Abstract

This topic was raised based on the phenomena of economic development and environmental sustainability which are contradictory to one another. Various development efforts were carried out for the sake of high economic growth, while the ecological damage caused by excessive exploitation of nature was getting worse. Shares listed on the SRI-KEHATI Index were appointed as research objects because they are a form of implementing SDG's. The main objective of this study is to estimate the factors that influence the stock price of companies listed on SRI-KEHATI, as well as to estimate the effect of these stock prices on production growth. The data used in this study are cross sectional data and panel data. Where the cross-sectional data collected are all companies registered with SRI-KEHATI for 10 consecutive years and the sample was taken in 2017. Meanwhile, the panel data collected is data on all companies registered with SRI-KEHATI for 10 consecutive years and samples were taken from 2009 to 2017. Based on the estimation results using the multiple regression method using E-Views 10 software, in the first model a goodness of fit () value was obtained of 0.999999 or 99.99%. Partially, the independent variables namely PER, EPS, TAT, and BB have a positive and significant effect on stock prices (HS), while the BIF variable has a negative and significant effect on HS. Simultaneously, the independent variables have a positive and significant effect on HS. In the second model, the goodness of fit () value is 0. 001599 or 0.15%. Variable Stock Price (HS) which is influenced by PER, EPS, TAT, BB, and BIF has a positive and not significant effect on Production Growth (PP).

Abstract

Abstract

Disaster mitigation is a systematic effort to reduce disaster risks through pre-disaster planning, vulnerability reduction, and capacity building to support sustainable development. In South Labuhanbatu Regency, geographic conditions, climate change, and land-use dynamics, particularly lowlands, dense river networks, high rainfall, and extensive oil palm plantations, increase the risk of flooding and environmental degradation. Therefore, mitigation efforts must be specific, based on a vulnerability analysis that integrates environmental aspects into spatial planning strategies. Data analysis was conducted spatially using GIS through map digitization and georeferencing, land use classification, and overlay analysis between physical conditions of the region, land use, and disaster potential. Spatial analysis shows that is dominated by flood hazards, covering 34,224.8 Ha (9.59%) of the total area, mainly in Kampung Rakyat, Kotapinang, Sungai Kanan, and Torgamba, while Silangkitang is not flood-prone. Flood vulnerability is closely related to lowland areas along the Barumun Watershed, where peatland conditions and oil palm–dominated land use reduce infiltration and increase surface runoff. Landslide hazards are limited to Torgamba and Sungai Kanan due to hilly terrain and land clearing, while active fault intensity varies spatially, with the highest levels in Silangkitang, highlighting the importance of integrating geological risk into spatial planning.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the phenomenon of changes in consumption behavior in food, which initially the people of Medan City preferred American Style food, changing to preferring Korean Style food, this causes a change in consumption behavior in society. The main objective of this study is to analyze what factors cause behavioral changes and analyze the indicators that have been determined in food consumption to Korean food style. This type of research uses qualitative data through primary data by snowball sampling from non-probability samples using a Likert scale, to produce descriptive data. The use of Smart-PLS software is used to process the data. Indonesia's trade with the United States and South Korea has increased over time, including food from both countries. The results achieved are the decision to consume Korean food, all 4 indicators meet, but the indicator remains American food reaching 0.587, the rest achieve validity> 0.829. Furthermore, for Convergent validity, the 4 factors, namely Culture, Personal, Social and Psychological, all meet> 0.865. The results of the hypothesis test show that all factors also meet at> 0.05. So the conclusion is that young people in Medan City are experiencing a change in their food consumption behavior from American to Korean Food Style but have not completely abandoned their older food.

Abstract

Open unemployment is an important indicator of economic development as it reflects an economy's ability to generate employment opportunities. This study examines the effects of investment, economic growth, and minimum wage on the open unemployment rate in North Sumatra Province using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach. North Sumatra was selected because it is one of Indonesia's major economic growth centers, characterized by high investment inflows while still experiencing fluctuating unemployment. The novelty of this study lies in applying the ARDL model to simultaneously estimate both short-run and long-run relationships using semiannual data from the first semester of 2010 to the second semester of 2025. Secondary data were obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), and other official sources. The findings confirm the existence of a long-run cointegration relationship among the variables. In the long run, investment, economic growth, and minimum wage significantly reduce the open unemployment rate, whereas in the short run only investment and economic growth exhibit significant effects. These findings enrich the regional labor economics literature and provide empirical evidence for policies promoting labor-intensive investment, inclusive economic growth, and balanced wage-setting to reduce unemployment in North Sumatra.
