Abstract

This paper comprehensively investigates and compares the performance of various multi-criteria based item recommendation methods. The development of the methods consists of three main phases: predicting rating per criterion; aggregating rating prediction of all criteria; and generating the top-  item recommendations. The multi-criteria based item recommendation methods are varied and labelled based on what approach is implemented to predict the rating per criterion, i.e., Collaborative Filtering (CF), Content-based (CB), and Hybrid. For the experiments, we generate two variations of datasets to represent the normal and cold-start conditions on the multi-criteria item recommendation system. The empirical analysis suggests that Hybrid and CF are best implemented on the normal and cold-start item conditions, respectively. On the other hand, CB should never be (solely) implemented in a multi-criteria based item recommendation system on any conditions.

Abstract

A multi-criteria collaborative filtering recommendation system allows its users to rate items based on several criteria. Users instinctively have different tendencies in rating items that some of them are quite generous while others tend to be pretty stingy.  Given the diverse rating patterns, implementing a normalization technique in the system is beneficial to reveal the latent relationship within the multi-criteria rating data. This paper analyses and compares the performances of two methods that implement the normalization based multi-criteria collaborative filtering approach. The framework of the method development consists of three main processes, i.e.: multi-criteria rating representation, multi-criteria rating normalization, and rating prediction using a multi-criteria collaborative filtering approach. The developed methods are labelled based on the implemented normalization technique and multi-criteria collaborative filtering approaches, i.e., Decoupling normalization and Multi-Criteria User-based approach (DMCUser) and Decoupling normalization and Multi-Criteria User-based approach (DMCItem). Experiment results using the real-world Yelp Dataset show that DMCItem outperforms DMCUser at most  in terms of Precision and Normalized Discounted Cumulative Gain (NDCG). Though DMCUser can perform better than DMCItem at large , it is still more practical to implement DMCItem rather than DMCUser in a multi-criteria recommendation system since users tend to show more interest to items at the top list.

Abstract

Augmented reality (AR) is one of the newest learning technologies besides Artificial Intelligent, Virtual Reality, Virtual World, Alternates Reality Games, and Wearable Computing. E-Government is becoming an evolving academic field and transforming to be E-Governance, E-Participation, E-Service, E-Democracy, E-Voting issues. Therefore, some universities have E-Government course in their curriculum. AR can be one of the learning media to learn and teach E-Government effectively and interestingly. This research aims and contributes to develop a novel model of E-Government learning media using AR. Furthermore, this work has three novelties as follows:First, a method to develop e-Government learning media using AR. Second, a novel model of e-government learning media based on augmented reality technology. Third, the material courses are command centre and public service mall materials based in Surabaya, Indonesia. The new model of learning media using AR consists of main components, i.e., user, devices, AR, and course materials. Additionally, this novel model has some sub-components, such as AR object, marker, text, image, audio, video, and 3D animation. The proposed model has some practical and theoretical implications. For the theoretical implication , it adds a model of learning media for e-government course and extends the body of knowledge for e-government and augmented reality fields. For practice, e-Government courses can uilize the augmented reality application.

Abstract

This research is based on the condition in which printed books and modules were not enabling enough for the students to study the Introduction to Networking materials. The results were the students’ lack of learning motivation and low learning outcomes. One alternative to improve the motivation and interest in learning is using Unity 3D for learning resources. For this research, ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) was used as the development model. The new materials were tested to XI grade TKJ students of SMKN 1 Kamal. Results obtained from survey on small group trials were 93% and for large group trials were 90%. After they were converted to the table of achievement level and qualification, the results acquired very high qualification of 90% -100% with highly feasible description.

Abstract

Desain database tanpa index berdampak pada query SQL tidak optimal sehingga waktu eksekusi aplikasi yang tinggi. Optimalisasi Query SQL memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja sistem basis data. Salah satu teknik utama untuk pengoptimalan query sql adalah penggunaan indeks. Indeks adalah struktur data yang memungkinkan pengambilan data yang efisien dengan menyediakan akses cepat ke subset data tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan dampak penggunaan indeks dengan tidak menggunakan indeks pada optimasi query sql khususnya pada tabel gabungan. Metode perbandingan menggunakan pengujian kecepatan kueri. Ada tiga skenario pengujian yang dilakukan. Skenario pertama adalah pengujian dengan satu gabungan pada dua tabel. Skenario kedua menguji tiga join pada empat tabel dan skenario ketiga menguji tiga join pada empat tabel dengan kondisi. Setiap skenario dilakukan pada tabel yang diindeks dan tabel yang tidak diindeks. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa query dengan indeks mengalami peningkatan kecepatan dibandingkan dengan query tanpa indeks. Pada tiga skenario percobaan diperoleh peningkatan kecepatan waktu query masing-masing sebesar 39,474%, 5,5% dan 43,68%. Menggunakan indeks dapat sangat meningkatkan kinerja query sql dengan mengurangi jumlah data yang diakses dan memungkinkan pengoptimalan query sql yang lebih efisien. Tanpa indeks, query sql mungkin memerlukan pemindaian tabel lengkap, yang menyebabkan waktu eksekusi lebih lambat, terutama untuk tabel yang lebih besar.Kata kunci: Index, Join Tables, Query Performance, SQL Query.

Abstract

AbstrakPembelajaran bahasa pemrograman adalah salah satu mata kuliah dasar untuk mengembangkan kompetensi keahlian pemrograman di bidang teknik Informatika, salah satunya adalah mata kuliah Algoritma dan Pemrograman. Sesuai dengan analisis instruksional, mata kuliah ini memberikan kompetensi tentang konsep dasar Algoritma Pemrograman yang akan menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan dan penerapan mata kuliah-mata kuliah selanjutnya. Banyak mahasiswa kurang memahami dasar-dasar pemrograman, sehingga menemui kesulitan ketika mengerjakan tugas-tugas mata kuliah yang membutuhkan keahlian pemrograman.Melalui inovasi pembelajaran ini, dikembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran baru dan interaktif bagi mahasiswa dengan mengintegrasikan berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi permasalahan yang telah disebutkan sebelumnya. Aplikasi learning by doing interaktif untuk mendukung pembelajaran bahasa pemrograman ini dibangun menggunakan pendekatan Web Framework menggunakan Codeigniter. Aplikasi ini juga memanfaatkan fitur share kode pemrograman yang dikembangkan oleh Trinket. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kebermanfaatan aplikasi ini mampu membuat ketertarikan tehadap belajar pemrograman sebesar 79%. Ketertarikan yang tinggi ini membuat mahasiswa sering mencoba kode-kode program secara mandiri sehingga jumlah mahasiswa yang lulus dengan kemampuan baik selisihnya 14% dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran biasa.Kata kunci: bahasa pemrograman, pembelajaran, learning by doing, trinket AbstractLearning programming language is one of the basic courses to develop the competence of programming skills in Informatics engineering, one of which is the course of Algorithm and Programming.Based on instructional analysis, this lectures provides competence on the basic concepts of Programming Algorithm which will be the basis for the development and application of further lectures. Many students do not understand the basics of programming, so they have difficulty when get assignment that require programming skills.This learning innovation, developed an interactive new learning media that can minimize several factors that affect student learning problems.Application "learning by doing Interactive" to support Learning Programming Language was built using a Web Framework approach using Codeigniter.This application also utilizes the programming code share feature developed by Trinket.The results showed that the usefulness of this application is able to make an interest in learning programming by 79%.This high attractiveness makes students often try the program codes independently and result the ability of the number of students who graduated with a good is 14% compared with ordinary learning.Keywords: programming language, learning, trinket

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenerimaan Siswa Baru (PSB) merupakan kegiatan tahunan yang dilaksanakan oleh semua sekolah di setiap jenjang. Di Kabupaten Bangkalan proses ini masih menggunakan cara manual dalam pelaksanaannya. Selama ini, calon siswa harus datang ke sekolah untuk melakukan pendaftaran. Setiap hari calon siswa harus mengecek apakah namanya tercantum dalam kuota penerimaan atau tidak. Apabila nama mereka tidak tercantum dalam kuota penerimaan, maka mereka harus memilih sekolah baru dan melakukan proses yang sama hingga batas waktu yang ditetapkan. Sistem enrollment merupakan salah satu solusi permasalahan di atas. Enrollment dimulai dari proses pendaftaran online, proses penyeleksian hingga pengumaman hasil seleksi secara online. Pada penelitian ini, proses penyeleksian menggunakan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) dan Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). AHP digunakan untuk menentukan bobot dari kriteria calon siswa yaitu nilai UAN, prestasi individu, dan usia, sedangkan SAW digunakan sebagai langkah akhir penjumlahan bobot kriteria hingga menghasilkan peringkat nilai tertinggi ke terendah calon siswa berdasarkan kriteria tersebut. Calon siswa yang tersisih dari kuota penerimaan diberikan rekomendasi sekolah baru berdasarkan jarak terdekat tempat domosili siswa ke sekolah baru. Data yang digunakan sebagai uji coba adalah data pendaftar siswa baru tahun pelajaran 2012-2013 SMP Negeri 2 Bangkalan dan menghasilkan tingkat akurasi sebesar 91.5%.Kata kunci : AHP,Enrollment, PSB Online, Rekomendasi, SAW. ABSTRACTNew Student Admission (NSA) is an annual activity held by all education institutions. In Bangkalan regency, this activity still uses a manual way in its process. Prospective students should come to the school to register themselves. Every day they should check whether their names are included on the list of the admission quota or not. If their names are not included in the list, then they should choose other school and repeat the same process until the deadline of the admission. Enrollment system is one of the solutions of the above problem. Enrollment begins with an online registration, then a selection process, until the last is the online announcement of the selection result. In this study, the selection process used the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) methods. AHP is used to determine the quality of the prospective students’ criteria, including the national examination score, individual achievement, and age. While SAW is used as the last step, the addition of the criteria quality to reveal the highest until the lowest ranks based on those criteria. The eliminated prospective students from the admission quota would get a recommendation of the new prospective schools based on the distance of their place of residence to the new schools. Abstract

Kebijakan MBKM yang diusung oleh Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, Nadiem Anwar Makarim yang telah diterapkan oleh Universitas Trunojoyo Madura sejak tahun 2020 melahirkan sebuah inovasi untuk kemudahan jalannya program tersebut, yaitu SI-MBKM yang merupakan website yang dirancang bagi  mahasiswa untuk mempermudah dalam mengikuti program MBKM. dan sistem ini akan sangat membantu bagi mahasiswa dalam proses pendaftaran serta monitoring kegiatan MBKM. SI-MBKM termasuk teknologi yang baru diterapkan sehingga menjadi salah satu faktor untuk melakukan pengukuran tingkat kesiapan SI-MBKM dengan Metode Technology Readiness Index (TRI) dimana metode ini menggunakan pernyataan yang dibuat berdasarkan sisi positif dan negatif. Hasilnya yaitu dari sisi mahasiswa MBKM mendapatkan skor 3,74 sedangkan untuk mahasiswa non-MBKM mendapatkan skor 3,52 keduanya dikategorikan tinggi.
