Abstract

Patient satisfaction is an element that is often used as a benchmark in assessing the quality of service in a hospital, so that every hospital tries to improve the quality of hospital services in order to give a good impression on patients. The quality of pharmacy services in hospitals is very influential on the quality of patient health . Patient health quality is related to the level of patient satisfaction with pharmaceutical services. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of patient and community satisfaction inpatient and outpatient care for pharmacy services in Teungku Peukan Regional Hospital, Aceh Barat Daya. This study used a non-experimental descriptive study, with a population of 200 people, the total sample in this study was 133 respondents. This research was carried out in March to May 2018 in Teungku Peukan Aceh Barat Southwest Hospital. How to collect data by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Patient satisfaction is assessed from the results of questionnaires which are viewed from 5 Servqualya dimensions namely Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Empathy, and Tangibles. Satisfaction level analysis was carried out by calculating the average performance and expectations. The results showed that the average value of satisfaction and expectations suitability> 75% in each dimension namely 94.90% reliability, 91.17% responsiveness, 90.59 certainty %, empathy 93.54%, and tangible 89.82%. So, the level of patient and community satisfaction inpatient and outpatient care for pharmacy services in RSUD Teungku Peukan Aceh Barat Daya is satisfied. Patients and the community are satisfied with the services provided by the pharmacy installation staff of Teungku Peukan Aceh Barat Daya

Abstract

Skin care is needed so that the skin does not become dry, rough, and dull. The way to deal with dry skin is to use a scrub or use a moisturizer such as lotion. One of the active substances contained in lotion preparations is antioxidant compounds. Avocado and aloe vera extracts have antioxidant activity. Avocado and aloe vera have moisturizing benefits. In this study, both types of extracts were formulated into lotion preparations. Avocado and aloe vera extracts were made by maceration method using 70% ethanol as solvent. The extract was formulated with 3 variations, namely the control formula (F0), the avocado extract formula with a concentration of 5% (FI), and aloe vera with a concentration of 10% (F II). The lotion was tested for physical properties including pH, homogeneity, stability, spreadability and irritation tests. The results showed that the lotion containing avocado and aloe vera extracts with storage for two weeks was stable. Does not change shape, smell, color, and does not irritate the skin

Abstract

Katuk (Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr.) is a plant that has secondary metabolic compounds with various potentials and contains several chemical compounds, including papaverine alkaloids, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, saponins, flavonoids and tannins. Katuk leaves can work as antioxidants because they contain phenolic compounds, namely flavonoids. The potential of katuk leaves is also supported by research on pharmacological activities as antibacterial, antihypertensive, antihyperlipidemic, anti-infective, anti-inflammatory, antianemic and increasing milk production. The purpose of this study was to determine whether katuk leaves can be formulated in the form of an ointment. Ointment is defined as a semi-solid preparation that is easily applied and used as an external drug. Ointment is also one of the dosage forms with a semisolid consistency that is oily and generally does not contain water and contains the active ingredient dissolved or dispersed in a vehicle. This study used 4 treatments with various concentrations, namely FO: control formulation of ointment base, FI: formulation of katuk leaf extract ointment preparation with 10% concentration, FII: formulation of katuk leaf extract ointment preparation with 15% concentration, FIII: formulation of katuk leaf extract ointment preparation with a concentration of 20%. Evaluation of the ointment using organoleptic tests, homogeneity, pH, spreadability, stability and irritation. The results of the evaluation carried out on the ointment preparation were stable and did not irritate the skin.

Abstract

Traditional medicine or herbal medicine is widely used by ordinary people because it is considered safer than the use of modern medicine. This is because traditional medicine has fewer side effects than modern medicine. The purpose of this study was to observe the antipyretic effect of the ethanolic extract of basil leaves on mice. The experimental design in this study used a completely randomized design (CRD) where there were 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments in this study were control/P0 (not vaccinated and given extract), P1 (mouse vaccinated and given 0.5 ml of basil leaf extract), P2 (mouse vaccinated and given 0.7 ml of basil leaf extract), P3 (mouse vaccinated and given aquadest). The results showed that the body temperature of the mice that had increased due to the DPT vaccine had decreased after being given basil leaf extract. The P2 treatment, namely the extract treatment as much as 0.7 ml gave a significant effect on reducing the body temperature of mice

Abstract

Pineapple is one of the fruits consumed by the community. Pineapple produces waste in the form of pineapple weevils which are thrown away for nothing. Pineapple weevil can be used as a medium for soaking soybeans in the process of making tempeh. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of pineapple weevils to increase tempeh protein content, to determine the duration of soaking soybeans in pineapple cone juice which was effective in increasing tempeh protein content, and to determine the feasibility of a reference from the results of research on the effect of soaking soybean seeds in pineapple weevil juice to increase protein content in tempe. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications, namely P1 (5 hours of immersion), P2 (6 hours of immersion), P3 (7 hours of immersion), P4 (8 hours of immersion), P5 (9 hours of immersion). ) in pineapple weevil juice, and P0 (12 hours of immersion in distilled water as a control). Protein content testing was carried out using the Kjeldahl method through a process of digestion, distillation, and titration carried out at the Goods Quality Testing and Certification Center (BPSMB). Analysis of the protein content data obtained used the ANOVA method and carried out the BNJ further test. The results of data analysis showed an increase in protein content in tempeh soaked with pineapple weevil juice at P1 of 17.39% and showed that the most effective soaking time was 5 hours in pineapple weevil juice

Abstract

Standardization is the process of determining properties based on certain parameters to achieve the same degree of quality. The extract was standardized with two parameters, namely specific and non-specific parameters. So that the efficacy and quality of this soka flower extract can be guaranteed, it is necessary to meet a quality standard for the product/extract material by standardizing the extract. Standardization is carried out so that uniform raw materials can be obtained which can finally guarantee the pharmacological effects of these plants. Standardization is the process of guaranteeing the final product (simplicia, extract or herbal product) to have certain parameter values ​​that are constant and predetermined. The research method is by testing various parameters on the extract, starting with determining the species of soka flower, then calculating the yield, organoleptic testing, water content, water soluble compounds, ethanol soluble compounds. The average water content test result is 9.54% and is still within the permissible standard, the water content in medicinal preparations including extracts should not exceed the 10% limit. Based on the results of determination of water soluble extract content of 20.7% and ethanol soluble extract content of 35.5%. The ethanol soluble extract content was higher than the water soluble compounds, thus the semi-polar compounds in the extract were higher than the polar compounds

Abstract

Masyarakat khususnya ibu-ibu di Desa Beurangong Aceh Besar biasa menggunakan obat-obatan secara empiris. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari sebagian pekarangan rumah mereka ditanami dengan tanaman toga. Akan tetapi, masyarakat lain belum semuanya mengetahui jenis-jenis tanaman toga dan manfaat yang diberikan tanaman toga. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan oleh dosen-dosen Akademi Farmasi YPPM Mandiri sebagai wujud tri dharma perguruan tinggi. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh ibu-ibu di Desa Beurangong Kecamatan Lam Ateuk Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah dengan memberikan penyuluhan secara oral dan melakukan diskusi berupa tanya jawab. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah sebagian masyarakat telah terbiasa menanam tanaman toga di pekarangan rumah. Ada sekitar18 jenis tanaman yang banyak di tanam di pekaranga rumah masyarakat.

Abstract

Medicinal plants have been known and used throughout the world for thousands of years. One type of plant that is often used as medicine is papaya leaf. The purpose of this study was to provide analgesic treatment with the hot stimulation method by taking samples of papaya leaf extract to be given to mice with a sonde method of oral administration. The design in this study used a completely randomized design (CRD) using 9 mice. Mice were divided into 3 groups, namely group 1 which was treated with 9 ml of papaya leaf extract, group 2 was mice that were given control treatment or only given distilled water and group 3 was mice that were injected with tramadol. All treatments were repeated 3 times. Data were analyzed descriptively and presented in tabular form. The results of the research on the anachetic effect that occurred by administering tramadol and papaya leaf extract were tested by heating mice showed that the treatment of jumping legs, licking feet, and not moving after 8 days of administration of tramadol drug liquid, papaya leaf extract and aquadest. Papaya leaves are proven to have analgesic effect by proving the treatment of mice that try to always lick their feet because they are exposed to hot stimuli.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia. Plants that can reduce blood sugar levels in alloxan-induced mice are Rambai peel (Baccaurea motleyana). The safety of the use of plants as herbal medicine must be known so as not to cause unwanted harmful effects. In this study, the relative weight of organs and changes in organ appearance were observed macroscopically. The design in this study was a completely randomized design with 24 male mice divided into 6 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment consisted of a negative control (Aquadest), a positive control (glibenclamide), peel Rambai ethanol extract with graded doses of 200 mg/kg, 400 mg/kg, 800 mg/kg and 1600 mg/kg. , given orally. The results showed that the ethanol extract of Rambai peel had no significant effect on the relative weight of the heart, kidneys and spleen, but had a significant effect on the relative weight of the liver. The results of this study also showed that no color changes were seen in any of the mice organs. So, this study showed no visible macroscopic changes in the organs, so that administration of Rammbai ethanol extract gradually causes fewer toxic effects and is still considered safe in experimental animals.
