Abstract

Background: Cigarettes have a vape or electrical cigarette which used in conventional, its ingredients without tobacco but a liquid that is heated and evaporated in various flavors as develop innovation. Indonesia has increase the using vape of adolescent from the tobacco smokers or the vape smokers itself. Objectives: The purpose of this research is analysis of the character, knowledge, and causes of adolescent use vape. Research Metodes: The method of this study is qualitative with a study approach. The subjects are 5 adolescents which used vape and determined by technic of collecting data Snowball Sampling with interview guidelines as instruments. Results: The results of this study showed that adolescent knew and used a vape since 8 to 18 years. They are courier, two students, freelance, and college student. Adolescent knowledge related to vape or e-cigarettes is good and has no effect on the attitude of using e-cigarettes because although adolescents know the dangers of vaping but still use the vape. The Environmental factors such as the influence of friends, the influence of family, and easily to use vape become factors of teenagers using vape, lifestyle factors such as looking impressive when using vape and following the trend into factors of teenagers using vape, then the factor of exposure to the internet through social media becomes a factor of teenagers to use vape. Conclusion: Based on the study is the adolescent under 18 years old should not use the vape. However, the user of the vape is over the 18 years old or do not use at all.

Abstract

Background: plantation activities in the form of harvesting and caring for oil palm require energy or labor or a heavy workload because at the time of these activities' workers need a lot of stamina or energy, especially the production department or harvester section. In connection with these stages, careful handling is needed to prevent work accident disorders including psychosocial disorders in the form of work stress. To anticipate the occurrence of work stress, workers need to be given an understanding of occupational safety and health (K3) through knowledge of factors that cause work stress. Research Methods: quantitative with the type of research that is analytic survey using cross sectional approach. The population in this study were workers harvesting oil palm PT. Cipta Davia Mandiri in East Kutai Regency, totaling 176 people. The sample is 122 respondents. Data analysis using the Chi-Square test. Results: there was an effect of age on the level of work stress in oil palm harvesting workers (p value: 0.000 <: 0.05). There is an effect of working period on the level of work stress on oil palm harvesting workers (p value: 0.000 <: 0.05). There is an effect of workload on the level of work stress on oil palm harvesting workers (p value: 0.013 <: 0.05). Conclusion: age, period of work and workload are factors that cause work stress levels. It is recommended that harvesters avoid work stress, need to create a decent work environment by fostering a family atmosphere and attitude and find solutions to solve problems.

Abstract

Objectives: To determine the relationship between home sanitation and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers in the working area of the Lempake Community Health Center, Samarinda City in 2023. Research Metodes: Quantitative method with cross sectional research design. The research sample was toddlers who had experienced diarrhea with a sample size of 79 respondents. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. Data analysis in the study used the Chi-Square statistical test. Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between latrine cleanliness and the incidence of diarrhea P-value (0,009 < 0,05), there was a relationship between waste management and the incidence of diarrhea P-value (0,046 < 0,05), there was no relationship between the type of floor of the house and the incidence of diarrhea in toddler P-value 90,230 > 0,05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between latrine cleanliness of latrines and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers with a P-value (0,009 < 0,05), there is a relatonship between waste management and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers with a significance P-value (0,046 < 0,05), there is no relationship between the type of floor of the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers with a significant P-value (0,230 > 0,05).
