Abstract

Zat warna prada baik yang berujud bubuk maupun pasta dilekatkan pada kain dengan bantuan binder metalik dan air pada kekentalan tertentu. Dari hasil penelitian yang terdahulu (Sulaeman dkk., DKB., Nomer X, 1992), ternyata pada saat pasta prada dilekatkan masih terdapat indikasi ketidaklancaran aliran melalui lubang canting. Hambatan tersebut akan diatasi dengan merubah campuran pasta prada menjadi sistem emulsi.Dalam percobaan ini sebagai pembentuk fasa kontinyu dipilih zat-zat berikut: minyak ikan, vernis dan terpentin yang digunakan baik secara tunggal atau campurannya, sedang komposisi dan waktu pembentukan emulsi dibuat variatif. Untuk membentuk sistem emulsi, dicoba 2 (dua) jenis emulsifier yaitu glycerin dan emulcifier TS.Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa pasta prada dalam bentuk emulsi (W/O) dengan fase kontinyu campuran minyak ikan, vernis dan terpentin (0,25 : 1 :1 ), emulsifier TS dan waktu pembentukan emulsi 5 menit, meningkatkan kelancaran aliran secara total dengan laju kering 5 – 10 menit baik pada katun maupun pada sutera, di samping keunggulan yang lain seperti kilau dan ketahanan luntur terhadap pencucian dan gosokan.Zat warna prada baik yang berujud bubuk maupun pasta dilekatkan pada kain dengan bantuan binder metalik dan air pada kekentalan tertentu. Abstract

Maritime transportation plays a vital role in supporting Indonesia’s economy as an archipelagic nation. One of the crucial aspects of maintaining ship operations is the lubrication system of the main engine gearbox, which uses a Lo Cooler as an auxiliary device to cool the lubricating oil. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method through direct observation, interviews with the First Engineer and Chief Engineer (KKM), and documentation during sea practice on KM. Binaiya. The findings show that the main causes of leakage include cracked Lo Cooler tubes due to corrosion and sediment buildup, unstable lubricating oil pressure, elevated oil temperatures, and improper gasket installation. The handling efforts include regular maintenance, maintaining proper oil pressure and temperature, and repairing damaged tubes and gaskets. This research highlights the importance of routine inspections and lubrication system maintenance to prevent serious disruptions in ship operations.

Abstract

Abstract The national education system of Indonesia aims to enlighten the nation's life by developing students' potential into individuals who are faithful, morally upright, healthy, capable, creative, independent, and responsible democratic citizens. The educational framework includes curriculum, teaching methods, evaluation, and management of educational institutions designed to shape character and moral values. Although the government has established National Education Standards related to the qualifications and competencies of educators and educational personnel, various issues still exist in their development and management. Therefore, new innovations are necessary to achieve holistic quality education. Purpose – This research aims to determine the qualification standards and competencies of educators in maritime education as well as understand the evaluation and supervision standards applied. Methodology – The research method employs a qualitative approach with literature analysis from various regulations related to higher vocational maritime education in Indonesia. Findings – The findings indicate that changes in educator standards are crucial for maintaining relevance with rapid developments in the maritime industry regarding technology and regulations. This change process involves analyzing industry needs up to continuous evaluation. However, challenges such as limited qualifications of educators; inability of standards to respond to changes; ineffective evaluation systems; lack of oversight; limited access to professional training; and misalignment between programs need addressing. Originality – Continuous professional training for educators must be conducted so that graduates possess skills aligned with industry needs in maritime sectors
