Abstract

This study entitled the effect of the effect of several types of organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of various types of manure on the growth and yield of mustard greens and to find out which manure gave the best growth and yield of mustard greens. This study used a randomized block design (RAK) method using various kinds of organic fertilizers, with 6 levels P0 (without fertilizer), P1 (cow manure 50 g / 10 kg soil), P2 (goat manure 50 g / 10 kg soil), P3 (chicken manure 50 g / 10 kg soil), P4 (50 g / 10 kg of soil vermicompost) and P5 (50 g / 10 kg of soil mixed fertilizer, namely 12.5 g of cow manure + 12.5 g of goat manure + 12.5 g of chicken manure + 12 vermicompost). ,5 g). The authors collected data from the parameters of plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands) leaf area (cm), total plant fresh weight (g), and total plant dry weight (g). Data is taken from each parameter. The treatment of giving type of organic fertilizer has a very significant effect on the growth and yield of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.). The mixed organic fertilizer treatment gave the best growth and yield of green mustard (Brassica juncea L.) at a total fresh weight of 38.79 g and a total plant dry weight of 7.53 g

Abstract

The population of green leafhoppers Nephotettix virescens, from the nursery to the end of the vegetative phase it needs to be monitored and controlled to avoid and suppress the incidence of tungro. Integrated pest control based on bioecology by suppressing the use of pesticides, suitability of varieties and management of natural enemies has the potential to build a sustainable agroecosystem. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of population development of green leafhoppers and various types of predators in several rice varieties so that it becomes important information in determining the types and proportions of varieties, monitoring the density of green leafhopper populations in relation to the incidence of tungro. The study was conducted in Subak Alis Bintang, Sulahan Village, Susut District, Bangli Regency, by using an observation method to determine the presence and development of green leafhopper populations and their predators in IR 66 varieties. The results showed that the pattern of green leafhopper population increased during the vegetative phase (three to six MST) and decreases in the generative phase (seven to eight MST). The level of population density of green leafhoppers is not influenced by the resistance of varieties. In general, the pattern of population density fluctuations of predators does not follow the pattern of population density fluctuations of green leafhoppers in each variety. Based on the index value, diversity of predators above the index value of 0.91 indicates the opportunity for the conservation of natural enemies in biological control by focusing on identifying predatory functional responses to target pests. Therefore also used with various types of potassium fertilizer doses to measure the level of green leafhopper attacks.

Abstract

Water spinach (Ipomea reptans Poir) is a vegetable plant that is widely traded and highly favored by consumers, kale contains vitamins A, B, C minerals and fiber, especially iron, and has an important meaning in fulfilling food nutrition. The use of mulch in the cultivation of horticultural crops is something that is absolutely necessary. There are so many benefits that are obtained by farmers, including easing the work of farmers in cleaning weeds. The research objectives were: (1) to determine the effect of the use of rice straw mulch on the growth and yield of land kale, (2) to determine the optimum dose of rice straw mulch on the growth and yield of land kale. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 6 treatments which were repeated 4 times. The data were analyzed using ANOVA or analysis of variance and if they were significantly different, the LSD test was continued with 5%, to find out the best rice straw dose for each treatment, The use of straw mulch gave a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of weeds, fresh weight of plant crown, fresh weight of plant roots, oven dry weight of plant crown and oven dry weight of plant roots, growth and yield of land Water spinach (Ipomoea reptans poir) at mulching straw with a weight of 500 g (M5) per polybag gave the highest yield with a fresh weight of 14.75 g of plant crown and 2.07 g of oven-dry weight of the plant canopy.
