Abstract

Perangkat pembelajaran yang digunakan sekolah saat ini belum optimal dalam membantu peserta didik membangun pemahamannya. Pembelajaran pada setiap pertemuan yang diterapkan oleh guru masih seperti bagaimana biasanya mereka melaksanakan pembelajaran yaitu dengan menjelaskan materi pelajaran, memberikan contoh-contoh penerapan, memberikan latihan, dan di akhir pembelajaran guru memberikan Pekerjaan Rumah (PR). Ketidakpahaman peserta didik terhadap konsep membuat kemampuan peserta didik jadi rendah. Untuk itu perlu dikembangkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika yang dapat memberikan kesempatan bagi peserta didik untuk mengkonstruksikan pengetahuan dan meningkatkan hasil belajarnya. Pada penelitian ini, dikembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis ACE yang diharapkan mencapai sasaran tersebut. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dari upaya pengembangan ini adalah menghasikan perangkat pembelajaran matematika berbasis ACE yang praktis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis ACE yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria praktis pada setiap aspeknya, menurut respon guru dengan rata-rata nilai keseluruhan 90% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Untuk praktikalitas respon peserta didik rata-rata keseluruhan mendapat nilai 80,35% dengan kategori praktis.

Abstract

Enjoyable mathematics learning is the hope of every student. Where learning facilitates students to discover the principles of the material studied in a meaningful way. Teachers can do this by designing interesting learning activities and encouraging students to use their thinking patterns. For this reason, it is necessary to develop mathematics learning tools that can provide opportunities for students to construct knowledge and improve their learning outcomes. So an ACE-based learning tool was developed which is expected to achieve this target. The goal to be achieved from this development effort is to produce effective ACE-based mathematics learning tools. The learning developed is in the form of Student Worksheets (LKPD). The subjects of this research were students of class XI Culinary Arts at SMK N 6 Padang, class This learning tool is effective in terms of student learning outcomes. In this case, the learning outcomes of experimental class students were 87.50% of students scored above the KKM, while 60% of control class students scored above the KKM. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the ACE-based learning tools for mathematics learning in class XI Catering 2 can be declared effective.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of Phase F Fashion Design students at SMKN 6 Padang, addressing persistently low achievement under conventional, teacher-centered instruction. A true experimental method with a posttest-only control design was employed, involving 30 students in an experimental class taught using the NHT model and 30 students in a control class taught conventionally; the classes were selected through cluster random sampling after the population was confirmed normally distributed and homogeneous in variance. Data were collected using an essay-based achievement test that had been validated and tested for reliability. Results showed the experimental class achieved a higher mean score (80.70) than the control class (75.40), with mastery percentages of 70% and 52% against the minimum mastery criterion of 75, respectively. Since the Liliefors normality test indicated the achievement data in both groups were not normally distributed, hypothesis testing was conducted using the nonparametric Mann-Whitney U test, yielding a Zcalculated value of 2.33, which exceeded the Ztable value of 1.65 at a significance level of α = 0.05, leading to the rejection of H0 and acceptance of H1. These findings demonstrate that the NHT cooperative learning model produced significantly better mathematics learning outcomes than conventional learning among Phase F Fashion Design students. The study concludes that NHT, through its numbering and random-calling mechanism, fosters individual accountability and group cooperation, making it a viable strategy for improving student engagement and mathematics achievement in vocational secondary education.
