Abstract

Public Health Center is a technical unit of health official in regency / town that responsible to take care health development in work area. The success of health care in organization viewed from the availability of health workers. Human resources is a major asset of health center, it is necessary to do planning and calculation of health workers who are in any specific units. The purpose of this research was to see the representation of necessity planning of human resources in health by using the method of Workload Indicators Of Staffing Need (WISN) at health center of Namorambe. The type of this research was quantitative descriptive research by using observation, interviews, questionnaires and document study. The sample of this research were all health workers at health centers of Namorambe on work units, namely: General checkup 9 persons, Emergency Room 8 persons, Dental chekup 4 persons, Maternal and child health centers 3 person, Pharmacies 5 persons, Poli of children 2 persons, obstetrician at KB 1 person, and analysis at Laboratory 1 person. Based on the calculations by the method of WISN Human Resources needs, to persons health workers in general checkup, Emergency Room needs one person, and it needs one person for Pharmacies. It is expected for human resources development, especially in the Section of Planning and Human Resources Development of North Sumatra Health Official so that follow up the proposal on the demand for health workers.

Abstract

The hospitals can be a place where various kinds of microorganisms spread. To prevent such situation, there needs to be an effort to control infection effectively in hospitals, one of the preventation of contamination between nurses and patient is to use personal protective equipment (PPE) every time a treatment conducted. The method of this research is decriptive correlation with cross-sectional approach, which objective is to see correlation between the two variables, namely motivation, as the independent variable, and behaviour, as the dependent variable. The result of is research variable knowledge with pvalue = 0,030, variable graduated with pvalue = 0,395, variable long-time employment with pvalue = 0,022, variable jobholders with pvalue = 0,179, variable policy with pvalue = 0,000, variable supervision with pvalue = 0,000, variable attitude with pvalue = 0,005. As the conclusion from chi-square test result, it was found out that the use of personal protective equipment has correlation with motivation with nurse’s attitude in doing treatment, and the use of personal protective equipment has to be maintained dan become one of the regular activity for nurses in doing treatment. It is suggested to profesional health care in hospital to pay more attention to the nurses’ performance in order to increase the quality of health service to the community, and hospitals should increase the program for supervision, policy, and provision of the use of PPE on nurses to increase the quality of services in hospitals, nurses should always use personal protective equipment in every treatment.

Abstract

A nurse is someone who has the ability, responsibility and authority to carry out nursing care services at various levels of nursing services. Nursing services provided are in the form of nurse performance and must be based on high ability so that performance supports the implementation of tasks in nursing services. The purpose of this study was to determine the dominant factor related to the performance of nurses in the inpatient room of Sembiring General Hospital in 2018. This type of research was observational analytic with cross sectional approach where the population was all nurses in the inpatient ward of Sembiring General Hospital with a sample size 101 respondents were taken using proportional random sampling technique. Based on the results of the study it was found that from the variables of leadership, work performance, work promotion, incentives, working conditions, work relationships, and workload results obtained workload variables that were significantly related to the performance of nurses in the inpatient ward of Sembiring General Hospital with a value (p -value 0,004) with PR 1,698 (95% CI: 1,186-2,429) has a significant effect on the performance of nurses in the Inpatient Room of the Sembiring General Hospital. Based on the results of the logistic regression test, the most dominant variable was workload with a value (p-value 0.020) and Exp value (B) 2.939 (95%; CI: 1.185-7.291). It is recommended to the Head of the Sembiring General Hospital to pay more attention to the arrangements of nurses' work shifts, nurses' work rotations, job description job descriptions that are in accordance with the competencies and timeliness of nurses' entry and return from work so that in carrying out their work nurses can work effectively.

Abstract

Nurse turnover is the discharge of nurses from one hospital to another which is considered better than the previous hospital. The purpose of this study was to determine what factors influence the turnover of honorary nurses at the TNI - AD Hospital with a cross sectional research design. The total population and sample of the study were 78 nurses. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate method, bivariate with chi square test and multivariate with logistic regression test. The results showed that from 78 nurses as many as 67 (85.9%) said that the basic salary received was not proportional to the workload they did. The basic salary received is still the minimum regional wage so that it can lead to turnover for honorary nurses. The factor of turnover based on incentives was 42 nurses (53.8%) with categories still below Rp. 500,000 received, 69 nurses (88.5%) had never experienced a promotion during work and 66 nurses (84.6%) had never experience work conflict. The results of the bivariate analysis obtained are that the factors that influence the occurrence of turnover are basic salary with a p value of <0.05. The results of multivariate analysis showed that basic salary was the most dominant factor in the occurrence of turnover in honorary nurses with a coefficient value (10,034). Policies are needed in fair promotion and re-evaluation of the compensation system in accordance with the length of work and level of education.

Abstract

Kompensasi yang diberikan dapat meningkatkan prestasi kerja dan motivasi pegawai, oleh karena itu perhatian organisasi atau perusahaan terhadap kompensasi penyelesaian secara rasional dan adil sangat diperlukan. Ketika karyawan memandang bahwa kompensasi tidak memadai, prestasi kerja, motivasi dan kepuasan kerja mereka akan cenderung menurun. Dengan pemberian kompensasi yang sesuai, tentunya akan meningkatkan disiplin kerja karyawan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompensasi terhadap disiplin kinerja pegawai di Puskesmas Deli Tua Kecamatan Deli Tua Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik dengan menggunakan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai Puskesmas Deli Tua Kecamatan Deli Tua Kabupaten Deli Serdang yang berjumlah 41 responden dan sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh populasi yang dijadikan sampel. Analisis data dilakukan dari tahap univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji Chi-square = 0,05. Dan hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa ada hubungan antara kompensasi dengan kinerja disiplin pegawai di Puskesmas Puskesmas Deli Tua Kecamatan Deli Tua Kabupaten Deli Serdang dimana 41 responden ada 27 responden yang tidak disiplin dan 14 responden (33,3%) yang disiplin. Berdasarkan hasil uji chi square didapatkan Nilai = 0,000 yang artinya tidak ada hubungan dengan disiplin kompensasi pegawai di Puskesmas Deli Tua Kecamatan Deli Tua Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Diharapkan kepada Puskesmas Deli Tua Kecamatan Deli Tua Kabupaten Deli Serdang agar lebih meningkatkan kompensasi dan disiplin pegawai agar kualitas kerja dan pelayanan publik menjadi lebih baik lagi.

Abstract

Breast cancer is a disease that is caused by excessive growth or uncontrolled development of breast cells (tissue). According to the American Cancer Society 2016, cancer is the leading cause of death in Asia, America, Hawaii and the Pacific Islands with a proportion of 27% of all deaths with cancer most common in men prostate cancer 18% lung cancer 14% colorectal cancer 12% whereas for women, the most common cancer is 34% (WHO 2017). Soursop is a plant that can grow and bear fruit throughout the year in soil conditions with sufficient water content. Soursop fruit is composed of 67% edible fruit flesh, 20% skin 8.5% seeds and 4% the central axis of the fruit from the overall weight of the fruit. To analyze the effect of soursop leaf decoction on the prevention of early-stage breast cancer. research design uses one group pretest posttest design. The variables in this study were soursop leaf stew as an independent variable and prevention of early-stage breast cancer as the dependent variable. The population in this study were all women who had early stage breast cancer. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique of 10 respondents. Intervention will be carried out by giving soursop leaf stew 2 times one day. Data were collected using questionnaire and paired sample T test. The results of the study showed that there were physical changes in breast cancer patients. Shaphiro-wilk data normality test results before giving soursop leaf decoction is 8.8 and after given soursop leaf decoction is 4.1. Paired sample test results show that the data p: 0,000 <α: 0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Which means that there is an influence of soursop leaf decoction there is prevention of early-stage breast cancer.

Abstract

The weakness of referral system has an impact on the use of human resources and in effficent advanced technology, have consequence in accumulation of patients in the hospital and finally impacted to the quality of health service. The purpose of research was to find out the factor of online referral that related to patient satisfaction in agency of social health service outpatients. The research was done using the quantitaive method with the cross sectional approach which analytical survey. The 96 samples is from purposive sampling method. The data instrument used questionnaire with the item correlation 0,361 and cronbach alpha 0,6. The data analysis was done with chi-square test (X 2 test) on the bivariate test, and regression logistic on the multivariate test with α= 0,05. The result of the analysis was related certainty of time (p=0,005), certainty of referral (p= 0,007),waiting time (p=0,034), acces to health service (p=0,011),quality of health service (p= 0,001), health care procces (p=0,004), health care system (p= 0,003) with the patient satisfaction in agency of social health service outpatients and the most dominant variable related with patient satisfaction is certainty of referral (RP=8,886). The research was concluded that there is related the certainty of time, certainty of referral, waiting time, acces to health service, quality of health service, health care procces and health care system related with the patients satisfaction. Suggested to doctor have to be on time in service so that service is more optimal.

Use of therapeutic plants by individuals of Indonesia up to this point has been broadly used to beat different sicknesses including avoidance, therapy and mainte-nance of wellbeing. One of the plants that can be utilized to treat hypercholeeroladalah African leaves that contain a gathering of saponin compounds, lactone seskuterpenes, flavonoids, glycosides, tannins and triterpenoids/steroids Riansari (2008). Palm oil (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is one of the plants that has great potential in Indonesia. Oil palm plantations can improve welfare and social status so that it becomes a trend among the people of Indonesia.Palm oil (Elaeis guneensis Jacq.) industrial plants / plantations that become a source of state foreign exchange from the plantation sector. Palm oil plants are useful as producers of cooking oil, industrial oil, and fuel (Dianto et al. 2017).A medication that is frequently used to bring down cholesterol levels is simvastatin, this medication works by repressing the development of cholesterol by restraining the compound HMG CoA re-ductase. Abstract

Hospital quality management is aimed at improving the quality of health services and protecting patients and increasing satisfaction with the use of services in hospitals. In addition, quality management is also related to hospital accreditation which is part of the national hospital quality assurance system. 7 quality management principles developed in ISO 9001: 2015 which include: (1) Customer Focus; (2) Leadership; (3) Engagement of People Process; (4) Approach; (5) Improvements; (6) Evidence-Based Decision Making & (7) Relationship Management. It needs to be implemented and integrated into the hospital's internal quality assurance system as a form of strengthening the standards and criteria that are developed sustainably in the hospital.
