Abstract

The Influence of Problem-Based Learning Strategies on News Writing Ability for Class V of SD Negeri 78 Barru, Tanete Riaja District, Barru Regency. Thesis. Department of Primary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. Supervisor I Rosmini Madeamain and Supervisor II Andi Syamsul Alam. This research aims to determine the significant influence of using problem-based learning strategies on the ability to write news for class V of SD Negeri 78 Barru, Tanete Riaja District, Barru Regency. This research is pre-experimental research in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest research. The population of this study was class V students at SD Negeri 78 Barru which consisted of one class of 10 students. The research instrument used was the news writing test. The data obtained was then analyzed using descriptive statistical data analysis and inferential statistical data analysis. The results of this research show that the pretest results, the average student learning score is 53 with categories, very high 0%, high 30%, medium 20%, low 30% and very low 20%. The average score of the posttest results after using the problem-based learning strategy was 88 with the categories very high 80%, high 20%, medium 0%, low 0%, and very low 0%. This figure shows that there is a significant influence of the use of problem-based learning strategies on news writing ability. Based on the description above, it can be concluded that the problem-based learning strategy is effectively used in learning to write news for fifth grade students at SD Negeri 78 Barru, Tanete Riaja District, Barru Regency.

Abstract

The aims of this research include: (1) To find out the forms of marginalization and discrimination experienced by the character Nyai Ontosoroh in Pramoedya Ananta Toer's Romance of the Earth of Mankind. (2) To find out the form of resistance of the character Nyai Ontosoroh in Pramoedya Ananta Toer's Romance of the Earth of Mankind. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The source of data obtained from this research is the book Earth of Mankind by Pramoedya Ananta Toer as primary data. Meanwhile, secondary data consists of information and references obtained scientifically from books, articles, the internet and mass media related to this research. The data collection technique used library, listening and note-taking techniques through critical discourse analysis developed by Sara Mills. The research results show that: (1) There are 6 data on marginalization experienced by the character Nyai Ontosoroh in the novel Earth of Mankind. In the family realm, the father's restriction/marginalization of rights and freedoms has made him a nyai or concubine (purchased slave). (2) There are 8 data on discrimination experienced by Nyai Ontosoroh. In the public sphere, she is seen by the general public as a woman who has no morals and is always looked down upon. (3) there are 11 data on the resistance of the figure Nyai Ontosoroh. Nyai Ontosoroh appears as the antithesis of the bad views about Nyai-Nyai. Nyai Ontosoroh emerged as the first Indigenous woman to fight European legal authority in defending her rights to her children and company.

Abstract

The main problem in this research is how to improve students' narrative writing skills using series of image media. The aim of this research is to improve the narrative writing skills of class III students at SDI Ra'ong, West Manggarai Regency using series image media. This research is classroom action research or what is called CAR (Classroom Action Research). The subjects in this research were class III students at SDI Ra'ong, West Manggarai Regency in the 2023/2024 academic year with a total of 10 students. There are 4 male students and 6 female students. The data collection techniques used in this research are tests, observation and documentation. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes from students from cycle I to cycle II, where in cycle I the percentage of student completion was 30%, while in cycle II the percentage reached 100%. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of class III students at SDI Ra'ong, West Manggarai Regency have increased after implementing the use of series image media.

Abstract

the aim of this research is to describe the meaning contained in the lyrics of the song celengan rindu by fiersa besari through the analysis of erlebnis, ausdruck, and verstehen of wilhelm dilthey's hermeneutical study. This type of research is descriptive using a qualitative research design. The data from this research are the lyrics of the song celengan rindu by fiersa besari. The theory that is the basis of this research uses wilhem dilthey's hermeneutics which focuses on three concepts, namely erlebnis (lived experience), ausdruck (expression), and verstehen (understanding). The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data were analyzed using listening, note-taking and documentation techniques. The results of this research using wilhem dilthey's hermeneutics show (1) the erlebnis concept includes: (a) fiersa besari's life experience (b) the history of the song celengan rindu as viewed from fiersa besari's life experience. (2) the concept of ausdruck in this song is fiersa besari's expression about long distance relationships. (3) the verstehen concept includes: (a) long distance relationships described by fiersa besari through the song piggy bank rindu (b) excessive jealousy that can occur in long distance relationships described by fiersa besari through the song piggy bank rindu.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of the snowball throwing learning model on the results of learning to read Indonesian for grade IV SD students No.198 Inpres Bontorita Takalar Regency. The subjects used in the study were 30 students. This type of research is pre-experimental research in the form of Pre Test Post Test Design, namely an experiment which in its implementation only involves one class as the experimental class without any comparison class (control class).The success of the learning process in terms of aspects, namely: the achievement of completeness of students' classical Indonesian learning outcomes, student activities in learning Indonesian. Learning is said to be successful if the above aspects are fulfilled. The data collection technique used is the score data for reading results which are collected using a reading test.The results of the descriptive statistical analysis using the Snowball Throwing Learning Model for positive reading skills, students' reading skills using the Snowball Throwing learning model show better learning outcomes than before the Snowball Throwing learning model was applied. The results of inferential statistical analysis using the t test formula, it is known that the calculated t value obtained is 11.5444 with a frequency of db = 30–1 = 29, at a significance level of 5% obtained t table = 2.04523. So, t count > t table or the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. This proves that there is influence in applying the Snowball Throwing learning model to reading skills in Indonesian language class IV SD No.198 Inpres Bontorita.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is whether The Power Of Two Method affects the ability to write biographical texts for Class X students of SMAN 19 Gowa. This study aims to determine the effect of The Power Of Two method on the Ability to Write Biographical Texts of Class X Students of SMAN 19 Gowa. This type of research is experimental research with the pre-experimental method, the research design is the one group pretest posttest, which is a type of research that only involves 1 class as an experimental class which is carried out without a comparison group. The sample in this study was class X students totaling 36 students. Based on the results of research and data analysis regarding this statistical comparison, comparisons with categories of learning outcomes and comparisons of completeness levels prove an increase in student learning outcomes in class X SMAN 19 Gowa can be seen from student learning outcomes through descriptive statistical analysis before using the The Power Of Two learning model. the average student score is still below the KKM, which is 63.2 and after using the learning model The Power of Two, the average student score increases above the KKM 84.5. It is known that the Posttest value is 84.5 more than the Prest value which is 63.2. Furthermore, based on the results of inferential statistical analysis using the t-test formula, it is known that the tcount obtained is 3.367 with a frequency of df = 28-1 = 27, at a significant level of 0.05 or 5%, the ttable is 1.701. So tcount> ttable or HO has been tested and H1 is accepted. Based on these results it can be concluded that there is a significant increase in student learning outcomes. This means that the use of The Power Of Two learning method has an effect on the ability to write biographical texts in class X students of SMAN 19 Gowa.
