Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the process and impact of community empowerment in the development of an independent village of biogas energy in Mundu Village, Tulung District, Klaten Regency. The results showed that community empowerment in Mundu Village, Tulung District, Klaten Regency has been going on since 2014. Until now, there have been 40 more digester installations installed. Empowerment is carried out with the help of NGO field facilitators and has received several awards. The stages of empowerment are carried out by raising awareness, capacitating and empowering them. Awareness is carried out by making the village aware of the potential of livestock manure waste and overcoming the problem of air pollution caused by slag waste. Capacitating is carried out by providing capacitance to humans (individuals), organizations and value systems, providing guidance in the form of training activities. Trust is given by giving the community full authority to manage biogas. The impact of this empowerment is a change in mindset, work patterns, value systems and business systems.

Abstract

Productive economy and creative economy serve as the basis for developing tourist villages. The development of a tourism village needs to pay attention to the local wisdom contained in the location, this aims to show the identity of the tourist village and show its own uniqueness that can be used to differentiate it from tourist villages in other places. The main problem faced by MSME actors in Tambakmerang Village is marketing which can only reach around the area within one sub-district and sub-district nearby. The PKM (Community Partnership Program) team facilitates the introduction of their products by introducing web site technology and social media so that MSME actors can be widely known. Furthermore, the PKM team will also conduct training and mentoring to support online sales. In order to carry out the Community Partnership Program for Taro Chips craftsmen, it is carried out by combining various methods including: socialization and training, mentoring, Optimizing efficient technology transfer, and Optimizing the use of information technology. Technically, there are several activities of this Community Partnership Program, which are as follows: (1) introducing appropriate technology and training; (2) facilitating cooperation between MSME actors in Tambakmerang Village, (2) facilitating web sites and social media to introduce them to the public; (3) developing institutional capacity.

Abstract

In Margorejo Subdistrict, Pati Regency, researchers sought the opinion of farmers on the IPDMIP program. (1) to find out how the farmers view the IPDMIP program, and (2) to see the relationship between the perception-forming elements and the farmers' perspective on the IPDMIP. In this study, the main data collection technique was through an interview procedure which included the use of a questionnaire. Spearman rank correlation was used to test the data. Based on the findings: 1) Farmers' perceptions of the IPDMIP program are positive, as evidenced by their perceptions of the benefits of the program, IPDMIP field school activities, and technological innovation; 2) perception-forming factors that have a significant relationship are age and formal education; 3) Perception-forming factors that do not have a significant relationship are land area, income, environment, social status, and the role of agricultural extension workers.

Abstract

Organic farming is an agricultural system that is growing rapidly among farmers. This is because agricultural land has become unproductive due to the use of chemicals since the green revolution movement was carried out. Efforts to restore land productivity by using organic fertilizers. Champion organic fertilizer developed by the Agricultural Training Center. The Agricultural Training Center provides counseling to various regions regarding organic fertilizer champions. The Agricultural Training Center assists in the form of production facilities, namely nitrobacter bacteria. This study aims to determine the factors that form the motivation of farmers in the use of organic fertilizer champions in Jaten District, Karanganyar Regency; analyze the level of motivation of farmers in the use of organic fertilizer champions in Jaten District, Karanganyar Regency; determine the relationship between factors forming motivation with farmers' motivation in the use of organic fertilizer champions in Jaten District, Karanganyar Regency. This method uses a basic quantitative research method with survey techniques and sampling using a census. Jaten Subdistrict was chosen as the research location because Jaten Subdistrict is a Subdistrict whose farmers use organic fertilizer champion with a total of 40 farmers. The data analysis method used was Rank Spearman. The results showed 1) factors forming the motivation of farmers age, formal education, non-formal education, number of family members, social environment, and economic environment. 2) The level of motivation of farmers in the use of organic fertilizer champions is in the high category. 3) Variables that relate the factors forming motivation with motivation are age, formal education, non-formal education, social environment, and economic environment. While the number of family members is not significantly related.

Abstract

IP400 program is one of the efforts to increase national rice production. Farmer participation is an indicator of the success of the IP400 program. This study aims to describe the socio-economic characteristics of farmers, determine the level of farmer participation, and analyze the relationship between the socio-economic characteristics of farmers and the level of farmer participation. The method used is a descriptive quantitative data analysis method in the form of rank spearman. The results showed that the majority of respondents were of productive age, had junior high school education, attended 5-6 counseling sessions and 3-4 training sessions a year, cultivated 3,001-4,500 m² of land, worked as farmers for 16-25 years and implemented IP400 1-2 years, an average income of IDR 5,000,000,00 per planting season, the role of extension agents as motivators, educators, and dynamists is very high, while the role of extension workers as facilitators is quite high; the level of participation is categorized as high at all three stages; there is a significant relationship between the socio-economic characteristics of farmers and the level of farmer participation, except for the formal educationf and land area.

Abstract

Plant-based pesticides are environmentally friendly and sustainable pest control technologies. However, the awareness of soybean farmers in Ngaringan District, Grobogan Regency to apply plant-based pesticides is still low. The low application of plant-based pesticides is influenced by the characteristics of the farmers. This research aims to identify the characteristics of soybean farmers; identify the stages of decision-making among soybean farmers in applying plant-based pesticide technology; and analyze the influence of soybean farmer characteristics on the decision to apply plant-based pesticides in Ngaringan District, Grobogan Regency. The research uses a quantitative method with a survey technique. The research was carried out purposively in Ngaringan District, with a sample of 70 soybean farmers selected through proportional random sampling techniques. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression tests with IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The results of the research show that the majority of soybean farmers in Ngaringan District are in the early elderly age category, very small land areas, formal education at the high school level, very low non-formal education, highly experienced in soybean farming, and high level of cosmopolitanism; the decision-making process for the application of plant-based pesticide technology is categorized as high at the knowledge and persuasion stages, while at the decision, implementation, and confirmation stages, it is categorized as very low; and the farmer characteristics of land area and non-formal education have a significant effect on the decision to apply plant-based pesticides, while age, formal education, farming experience, and cosmopolitanism do not have a significant effect.
