Abstract

The language has an important role in a power. The relation of language and power had existed centuries ago. Language not only reflects the social status, but more than that. The language is used as the symbol of maintaining power. World leaders use the speech as a tool to legitimize power. This is apparent from the order of the sentences and the way they played a series of issues in his speech. As it was done by President, State leaders or a King. Power requires its own way to maintain legitimacy. So the language is viewed can be used as a tool and a symbol of maintaining power. In Javanese language used as a means to differentiate the social classes among the nobility and common people. Blatantly disrespectful language should only be used by those who are included on the nobility. As for the political scene and domination, the language used by President Bush in an effort justification of effort in Kuwait attack upon himself and his allies. While President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono used a speech to the language to clarify the truth of the case of Century Bank. This was done as an attempt to preserve his power by giving information about the sat question. This article truly wanted to give an explanation on the application form of the language as a symbol of the mass and retain power. Through a series of speeches a leader can play a social issue. At the end of this article the author created to provide shared understanding that the potential of the language and symbols of power have been known to the authorities in maintaining his rule until this time.

Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic has been affecting many sectors, especially for the tourism sector itself. As we know, most of the people of Bali Province depend on the tourism sector for their living. In the presence of this pandemic, caused a lot of people to experience the obstacles, such as work from home, unpaid leave, even the termination of employment. In this case, the government of Denpasar city which is the capital city of Bali put a lot of effort to overcome the spread of Covid-19 that happened in that region. Because of that, the researchers take this case at Renon village, Denpasar city from doing research and look at the potential conflict towards organization communication that happened between the people and the authorized party in handling the spread of the virus in that region. Therefore, this research uses field research with a qualitative descriptive case study research method. This research data that used for this research sourced from a field study, which is the result of the interview and the observation with the interviewees, also from the literature that already been published, related, and support this research. The result of this research can be concluded into, that the action from handling the conflict by the authorized party with the people of Renon village who has conflict is by the Integrating and Compromising methods. Therefore, the researchers hopefully can give thought contribution to managing conflict of the organization communication that happened in handling the case of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The management of Instagram social media has become very effective in improving the image of the Regent of Subang Regency in the eyes of the public, which previously had problems during the previous three periods of the Regent's leadership. Managing Instagram is very important to improve the image of the regent and the agency. Prokompim's Instagram is a source of information for the people of Subang Regency, providing information related to the regent's program. The existence of Instagram management makes it easier to communicate with people whose reach is quite far. This research uses a qualitative study with a post-positivist paradigm, testing the validity of the data used through source triangulation and data analysis techniques through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. After three years of managing Instagram, Prokompim Subang has produced effective results in repairing and enhancing the image of the Subang regent in society, as seen from the many responses and activities in the social media space. The social media management carried out by Prokompim Subang is based on leadership, social media, image, and communication media answering all of these things, for example, publications on social media related to achievements so that the public can see the performance of the current regent period, which makes Instagram now as a medium of communication with the people of Subang Regency which is applied to improve its image. In this research process, some limitations can influence the research results, namely the limited research time, the ability of respondents to answer the interview guide, and this research can answer the management of Instagram @prokompim.subang as a medium of communication and information to improve the image of the Regent of Subang Regency in the community in 2018-2023. However, this research could not answer the management of the same Instagram account in improving the image of the Subang district regent.

Abstract

National Public Service Complaint Management System (SP4N) - People's Online Aspiration and Complaint Service (LAPOR!) is a service for conveying all the aspirations and complaints of the Indonesian people through several complaint channels, namely the website www.lapor.go.id, SMS 1708 (Telkomsel, Indosat, Three), Twitter @lapor1708 as well as mobile applications (Android and iOS) that connect the community with the government, especially in Magetan Regency. This research aims to explain how the Diskominfo Magetan Regency implements communication strategies through five stages in the SP4N-LAPOR! Service socialization activities. The importance of this research is based on obstacles related to the not-yet-optimal use of the SP4N-LAPOR! by the people of the Magetan Regency. So, the Diskominfo Magetan Regency a government agency responsible for information management, must carry out outreach activities related to this complaint service. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a post-positivistic paradigm, testing data validity through source triangulation techniques and data analysis, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this research are that the Diskominfo Magetan Regency is considered effective in implementing communication strategies in socialization activities and obtaining results by program objectives through five communication strategies: research, planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting. This success was marked by an increase in the number of complaints recorded on the SP4N-LAPOR! at Diskominfo Magetan Regency compared to the previous year. The limitation of this research is that the researcher could only answer phenomena related to communication strategies carried out by the Diskominfo Magetan Regency and could not answer wonders of communication strategies in other government agencies in socializing the SP4N-LAPOR! Service To the Public in 2022-2023.

Abstract

DPD RI merupakan lembaga legislatif di Indonesia yang berperan penting dalam menyampaikan aspirasi daerah di tingkat nasional. Namun, calon anggota DPD menghadapi tantangan yang lebih besar dibandingkan DPR, seperti dukungan suara yang lebih besar, kewenangan yang terbatas, serta kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang tugas dan fungsi DPD. Tantangan ini semakin berat bagi calon perempuan yang harus menghadapi stereotip gender dan budaya patriarki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi komunikasi pemasaran politik yang digunakan oleh Denty Eka Widi Pratiwi dalam Pemilihan DPD RI 2024 di Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, serta pengujian validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi pemasaran politik Denty sangat efektif, terutama melalui kombinasi personal branding yang kuat, seperti penggunaan simbol kerudung pink, dan pendekatan langsung dengan pemilih. Penolakannya terhadap politik uang serta fokus pada isu kesejahteraan sosial dan ekonomi juga memperkuat citra dirinya sebagai calon yang berintegritas. Studi ini memberikan pemahaman baru tentang bagaimana strategi pemasaran politik dapat mengatasi tantangan lokal, dan menawarkan wawasan praktis serta teoretis mengenai pentingnya integrasi elemen pemasaran tradisional dan modern dalam komunikasi politik. Abstract

Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) is a village business managed by the Village Government, and has the status of a legal entity, which is formed in accordance with the needs and potential of the Village. Technological developments that are increasingly advanced certainly also need to be utilised properly by all circles and institutions, to facilitate life processes. However, in its development, BUMDes Kalurahan Hargorejo did not make good use of the potential of digital media for the branding and marketing of its business units. This condition is due to the lack of access and understanding of BUMDes members to digital media. This certainly has an impact on the lack of optimal business management carried out so that it has an impact on the internal economic turnover of the institution. This activity has activities that are offered as solutions to problems, namely social media optimisation workshops, and assistance in making BUMDes profiles. In addition, there are outputs from this activity, namely scientific publications, mass media publications, and BUMDes profile documents. In the end, it is hoped that this programme can have good sustainability in order to achieve an independent and competitive BUMDes Hargorejo in supporting local economic development

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mendorong kader Nasyiatul Aisyiyah untuk lebih aktif berkontribusi dalam berbagai ruang publik, baik dalam lingkup organisasi, komunitas, hingga ranah kebijakan yang lebih luas. Pelatihan public speaking bagi kader Nasyiatul Aisyiyah memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi dan kepercayaan diri. Peserta menunjukkan kemajuan dalam teknik berbicara, penyusunan materi, serta keberanian tampil di depan umum. Kader juga mulai aktif berdakwah dan mengaplikasikan keterampilan berbicara dalam bidang ekonomi, guna meningkatkan kemandirian finansial. Program ini turut memperkuat organisasi dengan mengurangi ketergantungan pada iuran anggota dan memberikan manfaat sosial yang luas. Pelatihan ini tidak hanya berdampak pada individu, tetapi juga mendorong perubahan positif bagi komunitas secara keseluruhan.  Abstract: This activity aims to encourage Nasyiatul Aisyiyah cadres to be more active in contributing to various public spaces, both within the organization, community, and in the broader realm of policy. The public speaking training for Nasyiatul Aisyiyah cadres has had a significant impact on improving their communication skills and self-confidence. Participants showed progress in speaking techniques, material organization, and the courage to speak in public. Cadres also became more active in preaching and applied their speaking skills in economic activities to enhance financial independence. This program also strengthened the organization by reducing dependence on member contributions and providing broader social benefits. Thus, the training not only had an individual impact but also contributed to positive changes within the wider community.

Abstract

Communication strategies need to be planned and implemented optimally to improve the quality of public services and build good coordination in carrying out public services. The purpose of this study was to find out the public service communication strategy of DISKOMINFO in Jambi City through the SiKesal application for Jambi City in 2021. This study used a qualitative research method with a case study approach with interview and documentation data collection techniques. The results of this study show that the Jambi City Diskominfo implements strategic communication according to the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. This study shows the results of how the communication strategy can affect the goals that have been set. Diskominfo aims to provide maximum public services and get satisfaction from the community; it can be proven that all reports from the people of Jambi City through the SiKesal application in 2021 have been successfully responded to.

Abstract

This paper sought to examine the influence of the political education program on young voters’ perceptions in responding to a threefold issue: democracy, election, and political parties. By applying a quantitative method, this research employs a regional survey to gather data through a series of intensive training for university students with 17 to 24 in age. There are 37 questions, of which 68 valid respondents shall answer before the training (pre-test) and after the training (post-test). The finding reveals that intensive political education has an authoritative influence in transforming young voters’ perceptions of those issues. It can be proven that most young voters’ perceptions increased from pre-test to post-test. When positive perceptions reached 56.76% in the pre-test, they changed dramatically to 94.59% in the post-test. Conversely, negative perceptions declined from 43.24% in the pre-test to 5.41% in the post-test. This indicates that young voters believe in the fruitfulness and effectiveness of the political education program in constructing the way of thinking and behaving comprehensively toward those three issues. Therefore, this paper not only recommends but also strongly demands that all stakeholders organize such a political education earnestly for young voters to generate future generations who participate in consolidating the democratic fate.Artikel ini merupakan sebuah usaha mengkaji pengaruh program pendidikan politik terhadap persepsi pemilih pemula dalam merespon tiga isu, yaitu demokrasi, pemilu, dan partai politik. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, studi ini menggunakan teknik survei yang dilakukan secara regional untuk mengumpulkan data melalui serangkaian pelatihan yang intensif terhadap mahasiswa dengan usia antara 17 dan 24 tahun. Ada 37 pertanyaan di mana 68 responden yang valid harus menjawab sebelum pelatihan (pre-test) dan setelah pelatihan (post-test). Temuan studi ini menunjukkan, bahwa program pendidikan politik yang dilakukan secara intensif memiliki pengaruh yang luar biasa dalam merubah persepsi pemilih pemula terhadap tiga isu tersebut. Ini dibuktikan dengan hasil survei, bahwa mayoritas persepsi responden mengalami peningkatan dari saat pre-test ke post-test. Ketika persepsi positif hanya di prosentase 56,76% saat pre-test, persepsi tersebut meningkat tajam ke prosentase 94,59% saat post-test. Sebaliknya, persepsi negatif turun dari prosentase 43,24% saat pre-test ke prosentase 5,41% saat post-test. Hal ini menunjukkan kenyataan, bahwa pemilih pemula yakin terhadap keberhasilan dan efektivitas program pendidikan politik dalam membentuk cara berfikir dan bertindak yang komprehensif terhadap tiga isu tersebut. Oleh karena itu, artikel ini tidak hanya merekomendasikan tetapi juga meminta secara kuat terhadap sejumlah pihak yang terkait untuk menyelenggarakan program pendidikan politik secara serius terhadap para pemilih pemula agar dapat melahirkan generasi masa depan yang memiliki komitmen untuk mengonsolidasikan nasib demokrasi.

Abstract

Physical restrictions imposed during the pandemic stopped all concert activities, but @ykvvknd kept interacting with their followers. This study uses qualitative descriptive research method, where researchers collect data through field study techniques (interviews, observations, and document collection). These three data were collected through interviews. Our informant is the owner and manager of @ykvvknd content. Observations were made in the comment column for each @ykwknd content and document collection from articles in mass media. Authentic engagement is the only proven way for Instagram account managers to understand Gen Z, listen to them, and start forming relationships. Two-way communication among opinion leaders in their circle of friends is based on a high level of trust in opinion leaders.
