Abstract

This study aims to describe in detail how the personality competencies of primary education teacher candidates for SD FKIP, Riau University. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The research was conducted at PGSD FKIP, Riau University, involving 120 active students. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study is to calculate the percentage of data from each indicator, then interpret the data percentage score and analyze each indicator in depth. The results of this study indicate that the personality competencies of primary school education teacher candidates 70,10% with a good category. This research is expected to be an evaluation of various parties in the personality of primary school education teacher candidates at FKIP, Riau University. This research is also expected to be a study material for other researchers in analyzing and developing student personality competencies in preparation for becoming primary school education teacher candidates. Keywords: Personality competence, survey, pre-service elementary school teacher ========================================================================================================Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara detail bagaimana kompetensi kepribadian mahasiswa calon guru SD FKIP Universitas Riau. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Penelitian dilakukan di PGSD FKIP Universitas Riau dengan melibatkan 120 mahasiswa aktif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menghitung persentase data dari setiap indikator, kemudian menginterpretasi skor persentase data dan menganalisis setiap indikatornya secara mendalam. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi kepribadian mahasiswa calon guru SD 70,10% dengan kategori baik. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi evaluasi berbagai pihak dalam kepribadian mahasiswa calon guru SD di FKIP Universitas Riau, penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan kajian bagi peneliti lain dalam menganalisis dan mengembangkan kompetensi kepribadian mahasiswa dalam persiapan menjadi calon guru SD. Kata kunci: kompetensi kepribadian, survei, mahasiswa calon guru SD

Abstract

This research aim was to test the validity of the integrated physics module for natural disasters and mitigation for middle schools. This research uses research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Specifically for this research, it is limited to development. Specifically for this research, it is limited to development. The analysis in the analysis phase includes material analysis and regional potential analysis. The material analysis results show that several materials can be integrated with natural disaster materials, namely particle dynamics, heat and displacement, and static and dynamic fluids. At the design stage, two stages were carried out: the physics module's design and the validation instrument's preparation. At the development phase, validation of the physics module is carried out. Improvement or revision of the module product based on the validation sheet and suggestions from the experts involved. The research data is quantitative data based on the data from the validity of the physics module. The study used a validation assessment sheet instrument. The validity data analysis technique uses a Likert scale. The results of the validation of the physics module for aspects of content, construct, linguistics, and graphics obtained an average value of 89.8% which is categorized as valid. Therefore, the integrated physics module for natural disasters and mitigation that has been designed is declared suitable for use in physics learning according to the material and level of middle school education and can be tested for practicality and effectiveness.

Abstract

Efforts to developing the quality of education is empowering educators. Positive activities that accommodate teachers to improve the quality of education are the activities of the Community of Practice (CoP). Community of Practice (CoP) or KKG in Indonesia Context is a forum for professional development for primary school teachers, and one of which is improving teacher performance. The effectiveness of the CoP really needs to be studied in depth. Therefore, a study was conducted on the role of CoP in improving the performance of primary school teachers in Riau Province. The method is a quantitative descriptive study, which describes the role of CoP activities in improving teacher performance in Riau through quantitative data. The research was carried out in May-August 2020. The participant was elementary schools’ teachers in Riau Province. The data source is the primary school teachers totalling 60 people. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that there are several roles of CoP activities in improving teacher performance, among others: through CoP teachers can discuss in construct learning tools, teachers were able to arrange lesson plans for active learning based on analysis of student needs, learning materials are arranged based on various learning sources, using media active learning, analysing evaluation test and conducting assessments according to active learning and student abilities.

Abstract

The implementation of remote basic physics experiments during a pandemic has its own challenges. This experiment had problems in terms of planning, implementation, and reporting. The purpose of this study are to describe the implementation of synchronous distance learning of fundamental physics experiments using simple tools and to find out students' perceptions regarding the obstacles in the synchronous distance learning implementation of experiments. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The instrument used is a questionnaire distributed using Google Form. The respondents in this study were 69 students who took the fundamental physics experiment course in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. Analysis of research data was carried out using descriptive analysis methods. The results of this study indicated that the application of Google Meetassisted experiments using simple tools and materials that were easily obtained by students could reduce the problem of completing tools and materials by students and the use of Google Meet allowed the mentoring process during the experiment by the lecturer. The most common obstacles encountered by students were obstacles in the implementation phase where sometimes the internet network did not support it while students needed to listen to the direction of the supporting lecturer, especially if the instructions in the manual were not well understood.

Abstract

Physics is a science that deals with practice. In practicum, it is necessary to be supported by teaching materials, one of which is a practicum guide. Practicum is a learning strategy that allows students to empirically train cognitive, psychomotor, and affective abilities simultaneously by using laboratory facilities. The guided inquiry-based practicum guide is expected to help students in practicum. The purpose of this study is to analyze the beginning and end to design a guided inquiry-based practicum guide. The R and D development model used is the ADDIE model, namely the needs analysis stage, one of which is the front end analysis. This type of research is qualitative research which includes descriptive research. Data collection techniques were a questionnaire. The research was conducted at the University of Riau. The results of the research are lecturers have good teaching performance but need to find a practical guide so as to create a student-centered learning. The practicum guide is prepared based on a needs analysis, namely practicum facilities need to be designed in accordance with the practicum objectives.

Abstract

As a village located in Kabun District, Rokan Hulu Regency, Giti Village has great potential in the agricultural sector. One of the dominant agricultural products is spinach as the village's superior product. However, the agricultural products are not processed further but are sent directly to the distributor. For this reason, in this article, we will discuss the development of superior products from Giti Village as an economic driver through education, training, and marketing of spinach nuggets. Education by conducting training; making spinach nuggets and training on making packaging labels. Producing and marketing spinach nuggets. The results of this community service are the creation of a productive and skilled community in making spinach nuggets and making packaging labels, the creation of people who can take advantage of technology in the 4.0 revolution era as an online marketing tool, and the formation of a spinach nuggets home business in Giti Village.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in children due to malnutrition for a long time. Thus, the child is shorter than normal children his age and has a delay in thinking. Generally caused by food intake that is not in accordance with nutritional needs. Stunting is a major nutritional problem in Indonesia. Stunting can be caused by lack of nutritious food intake, exclusive breastfeeding, low birth weight, and a history of infection. Stunting can have an impact on motor and verbal development, as well as an increase in degenerative diseases. The purpose of this study is to increase public knowledge about the dangers of stunting and how to prevent it. This activity was carried out in Rantau Mapesai Village, Rengat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The method used in this service activity is a qualitative method. Data obtained from interviews in the form of parents' last education level and family income. The data collection technique was carried out by observing the environment of the area affected by stunting and documenting during activities at the Melur Posyandu. Next is a literature study to collect data related to stunting from previous journals.

Abstract

Indonesia adalah negara dengan iklim tropis yang memiliki dua musim yaitu musim hujan dan musim kemarau dimana kedua musim ini sulit untuk diprediksi kedatangannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membuat alat pendeteksi hujan sederhana berbasis raindrop sensor menggunakan buzzer dan LED. Rancang bangun prototipe detektor hujan sederhana ini dilengkapi dengan raindrop sensor sebagai sensor hujan serta buzzer dan LED sebagai outputnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Research and Development. Adapun tahap pengembangan dalam penelitian ini meliputi perencanaan, produksi, dan evaluasi. Alat detektor hujan ini terdiri atas komponen-komponen elektronika, yaitu raindrop sensor, buzzer, LED, transistor dan sakelar. Selanjutnya, dilakukan pengujian alat secara keseluruhan untuk melihat apakah alat berfungsi sesuai dengan tujuan. Dari hasil pengujian yang dilakukan membuktikan alat yang dibuat dapat berfungsi dengan baik ketika ada air hujan terbukti ketika sensor hujan mendeteksi adanya hujan maka buzzer akan mengeluarkan suara dan LED-nya menyala. Dari hasil pengujian menunjukkan intensitas bunyi pada buzzer yang berbeda-beda tergantung dari tingkat kelembaban PCB-nya, hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin basah PCB nya, semakin besar pula intensitas bunyi pada buzzer-nya.

Abstract

Berpikir kritis merupakan kemampuan yang penting bagi peserta didik, sehingga berpikir kritis hendaknya menjadi salah satu aktivitas yang harus dikembangkan dan diajarkan di setiap mata pelajaran, karena kemampuan berpikir kritis bukan bawaan sejak lahir dan tidak berkembang secara alami. Pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis tidak hanya dilakukan dalam pembelajaran saja, tetapi juga harus didukung dengan instrumen penilaian yang mencerminkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Namun kenyataanya persentase soal berbasis kemampuan berpikir kritis masih rendah. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan soal berbasis kemampuan berpikir kritis pada materi listrik dinamis dan menentukan kelayakan soal yang telah dikembangkan tersebut ditinjau dari aspek validitas dan reliabilitas. Soal yang dikembangkan pada penelitian ini mengacu pada enam indikator berpikir kritis berdasarkan pendapat Facione. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model penelitian 4D oleh Thiagarajan. Sampel uji coba dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 24 orang peserta didik. Dari hasil uji coba tersebut diketahui bahwa soal yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Uji validitas terdiri dari validitas internal dan validitas eksternal, untuk uji validitas internal dilakukan oleh validator dengan hasil uji validitas berada pada kategori sangat valid dan layak digunakan dengan syarat revisi terlebih dahulu. Sementara itu, pada uji validitas eksternal dilakukan dengan dengan cara uji coba ruang lingkup terbatas pada peserta didik. Diperoleh hasil bahwa 12 dari 24 soal dinyatakan valid. Uji reliabilitas dengan diperoleh hasil sebesar 0,66 sehingga soal dinyatakan reliabel dan tingkat reliabilitas berada pada kategori tinggi. Hasil dari penelitian dan pengembangan yang telah dilakukan tersebut dinyatakan layak dan dapat digunakan sebagai instrumen penilaian kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa

Abstract

This research aims to describe high school students' curiosity about the topic of global warming. The type of research used is quasi-experimental. The research sample consisted of 35 students from group X-2 as the experimental group and 36 students from group X-3 as the control group. The instrument used in this research was a student curiosity questionnaire with 25 statement items which were divided into several indicators, namely the desire to learn something, a strong attitude to know something, and interest in new things. The descriptive analysis pointed out that our results show the average value of curiosity in the experimental group (0.82) is in the very good category compared to the control group (0.74) in the good category. The difference is significant according to inferential analysis, obtaining a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The conclusion obtained is that the use of the SOLE model can increase students' curiosity better in learning physics on global warming material at SMA Negeri 1 Kandis.
