Abstract

Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in children due to malnutrition for a long time. Thus, the child is shorter than normal children his age and has a delay in thinking. Generally caused by food intake that is not in accordance with nutritional needs. Stunting is a major nutritional problem in Indonesia. Stunting can be caused by lack of nutritious food intake, exclusive breastfeeding, low birth weight, and a history of infection. Stunting can have an impact on motor and verbal development, as well as an increase in degenerative diseases. The purpose of this study is to increase public knowledge about the dangers of stunting and how to prevent it. This activity was carried out in Rantau Mapesai Village, Rengat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The method used in this service activity is a qualitative method. Data obtained from interviews in the form of parents' last education level and family income. The data collection technique was carried out by observing the environment of the area affected by stunting and documenting during activities at the Melur Posyandu. Next is a literature study to collect data related to stunting from previous journals.

Abstract

This research was conducted because Sungai Pakning sub-district, Bengkalis Regency, was one of the areas that experienced land and forest fires that occurred in Riau Province in 2015. So far, peatland management has often failed both by the government and companies. One of the failures is that they only focus on restoring land and neglect community empowerment. With the independent peat village program created by PT. Pertamina RU II Production, Sungai Pakning, Bengkalis Regency. Among the self-sustaining peat village programs, there is an environmental conservation program that has become the center of attention for environmentalists, namely the development of peat forest into a peat arboretum. This study aims to determine the institutional capacity in the development of the peat arboretum and to find out what are the supporting factors for institutional capacity in the development of the peat arboretum in Sungai Pakning, Bengkalis Regency. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. Data obtained through interviews and field observations. The results of this study indicate that the institutional capacity measure according to Damanik and Weber has shown good capacity in the aspects of leadership and coordination, aspects of external partnerships, aspects of potential development, and aspects of promotion. In a good institutional capacity supported by 1) facilities and infrastructure, which is carried out continuously, 2) good cooperation between various parties or institutions involved in the development of the peat arboretum.

Abstract

Urban farming is a supporter of aspects of the beauty of the city and the feasibility of using sustainable spatial planning. Urban Farming is also carried out to increase income or activities to produce foodstuffs for family consumption. The methods used in this work program are: 1) Socialization or education approach, 2) Participatory Rural Aprasial which involves the community in all activities, 3) Participatory Technology Development which utilizes appropriate technology to integrate with science and local wisdom, namely plant cultivation with the concept of urban farming. The Measuring Instrument used in this report is a descriptive measuring tool, namely observation. The observations made to be a measuring tool in this report are to see the level of response from the community. Another observation is to look at the level of participation from the community. Finally, the observation we made was by looking at the level of interest from the community. This activity is in seeing the success of the activities carried out, namely by looking at changes in the attitudes of the people of Kampung Baru Village. The expected result and achievement is an increase in the knowledge and skills of the people of Kampung Baru Village in maintaining their family's food security, through practical vegetable crop farming using the concept of urban farming.

Abstract

Learning systems in the 21st century require a variety of interactive learning media. The purpose of this study is to develop an interactive microsoft power point media based on visual basic for application on vibration, wave, and sound material. This study method is a type of research and development (RD) using the ADDIE development model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The population in this study at the field trial stage were all students of class VIII SMPN 1 Logas Tanah Darat. The sampling technique for this study used purposive sampling, namely determining the sample according to research needs. The research sample at the field trial stage consisted of 28 students. The data collection technique in this study was in the form of distributing questionnaires and administering tests. The validation data analysis technique uses the Aiken V validity index formula, while the analysis of practicality and effectiveness test data uses the average formula. The results of this study indicate that the results of the overall validity test index get an Aiken V validity of 0.86 with a high validity category. In addition, the results of the practical test analysis reached 83.25% in the very practical category. The results of the analysis of effectiveness get the proportion of 82.14% so that the developed media is effective. Thus it can be concluded that the microsoft power point interactive media based on visual basic for application developed are valid, practical and effective

Abstract

Knowledge of mathematics, didactics, and technology that must be owned by pre-service and in-service teachers, previously measured by the classical test theory (CTT), but has limitations. Study aims to determine that knowledge with a more accurate prediction method using the item response theory (IRT) from the Rasch model. Study used a survey of mathematical and didactic knowledge, and a survey of technological knowledge with a scale. The subjects were 38 second- year students from an elementary school teacher education institution in Pekanbaru. This study indicates that pre-service teachers have relatively sufficient mathematics and technological knowledge, but they were lack of didactic knowledge. Analysis of pre-service teachers’ knowledge using the Rasch model can provide an overview of the difficulty level of the items given, the level of pre-service teachers’ knowledge, and the interaction between respondents and between questions. Institutions need to develop learning instruction for pre-service teachers that can support the strengthening and development of their mathematical, didactic, and technological knowledge.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah layanan bimbingan klasikal berpengaruh terhadap Pengambilan keputusan karir siswa tingkat SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. menggunakan  metode eksperimen dengan desain one grup pre test-post test , dengan rancangan satu kelompok subjek. Adapun pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran skala pengambilan keputusan karir yang selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan uji wilcoxon dengan bantuan program SPSS Versi 25. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan tingkat Pengambilan keputusan karir siswa sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan bimbingan klasikal. Kemudian didapat pengaruh layanan bimbingan klasikal terhadap Pengambilan keputusan karir siswa dengan perolehan kontribusi sebesar 36% sisanya 64% dipengaruhi  oleh faktor faktor lainnya seperti pengaruh media lain, teman sebaya, dukungan orangtua, kestabilan emosi, kontrol diri, dan perencanaan karir.
