Abstract

In today's era of globalization and digitalization, the need to understand and recognize language differences is becoming increasingly important, especially with the increasing cross-cultural interactions. Mandarin, as the second international language, one of the languages ​​of the United Nations (UN), and one of the languages ​​with the largest number of native speakers in the world, has a complex writing system consisting of thousands of characters called Hanzi. Each of these characters not only represents a sound but also a specific meaning, making the recognition of Mandarin characters a challenge. In this study, a system was developed to recognize 200 Chinese characters using the EfficientDet method, an object detection model developed by researchers from Google Research. EfficientDet is known for its efficiency in detecting objects with high accuracy while maintaining fast processing speed. In conclusion, the system obtained overall mAP results of 58%, mAR 42.64%, IoU 49.18%, precision 75%, recall 64%, and F1-score 65%.

Abstract

The Student Representative Council of the Faculty of Information Technology, Tarumanagara University (DPM FTI Untar) is a student legislative body that plays an important role in facilitating student aspirations with the faculty. The main problem faced is the lack of integrated aspiration management system and digital organization management. This research aims to develop a web application that facilitates the management of student aspirations, member attendance system, and organizational archive management to increase transparency and student participation. The application development uses the Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology which includes the stages of requirements analysis, interface design, system development, testing, and documentation. The design wants to be built using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. This research also includes an analysis of the DPM FTI organizational structure, database design, and infrastructure specifications needed to support application implementation. The results of this research are expected to optimize the process of managing student aspirations and organizational management of DPM FTI Untar in a more efficient, structured, and integrated manner.

Abstract

The study focuses on the development of a web-based application designed to promote the Glodok Pancoran tourist destination in Jakarta, Indonesia. The primary aim is to enhance visitor experiences by providing comprehensive information on local culture, cuisine, and transportation options. The research employs a systematic design process involving use case, activity, sequence, and class diagrams for process planning, alongside conceptual and logical database design. The application highlights a user-friendly interface with sections dedicated to heritage destinations, culinary experiences, religious sites, virtual tours, transportation, news, and reviews. The application utilizes Next.js for the front end and Golang with MySQL for the back end, adhering to the Agile methodology. Research methods included surveys and interviews with village representatives, which highlighted a significant interest in Chinese culture and cuisine and identified a need for improved information on transportation and local attractions. The project successfully increases awareness and accessibility of Glodok Pancoran, positioning it as a prominent tourist destination.

Abstract

Universitas Tarumanagara, particularly the Faculty of Information Technology, supports the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) industrial internship program to enhance student competencies through partnerships with companies and the provision of accessible information on internship vacancies. However, the current system used for managing these internships faces limitations that impact the effectiveness of industrial internship management. Many processes remain manual, leading to inefficiencies, delays, and an increased risk of data errors, which complicate comprehensive monitoring of student internship activities by both the university and partner companies. To address these issues, a web application is designed to eliminate these limitations and automate manual tasks. This solution aims to enhance the efficiency of internship data management, reduce recording errors, and enable real-time monitoring of internship activities, fostering transparency and accountability. The application design employs the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, specifically the structured and sequential waterfall model. This approach systematically defines requirements from the beginning and ensures that each development stage is completed before progressing to the next. The waterfall model is chosen for its clarity and orderly progression, ensuring that the application effectively meets the needs of all users, including students, faculty supervisors, company mentors, and administrators.

Abstract

This research aims to design a web-based management application for handling the attendance and task management processes for XYZ Buddhist Temple. The current attendance registration process results in inefficiencies, such as long wait times during attendance registration, which causes inconvenience. This application will be designed using design thinking methodology which consists of 5 stages, such as Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. By introducing QR code into attendance registration process, the application will ease the check-in process, enhance data accuracy, and provide real-time access to attendance records for the staff. Additionally, it improves the coordination of staff roles in organizing the puja bakti. The expected outcomes include increased operational efficiency, a reduction in errors associated with manual input, and more organized management of attendees and event-related tasks. This solution can also serve as a scalable framework for similar organizations looking to improve their event management processes.

Abstract

PT Quantum Proprint Indonesia is a company that operates in the printing industry. PT Quantum Proprint Indonesia prints products like business cards, brochures and flyers, posters, calendars, etc. As a company that sells printing services, PT Quantum Proprint Indonesia records every sale for bookkeeping purposes. This process generates a work order, receipts, and bills; all of it is done manually by hand. This presents a few problems, such as the durability of the physical records which are prone to water damage or even general wear and tear, to organizing the records themselves. For example: if a customer wants a repeat order, finding the record with the same order is going to be more difficult with a physical format. Therefore a desktop-based application will be made to alleviate this problem. This application is intended to ease the management of records and increase its accuracy. This application will be made using Java as the programming language with Java Swing as the GUI. MySQL will be used as the database.

Abstract

Tarumanagara University's Student and Alumni Institution has an important role in supporting the development of student potential through administrative management of Student Organization (Ormawa) work program documents, such as the Student Executive Board (BEM), Student Representative Council (DPM), Faculty Student Activity Unit (UKMF), and Faculty Student Association (HIMAF). Currently, the process of submitting administrative documents such as Activity Proposals, Activity Permits (SIK), and Accountability Reports (LPJ) is still done manually, causing delays, the risk of losing documents, and the difficulty of monitoring approval status. To overcome these problems, this research conducted a needs analysis to design an integrated and web-based student organization administration service. The application’s analysis and design leverage Unified Modeling Language (UML) techniques to model system requirements in a structured and detailed manner. UML techniques used include use case diagrams to define functionality, activity diagrams to illustrate process flow, sequence diagrams to show inter-component interactions, and class diagrams to illustrate data structures. This study aims to provide a foundation for developing an efficient student organization administration application, reducing the use of paper, and increasing the accuracy and traceability of documents.

Abstract

PT Sadang Jaya is a snack food production company that has a good reputation in the market, but along with the growth of the company and the increase in the number of distributors, order management which is still done manually via WhatsApp or telephone is becoming increasingly inefficient and prone to errors. This results in irregular order queues and discrepancies with the order that should be, as well as increasing the risk of recording errors that can cause delays in order fulfillment and customer dissatisfaction. To overcome these challenges, it is necessary to implement a B2B (Business-to-Business) eCommerce system that allows business transactions to be more efficient. This research aims to design and develop a web-based online ordering application that not only increases transparency in stock management and reduces recording errors, but also accelerates the order fulfillment process and strengthens business relationships with distributors. By using Angular as a frontend framework and PostgreSQL as a database managed through pgAdmin, as well as applying Agile methodology that allows rapid iteration and adaptation, this application is expected to meet the business needs of PT Sadang Jaya effectively, while utilizing the great potential of B2B eCommerce to expand market reach and increase distributor satisfaction through more integrated services.

Abstract

GKRI Efesus is a church that has worship services such as general worship, youth, communion, and sunday school. There is member and financial data to fulfill the needs of the congregation and the church. Data that must be stored such as member identities, marriage data, baptism data, and church commissions. The caretaker stores the data manually through a book, making it prone to data loss and difficult to read the data. There are two administrators to record the data, namely the membership admin, and the super admin. The web-based data management application will use the PHP programming language and the Laravel framework and using the MySQL database will help process the data. The design method in this application uses the SCRUM method. This application can manage data for church needs such as member data by membership administrators, money data by finance with.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology (IT) has transformed how information is disseminated, including within the religious sector. Cetiya Rumah Dhamma Cibubur, a Buddhist place of worship, faces challenges in managing its activities and information effectively. Currently, information is shared through WhatsApp groups and social media, which is inefficient and limits congregational engagement. This research aims to develop a website-based information system to improve activity management, congregation data, attendance, and donations at Cetiya Rumah Dhamma Cibubur. The Agile model within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) was used for flexible, iterative development. The website was built with NextJS for the front-end, Golang for the back-end, and MySQL for database management. The results show that the website resolves communication and information management issues, offering features like event management, data handling, attendance tracking, and donations. The website is responsive, accessible across devices, and enhances operational efficiency, access to information, and participation in religious activities.
