Abstract

Manajemen peningkatan mutu pendidikan karakter sangat dibutuhkan dalam dunia pendidikan , ia merupakan seni dan sekaligus ilmu dalam mengelola sumberdaya pendidikan karakter untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan secara efektif dan efisien. Apabila tata kelola sebuah lembaga pendidikan menggunakan sistem manajemen yang baik, maka akan menghasilkan mutu pendidikan yang baik dan siap bersaing dengan lembaga lain. Para stakeholder pendidikan sangat berharap adanya pendidikan atau lembaga pendidikan yang bermutu. Hal ini harus terus menerus diupayakan oleh semua pihak, baik pemerintah pusat, pemerintah daerah, pengusaha, lembaga pendidikan,para guru, dosen, tenaga kependidikan, dan masyarakat akademis lainnya yang peduli terhadap dunia pendidikan. Di sisi lain, lembaga pendidikan harus dapat memberikan pelayanan yang baik dan bermutu agar tidak ditinggalkan, dan dengan cara inilah lembaga pendidikan akan tetap eksis dan dapat bertahan hingga akhir zaman. Kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi sejatinya diimbangi dengan penguatan nilai-nilai agama, budaya, dan sosiologi. Karena tujuan pendidikan pada hakikatnya bukan hanya mencerdaskan anak didik secara intelek saja. Akan tetapi juga nilai-nilai apektif dan psikomotorik jangan dilupakan. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan karakter yang berbasis agama, budaya, dan sosiologi mutlak diperlukan, karena untuk mengimbangi perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi yang sangat cepat dan menggelobal ke semua penjuru dunia tanpa kecuaili Indonesia.

Abstract

The development of the times is a challenge that cannot be avoided. At present, the development of the world of education is in the spotlight. Educators' reduced aesthetic and moral values are particular problem that must be faced. In this case, the thoughts of the nation's teacher, KH Hasyim Asy'ari, try to provide answers and conceptions that can answer the problem and are still relevant for use in the current era. The type of research used in this study is qualitative descriptive research, and the type of classification of this research is based on research technical literature; the data studied is in the form of books and literature sourced from literature. The results of this study are the relevance of Islamic religious thought in education according to KH Hasyim Asy'ari with the changes and developments of this era that Islamic education has the goal of increasing the degree of piety to God and creating or arousing a productive and dynamic human spirit on the right path.

Abstract

The environmental crisis has become an urgent global issue due to damage caused by human activities and failures in environmental management, such as improper waste handling that triggers flooding, as well as mining and industrial activities that drive ongoing climate crises. This phenomenon reflects humanity’s failure to fulfill its role as stewards (khalifah) of the earth. This study aims to analyze the concept of ecological piety from the perspective of Qur’anic exegesis and to explore its application in green Islamic character education. Employing a qualitative approach with a literature review method, this research examines classical and contemporary tafsir texts, books, and relevant scholarly articles. Data were collected through in-depth document analysis and thematically analyzed to identify key concepts and strategies for implementing environmentally conscious character education. The findings reveal that ecological piety in the Qur’an emphasizes moral and spiritual responsibility to preserve the environment as an act of worship and devotion to Allah SWT. Ecological piety needs to be integrated into Islamic education curricula to cultivate environmentally caring attitudes grounded in faith. The implications of this study encourage the development of green Islamic character education models to support the creation of environmentally aware Muslim generations who are responsible for the earth’s sustainability.
