(2) to know the relationship ofvariables that affect the competence of supervisors on the performance of the quality of buildingconstruction in Malang. The research was carried out on several samples of foreman in Malang.The sampling technique used is the judgmental technique (purposive). The statistical tool used inthis study is Structural Equation Model (SEM) to determine the relationship of variables that affectthe foreman’s competence on the quality of construction of the building performance in Malang.The analysis showed that foreman’s competency factors affecting the performance of thequality of building construction in Malang are competency skills, personal and management. Fromthe result of this research noted that there is a significant effect between skills variables, personalvariables and management variable on the quality of buildings construction in Malang. Based onthese result, it is advisable to conduct further research for other types of work that can be seen inmore depth the competence of foreman.Keywords: foreman competence, quality of building construction

Haryono No 167 Malang, Indonesiaazdotagroup@yahoo.comABSTRACTThis study aims to determine how big a role simultaneously and partially between knowledge,skills and attitude of the project manager to project success, and to know the most dominant factorthat affects the success of a project. This research uses survey research conducted at contractorcompanies in Malang. The population in this study is the management of the contractor as theproject manager supervisor leader contractor (director) or authorized by the company. Primary datawas collected through questionnaires. Secondary data obtained from the literature to form iteratur,journals, and data from agencies with an interest in this study, such as professional associations andrelated agencies.The results of descriptive analysis using respondents’ answers showed knowledge variable,variable skills, attitudes and behavior / work commitment, top management variables on averagehave an important influence to determine the success of the project. Test results using regressionanalysis and test assumptions Multiple Linear Regression analysis shows simultaneously betweenthe variables of knowledge, skills, work commitment and top management significantly influencethe success of the project amounted to 0.831. Partially between the variables of knowledge, skills,work commitment and top management significantly influence the success of the project amountedto 0.286, 0.296, 0.280 and 0.147.Dominant variable affecting the level of success of a project is a skill / expertise.Keywords: Competence, Project Manager, Contracting Company

Abstract

ABSTRAK Inovasi beton ringan dibutuhkan untuk mendapatkan suatu bahan struktur yang ringan, kuat, dan biaya murah. Pelat beton bertulang bambu lapis styrofoam merupakan kombinasi efektif sebagai inovasi pengganti pelat bertulang baja, pada komponen non-struktural dan sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kekuatan geser pada pelat dan menganalisis kekuatan pelat dengan penambahan agregat kasar pada campuran spesimennya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dua analisis, yaitu analisis teoritis dan eksperimen. Pada pengujian eksperimen dibuat 10 benda uji untuk uji kuat geser. Ukuran benda uji 40 cm * 80 cm * 5 cm. Variabel penelitian adalah campuran spesimen 1 (1 semen : 4 pasir) dan spesimen 2 (1 semen : 3 pasir : 1 kerikil). Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan penambahan agregat kasar (spesimen 2) menambah kekuatan geser (27,78%) dari kekuatan pelat campuran spesimen 1.Kata kunci: kuat geser, lapis styrofoam, pelat lapis, tulangan bambu. ABSTRACT Lightweight concrete innovations are required to obtain a lightweight, strong, and low-cost structural material. Bamboo reinforced concrete plate with layer styrofoam are an effective combination as an innovative replacement of reinforced plates, on non-structural components. This study aims to analyze shear strength in plates and analyze plate strength with the addition of coarse aggregates to the mixture of the species. This study was conducted with two analyzes, theoretical and experimental analysis. In the experimental test 10 specimens were made for shear strength test. Size of plate sample 40 cm * 80 cm * 5 cm. The research variables were mixed speciment 1 (1 cement : 4 sands) and spesiment 2 (1 cement : 3 sands : 1 coarse aggregate). From the results of this study it can be concluded that the addition of coarse aggregate (speciment 2) adds shear strength (27.78%) of the strength of the mixed plate of species 1.Keywords: shear strength, layers styrofoam, plate layers, bamboo reinforcement.
