Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze (1) the effect of 40-yard square-carioca training on speed; (2) the effect of 40-yard square-carioca training on agility; (3) the effect of snake jump training on speed; (4) the effect of snake jump training on agility; (5) which one is the most effective 40-yard square-carioca exercise or snake jump for speed; (6) which one is the most effective 40-yard square-carioca exercise or snake jump for agility. The sampel of this research is soccer students extracurricular of SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsari, with 30 subjects. this study is quantitative with a quasi-experimental method. The design of this study uses only matching design, with data analysis using ANOVA. Data retrieval uses a 30 meters sprint to measure speed and agility t-test to measure agility at pretest and posttest. Furthermore, the research data were analyzed using the help of SPSS series 22.0. The results showed: (1) There is a significant effect of the 40-yard square-carioca training program on speed; (2) There is a significant effect of the 40-yard square-carioca training program on agility; (3) There is a significant influence on the snake jump training program on speed; (4) There is a significant influence on the snake jump training program on agility; (5) The most effective exercise is a 40-yard square-carioca; (6) The most effective exercise is a 40-yard square-carioca. Based on the results, we can concluded that both experimental groups have an increase to improve in speed and agility for each group after being given training. In addition, there is a better (effective) influence between the three groups seen from the increase in speed and agility through the ANOVA test, where a 40-yard square-carioca exercise gives a better influence than the snake jump and control group exercises on speed and agility. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tentang: (1) pengaruh latihan 40-yard square-carioca terhadap kecepatan; (2) pengaruh latihan 40-yard square-carioca terhadap kelincahan; (3) pengaruh latihan snake jump terhadap kecepatan; (4) pengaruh latihan snake jump terhadap kelincahan; (5) manakah paling efektif latihan 40-yard square-carioca dan snake jump terhadap kecepatan; (6) manakah paling efektif latihan 40-yard square-carioca dan snake jump terhadap kelincahan. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa ekstrakurikuler sepakbola SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsari dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 orang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan matching only design, dengan analisis data menggunakan ANOVA. Proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan tes lari 30 meter dan tes agilityT-test pada saat pretest dan posttest. Selanjutnya data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan bantuan SPSS seri 22.0. Hasil penelitian menujukkan: (1) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan program latihan 40-yard square-carioca terhadap kecepatan; (2) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan program latihan 40-yard square-carioca terhadap kelincahan; (3) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan program latihan snake jump terhadap kecepatan; (4) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan program latihan snake jump terhadap kelincahan; (5) Yang paling efektif antara latihan 40-yard square-carioca dan snake jump dalam meningkatkan kecepatan adalah 40-yard square-carioca; (6) Yang paling efektif antara latihan 40-yard square-carioca dan snake jump dalam meningkatkan kelincahan adalah 40-yard square-carioca. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kecepatan dan kelincahan untuk masing-masing kelompok setelah diberikan latihan. Selain itu, terdapat pengaruh yang lebih baik (efektif) antara ketiga kelompok dilihat dari peningkatan kecepatan dan kelincahan melalui uji ANOVA, dimana latihan 40-yard square-carioca memberikan pengaruh yang lebih baik dari latihan snake jump dan kelompok kontrol terhadap kecepatan dan kelincahan. Abstract

Speed and agility are two important components in sports. Both are commonly used to indicate an athlete's physical fitness in training. Therefore, special training is needed to improve speed and agility. Exercise is an activity that is carried out repeatedly to achieve better physical, mental, and psychological enhancement. The type of exercise used varies for each physical condition that needs to be improved. This study examined the use of 40-yard sprint and A-movement exercise to improve speed and agility. The research design is a quasi- experimental study with participants consist of 30 male students of SMAN 1 Banyuwangi, aged 16-18 years old, who are members of futsal extracurricular club. The training program was conducted for 6 weeks with a frequency of 3 meetings every Sunday. The obtained results of statistical calculations were normal and homogeneous data. Calculation of the effect test with α = 5% obtained significance values of 0.00 for speed and 0.004 for agility. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the 40-yard sprint and A-movement exercise combined are effective to improve speed and agility. Further research is suggested to find out which type of exercise is better at increasing speed and agility.
