patient. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of satisfaction of outpatients of BPJS Kesehatan participants with pharmaceutical services at the outpatient Pharmacy Installation at RSU Sembiring. The design of this study used descriptive survey research. The population in this study was 1400 patients, and the sample was 93 patients using the Slovin formula. Data collected through primary and secondary data and using univariant and bivariant analysis with the help of the SPSS computer program. The results of the chi square test obtained variables related to the satisfaction of outpatients at the general hospital, namely: Physical evidence (p value = 0.002), Reliability (p value = 0.000, Responsiveness (p value = 0.002), Guarantee (p value = 0.004), and Empathy (p value = 0.000). It is recommended to the Outpatient Pharmacy of Sembiring General Hospital to maintain a good quality of service and continue to improve the quality of service to patients.

Abstract

White broccoli (Brassica oleracea L.) is a vegetable rich in vitamin C and has potential as a functional food source beneficial to health. This study aimed to determine the vitamin C content in white broccoli available in Deli Tua District using the UV-Vis spectrophotometric method and to evaluate the validity of the applied analytical method. The broccoli sample was extracted, analyzed qualitatively using iodine reagent, and quantitatively at a maximum wavelength of 265 nm. The calibration curve was constructed using five standard concentrations of vitamin C with a regression equation of y = 0.0495x + 0.0019 and a correlation coefficient r = 0.9996, indicating excellent linearity. The analysis showed that the vitamin C content was 1,8098 mg/g. The method validation met the required criteria: accuracy % recovery of 108.36%, precision RSD 0.47739%, limit of detection LOD of 0.18375, and limit of quantification LOQ of 0.61325. Therefore, the UV-Vis spectrophotometric method is proven valid and accurate for determining the vitamin C content in white broccoli.
