Abstract

Penelitian ini dipicu oleh kebutuhan akan bahan ajar mata kuliah Matematika dalam Khazanah Islam. Metode yang digunakan adalah research and development atau penelitian dan pengembangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menghasilkan produk, serta menguji produk yang telah dikembangkan. Produk yang dihasilkan merupakan bahan ajar kajian pembelajaran matematika bernuansa islami, yang diharapkan dapat diajarkan dengan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual. Prosedur penelitian dan pengembangan yang diterapkan meliputi tujuh langkah, yaitu: potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, uji coba terbatas, uji lapangan, dan produksi secara terbatas. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Uninus yang telah atau sedang mengikuti perkuliahan Logika dan Himpunan. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi: lembar validasi, angket, lembar observasi kegiatan dosen, kuis, dan lembar observasi aktivitas mahasiswa. Simpulan yang diperoleh adalah, bahan ajar yang telah dirancang: valid, praktis, dan efektif.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students' mathematical understanding in mathematics learning. One alternative to improve students' mathematical understanding skills is the STAD type cooperative learning model (Student Teams Achievement Division). The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the ability of mathematical understanding of students who gained learning with the STAD model and the students who received learning with the PBL (Problem Based Learning). The research method used was the quasi-experimental method with the Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. This research was conducted in one of the Public Middle Schools in Bandung. The population were all eighth grade students, with the sample being students of class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII C as the control class. The instruments used were in the form of tests of mathematical comprehension abilities, and educator observation sheets. Based on the results of the t-test analysis, it was concluded that the increase in the ability of mathematical understanding of students who obtained learning with the STAD was higher than the students who obtained learning with the PBL profiles of students who obtained learning with the STAD included in the high category in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This research is an alternative to overcome the low critical thinking skills, namely the development of evaluation tools to measure student’s critical thinking skills. This research and development begins with determining the research objectives, namely developing a critical thinking ability test and knowing the validity, reliability, discriminating power, and level of difficulty of the test. Critical thinking ability evaluation instrument on comparative material for class VII Junior High School include in Research and Development (RD). The RD model used is the Thiagarajan 3D model, which includes 3 stages namely: define, design, and develop. The instrument in this study were critical thinking skills test and validation sheets. The subject of this research is class VII 31 Junior High School Bandung, totaling 15 people. The assesment instrument developed is in the form of descriptive questions.  The data from the validation of the instrument’s feasibility by the expert is declared valid. The results of the analysis of the validity of the items based on the results of the analysis of the validity of items using the Product Moment correlation technique can be seen that the level of validity of the evaluation instrumen is declared high, while the reability value of 0,72 with a high interpretation. Analysis of the difficulty level of the instrumen obtained an average scor of 0,22-0,54 in medium-difficult category. The discriminatory power of the instrumen shows a sufficient category with an average value of 0,31-0,78.

Abstract

The low ability of students in mathematical problem solving especially to face story question that relating with daily life becomes problem statement in this research. The purpose of this research is to know that increased mathematical problem solving ability of students using Means Ends Analysis (MEA) model is better or not than using problem based learning model (PBL). The approach of this research is qualitative and quantitative by using quasi experimental method. The population in this research is eight grade students of one of junior high school in Bandung. The data were collected by test of mathematical problem solving ability as main instrument and teacher’s sheet observation as supporting instrument. The conclusion of this research is increased mathematical problem solving ability of students using MEA model is better than using PBL model .

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of online and offline learning during New Normal. One of the learning strategies that approach this situation is the strategy Blended Learning. The implementation of this strategy requires learning tools, one of which is an evaluation tool that can be used with the strategy Blended Learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity and practicality of the linear programming material evaluation tool with Blended Learning strategy developed. The type of research used in this study is Research and Development (RD) with method of research Borg and Gall modified by Sugiyono. This research was only carried out until the seventh stage of  ten stages proposed by Sugiyono. The validation stage involves three validators involved to test the assessment instruments and evaluation media that have been developed. Based on the results of  validation, the assessment instrument and evaluation media developed were very good . The trial was conducted on six students in one of the high schools in Garut district. Students show a good response to the developed evaluation tool, so that the practicality of the evaluation tool developed is in the practical category, can be used, and doesn’t need revision.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dan kurangnya pembentukan karakter cinta tanah air serta belum tersedianya Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik terkait kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dan pembentukan karakter cinta tanah air. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan lembar kerja peserta didik berbasis etnomatematika terkait pemahaman konsep matematis dan pembentukan karakter. Pendekatan penelitian secara kualitatif, metode penelitian pengembangan dengan desain penelitian ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Lokasi penelitian di MTs Muhammadiyah Kota Bandung yang dilaksanakan pada tahun ajaran 2022-2023. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VII yang terdiri dari 17 peserta sisik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik dalam pembelajaran matematika. Salah satu alternatif pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis adalah model pembelajaran Think Pair Share berbasis pendidikan karakter percaya diri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran melalui model pembelajaran Think Pair Share berbasis pendidikan karakter percaya dirietode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu (Quasi-Experiment) dengan desain The Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII di salah satu sekolah menengah pertama daerah Cileunyi Kabupaten Bandung tahun ajaran 2022/2023 dengan sampelnya adalah kelas VIII A sebagai kelas kontrol dan Kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis, angket respon pendidik, dan observasi aktivitas pendidik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji Independent Sample T-test, Mann Whitney U-Test, analisis angket dan analisis observasi diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran melalui model pembelajaran Think Pair Share berbasis pendidikan karakter percaya diri lebih baik daripada peserta didik yang memperoleh pembelajaran melalui model pembelajaran Discovery Learning.
