Abstract

The background of this research is the difficulties experienced by students in comprehending comprehensively and and solving problems related to the concept of permutation. Researchers also consider the importance of combinatorial thinking skills of students which in this case need to be optimized. This study aims to make learning design permutation material that can optimize students combinatorial thinking skills. This research was conducted at the place where the author worked in combinatorics and graph classes even semester 2017-2018 school year with 12 participants. This research is a research design consisting of 3 stages. The first stage is preliminary research, researcher analyzes the needs and context of learning activities, studies of literature, and develops a framework of thinking. The second stage is the stage of development, researcher validates the learning design for further revision (improvement), application design in class, and improvement based on meetings. The third stage is the assessment stage, researcher provides evaluation questions to students to find out the results of the application of the design related to the optimization of combinatorial thinking skills. The design results obtained in general are up to set review activities, discussion, self reflection, and evaluation. The second result is that there are 9 students (75%) who master all stages of combinatorial thinking.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi rendahnya kinerja guru dalam melaksanakan tugas dan fungsinya, hal ini terungkap secara nasional dalam uji kompetensi guru yang dilaksanakan pemerintah dan masih banyak kenyataan guru melaksanakan kegiatan mengajarnya saja tidak dengan dedikasi dan inovasi itupun masih banyak yang bermalas-malasan. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui manajemen supervisi akademik yang dilakukan Kepala Sekolah di Sekolah Dasar Negeri, pelaksanaan supervisi akademik dalam peningkatan kinerja guru, untuk mengetahui masalah dan kelemahan dalam melaksankan supervisi akademik dan untuk mengetahui upaya dan langkah perbaikan yang dilakukan pengawas dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di Sekolah manajemen SDN Cintawargi 1, SDN Cintalaksana 1 dan SDN Mulangsari IV Karawang. Penelitian ini berlandaskan teori Tery (2016), teori Robin and Coulter (2009) tentang fungsi-fungsi manajemen, teori supervisi Wiles (2012) Farmer and Farmer (2018) tentang model supervisi,teori Bernardin dan Russel (2012) tentang kinerja. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi, dengan sumber data terdiri dari pengawas, Kepala Sekolah, guru SDN Cintawargi 1, SDN Cintalaksana 1 dan SDN Mulangsari IV Kabupaten Karawang. Hasil penelitian: Manajemen supervisi akademik Kepala Sekolah di SD Negeri Kabupaten Karawang dilakukan untuk mengefektifkan kegiatan kepengawasan dengan melakukan perencanaan terlebih dahulu baik perencanaan untuk pembinaan guru, perencanaan penilaian kinerja guru dan kepala sekolah, pembimbingan dan pelatihan professional guru. Pelaksanaan tentang manajemen supervisi akademik untuk peningkatan kinerja guru, yang lebih mengarah pada penilaian kinerja yang dicapai oleh guru dan kepala sekolah. Upaya dan langkah-langkah perbaikan dari masalah yang dihadapi kepala sekolah dan kelemahannya dalam melaksanakan supervisi akademik untuk peningkatan kinerja guru, yang lebih mengarah pada peningkatan kompetensi personal, kemauan guru untuk termotivasi dan mengubah menuju peningkatan kinerja perbaikan prosedur dan berusaha mengusulkan kepada para pemangku kebijakan untuk mendukung peningkatan profesionalitas guru.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memperoleh konsep desain pembelajaran logaritma yang terintegrasi dengan permainan agar menarik dan menantang untuk peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah design research dengan tahapan Preliminary research, Prototyping stage, dan Assessment phase. Penelitian melibatkan peserta didik sekolah menengah atas dalam melakukan percobaan desain pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, diperoleh gambaran tahapan-tahapan pembelajaran yang baik dengan menerapkan permainan sehingga mampu meningkatkan respons positif peserta didik. Permainan yang dikembangkan mampu memfasilitasi pembelajaran secara intensif, sehingga peserta didik terlibat secara fokus pada pembelajaran sesuai dengan tahapan yang runtut dalam pembelajaran. Permainan yang dihasilkan membantu guru mengembangkan kegiatan apersepsi, kegiatan inti, dan kegiatan penutup dalam pembelajaran logaritma. This study aims to obtain a logarithmic learning design concept integrated with games to make it exciting and challenging for students. The method used in this research is design research with the stages of preliminary design, teaching experiment, and retrospective analysis. The study involved senior high school students in conducting instructional design experiments. Based on the results of this study, a description of the stages of Learning was obtained by applying the game to improve students' positive responses. The games developed can facilitate intensive Learning so that students are involved in a focused manner on learning according to the successive stages of Learning. The resulting design help teachers form apperception, core, and closing activities in logarithmic Learning.

Abstract

This research entitled "Character Education Management in the Development of High School Students' Noble Morals (Qualitative Descriptive Study in SMAN 1 and SMA Islam Qardhan Hasana Kota Banjar Baru)". This study aims to determine and analyze: (1) Planning, (2). Organizing (3). Implementation (4). Evaluation (5). Barriers to implementation (7) Solutions to implementation problems. Three important foundations are used in this research, including theological, philosophical, and six value systems. The theories that underlie this research are management theory and quality theory. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection was carried out by triangulation techniques using interviews, document study, and field observations. With research subjects the principal, teacher. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The main findings of this study were: (1) The planning of character education in the development of noble character in high school has been structured quite well and systematically, but its implementation still faces several obstacles, namely human resources (2). Organizing has been running according to the program with the same principles of understanding, responsible commitment, although not yet supported by adequate job analysis. (3) Implementation has gone well. However, it has not paid attention to the resources owned. (4) Evaluation according to the school work program in the future, however, it has not been followed up with innovative programs that are in accordance with the needs. (5) Obstacles in implementation can be implemented although not evenly distributed (7) . Solutions in implementation can be done to overcome obstacles through a process of coaching and development. Recommendations for this study were conveyed to various parties, including the Principal, so that planning was supported by adequate teacher resources. Organizing should first conduct a job analysis. Implementation should pay attention to the resources owned in order to achieve targets effectively and efficiently. Evaluation is recommended to pay attention to the results obtained during the implementation so that the program is sustainable. It is recommended that teachers continue to improve competencies, both pedagogical, social, personal and professional competencies.

Abstract

This study is following up previous one about the development of Introduction to Elementary Mathematics course materials using character education approach; which had resulted in a material about mathematical logic using character education approach which is valid, practical,  and  effective.    The  subjects are  freshmen of  the  Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Educational Sciences, Nusantara Islamic University, Bandung, Indonesia.  This study employed qualitative action research design with practical action research type.  The action research was carried out in five classroom sessions where every session was divided into four practical action research steps as follows: identifying focus area, collecting the data, analyzing and interpreting data, and developing an action plan. All classroom sessions are carried out by referring to the main materials that were previously developed; and they all implemented contextual approach based on character education stages: moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral actions. This study used the following instruments to gather the data: observation over students and instructors’ activities, questionnaires, and interview guidelines. This study has successfully found that both students’ character development and instructor’s teaching profiles dynamically improve when the instruction session implement materials that integrated character components into mathematical logic materials.

Abstract

Dua kutub persepsi terkait pembelajaran berbasis konstruktivisme dan pembelajaran berbasis behaviorisme melahirkan variasi pada jenis model pembelajaran dengan argumen kelebihan dan kekurangannya masing-masing yang berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir peserta didik berdasarkan klasifikasi dari Hillocks dan Shulman yakni substantive, mechanical-syntactic, formal-rhetorical, dan combine mechanical-formal, metode penelitian melalui studi kualitatif dengan menganalisis jawaban peserta didik yang telah melalui pembelajaran aljabar dasar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Hasil analisis diperoleh temuan kemampuan berpikir peserta didik yang ditinjau dari jenis kemampuan berpikir, peserta didik menggunakan kemampuan berpikir substantive dan mechanical-syntactic dalam menyelesaikan masalah/soal yang diberikan oleh pendidik, kemudian permasalahan pengetahuan awal (prior knowledge) muncul dalam tahapan penyelesaian soal peserta didik, ketiadaan (lupa/tidak tahu) pengetahuan awal menjadikan beberapa soal yang diberikan menemui hasil yang keliru meskipun peserta didik menggunakan salah satu dari dua kemampuan berpikir tersebut (substantive, mechanical-syntactic). Implikasi dari masalah tersebut, peserta didik harus diupayakan melakukan peninjauan ulang (looking back) atas uraian jawaban yang telah dia kerjakan, dengan menganalisis jawaban dari pengetahuan lain (pengetahuan awal) yang mungkin ada dalam tahapan jawabannya.

Abstract

This research is due to concerns in preparing a competent workforce according to the expectations of the business and industry world (DUDI), Vocational Schools need to make new breakthroughs, one of which is the Teaching Factory learning program so that students are more skilled, independent, competitive and entrepreneurial. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze Teaching Factory Learning Management in Growing the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Vocational High School Students with qualitative methods. The results of this study reveal that: (1) Teaching Factory Learning Management Planning in Growing the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Vocational School Students, is in accordance with the needs of the Business/Industry World (DUDI) through link and match collaboration; (2). Organizing Teaching Factory Learning Management in Growing the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Vocational School Students, hierarchically the school principal has carried out an organization that can assist the implementation of entrepreneurial activities in accordance with the planned program; (3). Implementation of Teaching Factory Learning Management in Fostering the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Vocational School Students by forming a small team to assist the task of implementing entrepreneurial activities that are considered to have met the criteria; (4). Evaluation of Teaching Factory Learning Management in Developing the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Vocational School Students conducted by teachers on entrepreneurship activities that are carried out regularly and continue to make improvements and improvements to the learning process on a regular basis; (5). Supporting factors and inhibiting factors for Teaching Factory Learning Management in Fostering the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Vocational School Students where creative and innovative teachers have been able to develop production units, especially Honda motorcycle repair shops, while the constraint on budget allocation is still limited; (6). The concept of Principal Leadership through Teaching Factory Learning Management in Growing the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Vocational School Students, entrepreneurial attitudes have been reflected in students who are practicing industrial work, this can be seen from the ability of students to try something, do not feel satisfied quickly, dare to take risks, and compete to get the best results.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan konsep Geometri Transformasi pada bangunan ikonik Kota Soreang Ibukota Kabupaten Bandung. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan model etnografi. Peneliti berperan sebagai pengumpul data melalui pengumpulan data studi literatur, observasi dan dokumentasi atau bisa dikatakan bahwa penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen penelitian human instrument. Analisis data melalui teknik reduksi data, penyajian data serta pemaparan hasil analisis data. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beberapa bangunan di daerah Soreang seperti diantaranya Gapura Selamat datang di Kabupaten Bandung merupakan salah satu contoh bangunan yang mengandung unsur Geometri Transformasi seperti translasi, refleksi, dilatasi, dan juga rotasi. Selain itu Masjid Agung Al-Fathu Soreang juga merupakan mengandung unsur dari Geometri Transformasi seperti translasi, dilatasi, rotasi dan juga refleksi, atau bisa dikatakan bahwa kedua ikon tersebut isometri. Konsep-konsep Geometri Transformasi yang ada pada beberapa bangunan di daerah Soreang tersebut bisa dimanfaatkan untuk mempermudah untuk mempelajari dan memahami konsep Geometri Transformasi.

Abstract

This research study is motivated by assessments in study groups that tended to be an individual assessment to each student, which resulted to the lack of students’ motivation to teach their friends in the groups who do not understand the material, so the discussion process in learning is less effective. The purpose of this research study is to observe the pattern of effective assessment on the cooperative model learning in terms of student learning outcomes. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with a type of reflection research. The reflection is used to get feedback on the lessons learned, including: 1) Lesson reports 2) Surveys and questionnaires, 3) Audio and video recordings, 4) Observation. Data collection is done by tests, interviews, documentation and observations. The results of the study of previous studies obtained four models of assessment patterns; low levels students assessment pattern, medium levels students assessment pattern, group average assessment pattern, and individual assessment pattern. Based on the results of the analysis, this research study concludes that the effective assessment pattern in achieving learning objectives in cooperative learning is with the group average assessment model.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the mistakes that students did in solving the indefinite integral problems. Such mistakes might occur because of learning problems experienced by the learners. The purpose of this study is to examine the types of learning barriers experienced by learners in solving the indefinite integral problems. This research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were the students of class XII who had experienced the indefinite integral problems. The subject was selected by a purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by using a triangulation technique. The findings showed that the LO experienced by the learners in solving the indefinite integral problems, were: (1) mistakenly understanding the association of derivatives with the indefinite integral, (2) being erroneous in deciphering the indefinite integral problems in the form of algebraic functions (polynomials, roots, and fractions) related to the operations, and (3) the students did not write “+c and dx” in integrating steps and integrating results. The LO focused on epistemological learning obstacle.
