Abstract

Introduction: Early stunting prevention efforts must be made to break the chain of stunting spread. Objective: To find out whether there is an effect of knowledge of the prospective bride and groom before and after being given 1000 HPK nutrition education through presentation media and booklets. Method: Pre Experiment design where there is no control variable. This study used a non-randomized one-group pre-post test design, with 26 respondents with various educational backgrounds. Results: Statistical tests showed that there was a significant effect (p-value 0.000) of giving 1000 HPK nutrition education with presentation media and booklets to prospective brides before and after being given treatment. Conclusion: After being given health education, the average knowledge of the prospective bride and groom increased by more than 50% compared to the average before being given 1000 HPK nutrition education.

Abstract

Isu gizi pada anak sekolah dasar menjadi tantangan serius baik secara global maupun nasional, dengan angka malnutrisi, stunting, dan obesitas yang masih tinggi. Di Indonesia, data SSGI 2022 menunjukkan prevalensi stunting mencapai 21,6%, dan di Sulawesi Selatan sebesar 27,2%. Fokus pengabdian ini adalah pada rendahnya pemahaman anak terhadap pentingnya sarapan dan pola makan seimbang. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang pola makan seimbang melalui pendekatan edukasi interaktif berbasis media video. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Palopo dengan melibatkan 100 siswa kelas 5 dan 6. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pre-test, pemutaran video edukatif dari YouTube, diskusi interaktif, kuis, dan post-test. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan siswa, dari kategori Sangat Baik sebesar 13,9% menjadi 28,3% dan penurunan kategori Kurang dari 13,9% menjadi 5%. Edukasi berbasis video terbukti menjadi strategi yang efektif dan menyenangkan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman anak tentang pentingnya sarapan dan gizi seimbang.
