Abstract

Garbage is a problem that must be faced by the community, because garbage is a form of environmental pollution, where garbage can have an impact on public health, such as; odors, floods, destroy aesthetics, fire, greenhouse effect and so on. Household waste management requires active community participation so that the role of the government does not get heavier. Increase community participation in waste management in Denpasar City. In an effort to build the effectiveness of waste management in Denpasar City, it is necessary to develop a community-based waste management model in Denpasar City. The purpose of developing a waste management model is to actively involve the community in managing waste in Denpasar City. This study uses the Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) method approach by using elements of the affected community, elements of program objectives, elements of indicators to achieve goals, elements of the main constraints and elements of the institutions involved. In compiling the sub-elements from each element, it involves figures, experts, actors and activists in Denpasar City on community-based waste management. The results of the modeling show that the participatory role of the community is very important in reducing waste through reuse, increasing community involvement and implementing 3R activities. The main obstacle in waste management is the limited facilities and infrastructure for waste management and the unclear waste management organization. Possible changes are that law enforcement and waste regulations must be clear and the involvement of all stakeholders in community-based waste management in Denpasar City. Keywords: model; management; waste; society.

Abstract

Water quality management efforts need to be carried out in a sustainable manner to ensure that water resources are free from pollution. Water is an important component in human life, therefore the existence of water in nature must be maintained to ensure the continuity of human life. Decreasing water quality is caused by pollutant loads that enter water bodies due to human activities disposing of waste directly into the water. Batujai Reservoir is one of the vital objects for the survival of the people of Central Lombok. In an effort to control water pollution in the Batujai Reservoir, a model that is capable of managing Batujai Reservoir water is needed in a sustainable manner. The purpose of this research is to develop a model capable of managing the water in the Batujai Reservoir in a sustainable manner. The research methodology uses a quantitative approach using primary data from interviews with figures and experts as well as secondary data from literature studies and previous research data. Data analysis used the Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) approach. ISM is able to simplify complex relationships to be simple and form a hierarchy between existing relationships and be able to describe them in the form of system modeling. The results showed that the water pollution control model in Batujai Reservoir was carried out by involving all relevant stakeholders by placing academics, NGOs and Central Lombok Bappeda as the main drivers of program implementation and using the local wisdom approach. Keywords: pollution, control, water, model, batujai.

Abstract

As a regional income barn, the Nusa Penida Tourism Area needs to be managed comprehensively by involving all available resources, by encouraging new thinking about managing tourism that synergizes with environmental sustainability in the sustainable environment of the Nusa Penida Tourism Area. Tourism can increase economic growth but create a burden on the environment, so that Nusa Penida tourism becomes environmentally friendly tourism to support the development of green tourism. Progress in tourism impacts the environment, causes social and cultural changes in society and impacts the carrying capacity of land and water from the massive tourism development in Nusa Penida. For this reason, it is necessary to formulate a model of environmental management that is relevant and has been developed. This study uses a systems approach with the Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) method to formulate an environmental management model in the Nusa Penida Tourism Area. This method can be used to help a group, in identifying contextual relationships between sub elements of each element that forms a system based on ideas / structures or determinants in a complex problem (Saxena, 1992).The environmental management model in the Nusa Penida was formed based on government initiatives by involving all stakeholders as representatives of the Nusa Penida community and involving other elements such as non-government organizations and universities. In the management of the environment, institutional arrangements that specifically handle the environment and tourism of Nusa Penida must be formed with the government as the initiator and formed in a participatory manner. The recommended model of environmental management needs to be applied carefully and continued with the formation of institutions by involving the affected community sectors in Nusa Penida's environmental management and tourism. Keywords: tourism, model, management, environment, Nusa Penida

Abstract

Environmental water quality is very influential on environmental sustainability and tourism in the Nusa Penida Tourism Area. Changes in environmental water quality are influenced by human activities in utilizing environmental resources. As a developing tourism area, Nusa Penida has a source of environmental water from springs, groundwater and has marine waters with biodiversity that become underwater paradise. The method used by analyzing water quality uses a standardized quality approach based on Bali Governor's Regulation No. 16 of 2016 concerning Environmental Quality Standards and Environmental Damage Quality Criteria and to find out the water pollution index using the approach of the Decree of the Minister of Environment No. 51 of 2004, then compared with environmental water quality using environmental water quality tests that have been carried out in the Study of Analysis Regarding the Environmental Impact of the Nusa Penida Tourism Area in 1998.Tests for the quality of sea water, well water and spring water in 2019 each showed relatively better results compared to the results of quality tests for sea water, well water and spring water in 1998. Influential parameters The index of sea water pollution, well water and spring water in Nusa Penida are turbidity parameters, free ammonia (NH3-N) dissolved residue (TDS) and total coliform, respectively. Keywords: environment; quality; water; tourism; Nusa Penida.

Abstract

Water is an essential requirement for human life. Maintain water availability, both in terms of quality and quantity, in relation to the surrounding environmental conditions. The socio-cultural conditions of the people of Nusa Penida are very much influenced by the presence of water, even social conflicts occur because of the water crisis. The main problem with drinking water raw sources is the availability of water sources which continues to decline from year to year, while water demand continues to increase due to population growth. Areas that have limited water resources will cause economic resources to be used to meet water needs. As an area that has limited water resources, Nusa Penida has springs that are mostly difficult to reach and access by the community. Two springs with quite large discharge are Penida Spring and Guyangan Spring which have been distributed to the community and to fulfill tourism needs. This study aims to determine the feasibility of Penida and Guyangan Springs as a source of drinking water based on Governor of Bali Regulation Number 16 of 2016 concerning Environmental Quality Standards and Standard Criteria for Environmental Damage and to determine the potential sources of pollutants for these two springs. This study uses a quantitative approach combined with primary data sources from direct observations in the field and uses secondary data sources from literature and previous research. The results showed that the Penida and Guyangan Springs were in good condition and met quality standards. Potential sources of pollutants from Penida Springs come from residential activities and tourism activities, while Guyangan Springs does not have pollutants because they are located in a place that is difficult to reach and is in the bowels of Nusa Penida Island. Abstract

Seaweed cultivation is one of the economic resources of the Nusa Penida community. This research determines the condition of Nusa Penida's waters to support the existence of seaweed cultivation. This research uses a quantitative approach to the water conditions of Nusa Penida. The results of the pollution index calculation show that the quality of sea water on the coast of Nusa Penida is in good condition and very good for seaweed life in Nusa Penida waters which can be seen from the results of physical, chemical and microbiological parameter tests. Parameters that influence the sea water pollution index are total disolved solids parameters, ammonia and nitrite in Jungutbatu sea water, Nitrite in Toyapakeh sea water, total disolved solids, Ammonia and nitrite in Penida sea water, Nitrite in Buyuk Kutampi sea water, Ammonia and Nitrite in Sampalan sea water, and Nitrite. in Suana sea water.
